I believe my daughter’s controlling and harassing ex-boyfriend has stooped to a new low. He posted a sexually explicit ad on Craigslist in the Columbus GA missed connections category on 3/18 around 2:00 PM EST. Unfortunately, the ad contained vulgar language and led to unwelcome texts and inappropriate pictures being sent to my phone. The post was flagged and removed by your company, but I am unable to retrieve the 10-digit posting ID. I suspect Cody Weems is behind this malicious act and would like to know the original poster's details for confirmation. The ad has already been taken down by CL between 2:30 - 2:45 EST yesterday. I urgently seek your assistance in uncovering this individual's identity. Thank you. Sincerely, O. Robbins

I am unsure if this should be flagged, but I have been searching for a zero-turn riding mower for a week. I keep seeing two different ads for reasonably priced mowers, but no one responds when I email them. The same ad for a lawnmower appears in Tucson and then in Yuma, listed differently. It seems like they may be purposely delaying response to prevent me from looking at other options. This tactic might give them an advantage in purchasing lawnmowers before others. One ad is for a Scag mower for $[redacted], and the other is for a Country Cutter at $[redacted]. It's a bit confusing, but I hope it makes sense.

I was inquiring about a house for rent via email. After multiple interactions via text and phone calls, the person claimed I needed to send $[redacted] upfront to a lawyer to hold the home. They insisted they were not selling the house despite a for sale sign. The caller spoke with an accent, and I suspected fraud with attempts to extort money. They tried to contact me from a new number this morning. I have recorded their calls, revealing inconsistencies in their story. They claimed to have a lawyer ready once the $[redacted] was wired, despite saying they were local. They mentioned their family moving to Arizona. I have not seen the house or met them. I contacted Santa Cruz PD, and they advised me to reach out here. If you can assist in stopping such scams, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - J.

I recently responded to an ad for a husky puppy but upon arrival, I discovered it was an Alaskan Husky, not a Siberian Husky as advertised. The owner initially claimed the puppy was eight weeks old with a birthdate of 1-17-19 but later changed the date when questioned. Despite the misleading information, I paid $[redacted] for the puppy due to concerns about the living conditions. The owners became defensive and used profanity when confronted about the discrepancies. I believe they may not fully grasp the seriousness of the situation. I have blocked them after this incident. I have evidence including pictures of the living conditions, the ad, and our conversation. The phone number associated with the seller is +1 [redacted].

I have placed a listing for a Sleep Number bed today, and I wanted to share a conversation I had with a potential buyer named Rose. Here is the transcript: Rose: Hi, I'm interested in buying your Sleep Number Split King bed for $[redacted]. Me: Feel free to call me at [redacted] if you have any questions. Me: I'm available today and tomorrow. Are you a genuine buyer? Rose: Yes, I'm real. When can I see the bed? I’m flexible with the timing. Me: Sure, send me the code for verification. Me: I received the code [redacted]. Me: Which community are you coming from? Me: When would you like to see the bed? Me: I sent the code. Are you a legitimate buyer? Me: I’m concerned now if you are genuine. I am seeking advice on my interaction with this potential buyer. Any suggestions on how to handle this situation?

My roommate is interested in buying my iPhone, but he frequently uses your website for work. Every time I try to make a post from this phone, it gets blocked immediately, and I am unable to respond to posts. I'm unsure of where I should address this issue. I reached out to Verizon, and they mentioned it might be related to my account rather than the phone itself. How can I resolve this so I can demonstrate to him that he can make and respond to posts? I'm beginning to think I may have violated some policy. It seems like my account is restricted, possibly due to some posts I made discussing a legal medication related to [redacted], which I now understand was flagged for a reason I wasn't aware of, despite it being legal. Selling my phone to him is challenging without proving it works. I've already contacted my WiFi provider and phone network, but I'm at a loss. It's been frustrating dealing with this despite my love for Craigslist. I hope there is a solution to this as I can't seem to reply to anything currently.

Five weeks ago, I bought a puppy on Craigslist, and the seller told me I would receive papers. However, after trying to contact them, they stopped responding to my texts, blocked my number, and disconnected theirs. In need of a registered puppy for my service dog's training, I found another listing and realized it was the same people. Initially going by Alyssa, now claiming to be Michelle, their inconsistency and request for $[redacted] instead of $[redacted] raised red flags. Despite mentioning my previous scam experience, they reassured me about providing papers. With a new phone number and young puppies, they are attempting to deceive me again without realizing I am the same person. I have evidence from text messages and a photo of their license, confirming their identity. I have involved the police, who suggested reaching out here as I suspect they may change their number once more.

I came across this listing on Missoula Craigslist for a "like-new" BMW X5. The seller, who goes by the name Rhonda Wallace, explained that the car is currently in Pennsylvania and is being sold through an escrow company called IKA Group LLC. The seller highlighted that the company offers [redacted]% protection and insurance to both buyers and sellers. Potential buyers have the option to test drive the car for 5 days before committing to the purchase. If interested, one needs to provide their full name, delivery address, and phone number for the seller to notify IKA Group LLC. The seller assures that shipping costs are included in the price. The car is described as having various packages and features, including a clear title, winter wheels, and tires. The asking price is $21,[redacted], with the reason for selling being a personal loss and the need to fund her son's college education. Overall, the seller, Rhonda Wallace, is looking to start a new chapter in Levittown, PA, and is willing to facilitate the sale through the mentioned escrow company.

I am a terminally ill patient and unfortunately fell victim to a scam while trying to purchase an RV on Craigslist for medical treatment. Despite explaining my situation to the seller, who goes by the name Teddy from Jersey Shore, I was deceived and now struggling to reach him for a refund. I traveled a long distance with cash to buy the RV but was met by his brother and asked to leave a deposit. When I tried to follow up, I faced insults and refusal to return my money. Please beware of this seller, Teddy, who can be reached at [redacted] as he is still attempting to sell the RV.

This forum user shared their experience with a potential scam involving a fake job opportunity for a Graphic Designer in Denver. The advertisement posted on Craigslist offered a compensation of $28 to $38 per hour for a part-time position at The Weitz Company. The job description emphasized the need for a creative individual proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with skills in areas such as logo design, web design using WordPress, and presentation creation. The user highlighted that the interview turned out to be a scam after a two-hour Google Hangout meeting led to pressure to purchase equipment. It serves as a warning to others about potentially fraudulent job postings.

I lost my LG phone in Wayne County. I posted an ad about it and was contacted by a user at [redacted] with code [redacted]. The message appeared as #[redacted]. They claimed to have found my phone but stopped communication after I shared the code. Another user who found an LG phone had an ad with the number 1.[redacted], but it vanished after my ad went up. I'm unsure how I lost my phone and will report it as stolen by conversion. I plan to reach out to Law Enforcement. Any help on getting more information about these numbers is appreciated.

My brother placed an ad on Craigslist looking for a room to rent in Fort Myers, Florida. After giving Tracy Remick a $[redacted] deposit and receiving a receipt, he was informed by her on March 30th that her 8-year-old daughter was uncomfortable with a roommate. When he asked for his deposit back, she hung up and kept the money. Despite no agreement stating the deposit was non-refundable, she refused to return it. He reported the incident to the Lee County Police, but they referred to it as a civil matter. Tracy has a history of police reports for theft. We want to prevent her from scamming others on Craigslist. My brother relies on public transportation and has health issues. I have evidence including the receipt, her photo, and text messages requesting the return of the deposit. Tracy claimed to be a married woman with a sick husband and young daughter, but I have found her online engaging in questionable activities.

In [redacted], a friend assisted me in creating a Craigslist account to aid in searching for my missing dog. I am unsure if the account still exists and find myself with two recorded passwords, unsure of the correct one. I am experiencing computer issues where data has vanished. I kindly request Craigslist customer service to verify the existence of my account and assist me privately with this matter.

Our posts keep getting flagged repeatedly, and we're not sure why. We suspected it might be related to our IP address, so we switched computers. We also changed the content in our ads but are still facing the same issue. To provide more information about us, we have included our website and YouTube links on our page. I considered it could be email address related, but I'm uncertain. We have been following the rules by posting an ad every two days on Craigslist. We have tried to contact Craigslist through their billing message option but received no response. We were considering paying for ads on Craigslist for easier posting, but it seems there are only fees and not paid ads as I thought. Any insights on what else might be causing this and how to fix it promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any assistance.

I am posting on the Craigslist community about the Paradise fire. I am reaching out to people who have no one to talk to. Many individuals are in shock over their homes and lives being taken from them. There are tens of millions of dollars intended for the fire victims, yet they have received no assistance. Instead, the funds are being spent on unnecessary projects like building roundabouts and expensive trucks for brush pickup. There are concerns about the inefficiency of the money's allocation, with millions spent on equipment and transportation that could be handled more cost-effectively on-site. Live trees are being logged, and trucks are transporting materials haphazardly. I believe my posts are being unfairly flagged because some do not want this information exposed. This situation could affect anyone, such as your family members or even you. Without stopping the flagging, these important stories may not reach others. I have even requested stories from Cal Fire and asked the flagger to explain their actions.

On Friday, I visited craigslist to purchase tickets for the Purdue/Virginia game in Louisville, KY on 3/30. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam listing on your platform. I believe Craigslist should take better care of verifying the postings on their site. I've been attempting to speak with a representative over the phone since midday, but they insisted on communicating via email. I believe that direct phone conversations are more effective. I am demanding a refund of $[redacted] for the two tickets I purchased. While I can provide my email for correspondence, I urge Craigslist to prioritize phone communication to address this issue promptly. kirk

I purchased a leather sectional sofa and paid through PayPal. We confirmed pickup details via text, but the seller canceled the arrangement last minute. Although I received a refund, I feel they acted unfairly as we had a prior agreement. I invested time and effort into finding the perfect sofa and had to pass on other options. I believe Craigslist should ban this seller and their spouse to prevent similar incidents for other buyers.

Hello, I have advertised my apartment for rent with you for over two decades. I have not encountered any issues with my account until today when I realized my ad was flagged and removed. Despite reposting it multiple times, it is promptly flagged and taken down. I even tried using a different email to create a new account, but the same issue occurred. The ad in question has been trouble-free for many years. I started using a VPN service recently, and I suspect a disgruntled computer programmer I evicted might be behind the flagging. Can you please assist me with this matter?

There is a concerning ad on Craigslist from Duluth, MN that appears to be a scam. The ad mentions having tickets available for sale, specifically Luke Combs tickets for $[redacted]. After contacting the seller at 1([redacted])-[redacted], we arranged payment through PayPal. Despite assurances, the tickets were never received as promised. I acknowledge the error in sending money beforehand and urge caution to others. This user seems adept at manipulation. It is important to bring attention to this fraudulent post, have it removed, and prevent others from falling victim. Thank you for taking the necessary steps to address this issue.
