I went to the local cricket store for help pwith my SIM card & was told that the SIM reader no longer worked (on a phone less than a year old) & that i needed a new phone. I picked out a phone & was told i was eligible for a specific price (upgrade price) yet was charged a different price (byop price) luithan what i was told & was even charged )lan upgrade fee even though i wasnt being charged for the upgrade (the byop was more expensive). I was also signed up for cricket protect which i did not ask for or agree to but was charged for. Ive been a cricket customer for **yrs & this is how a long time customer is treated? Cricket has lots of deals to attract new customers yet has no deals for their existing customers. I ended up paying $*** for a less than par phone that im already having problems with when i could've purchased a phone online much cheaper that was far better than the one im stuck with. After **yrs of service, im fed up with the lack of customer service provided by cricket. I honestly cant think of one reason to continue my phone service with this company unless they start offering incentives to keep their existing customers. Providing deals for new customers is great & i understand why they do it but what's the point if once they become a customer, theres no incentive to stay?! If you ask me, its just bad business. Ive cancelled the cricket protect & id like an explanation for why i was told my new phone was going to be one price yet was charged a higher price. I will no longer recommend cricket to anyone & will start shopping for new cell phone service thru other companies.
