Boot from SD card in the slot in the front of the machine. ... AMI BIOS *.*.* in dell vostro *** wont let me select usb drive in the boot order menu even though it used to boot the drive without adjusting the boot order menu at all. Now the boot order menu has all boot devices listed in *brackets* with a message in a panel on the right saying, ‘A device enclosed in parenthesis has been disabled in the corresponding type menu’ I dont know what the next step should be. AMI says they dont offer customer service to end users for BIOS, call the system manufacturer. H E L P ! ! !
Device that used to be listed in boot order BIOS menu cant be selected. BIOS message: ‘A device enclosed in parenthesis has been disabled in the corresponding type menu’ There is no such menu in all of the BIOS interface.
Tell me dwhat I must do to restore the boot-from-usb function. ...OR... help me get info from AMI in Norcross GA to tell me how to resolve this problem. Reset BIOS and replace CMOS battery had no effect.
