Back in May, I had to file an insurance claim on my phone. A ZTE Blade X Max . They would only offer the alcatel idol at the time. So I was forced to chose that option as it was "a comparable product." They sent me the Alcatel Idol. It did not work properly. I had to send it in to warranty to get it replaced. I told the lady I did not want another alcatel. I wanted the ZTE. She told me she could only give me the same model phone as the one I had. She sent to over to the customer service line. The operator on that line was incredibly helpful. She spoke with management and said it was OK'd by management to get me the ZTE. She then said she needed to call over to warranty to give them the information. I sat on hold, was put in the warranty queue, and then hung up on. Apparently this very helpful lady also failed to make any notes. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with this alcatel ( but I have only had it for a few hours), but I am saying this is an inferior product compared to what I had, I am not happy at all. And I am ready to switch providers. All I am asking is to get the same make and model that I bought in the first place, that I also paid for insurance on. I do not like the alcatel at all. Somehow yesterday when I called back to complain again, I managed to get connected with asurion somehow, and they told me to fill out a claim. This phone is not damaged, so I am not sure why they would tell me that. What I want here is to get the make and model phone I purchased in the first place. ZTE Blade X Max. I paid a good deal of money for that phone and the "acceptable replacement" was not even close in quality. If you can not fulfill this request, I will be forced to move to another carrier.
