My wife's mother passed away, she had moved from California and lived in Mexico the last ** years. We were not able to get there for the ceremony in Mexico so we booked a flight to visit family in California for a week. It was unknown that they would have a memorial for her in the states. The memorial has now been scheduled for the day after we leave. We're looking to reschedule our departure so we can attend the memorial but the changes to our flights cost as much as the cost to book the original flight.
