As an experienced nanny/caregiver in Phoenix, Arizona, I've applied to at least 40 job postings nearby. I've noticed that my messages have been seen, but I haven't received any replies. Some job postings show that the start date has passed but are still open. It would be great if families could communicate with caregivers, even to let us know if a position has been filled. The job search process has changed from interacting with real people/agencies to using apps and sending messages, which can be frustrating. We caregivers are eager to secure a job and would appreciate better communication from families.

I recently applied for a nanny job that required a background check. I was open about an impaired driving incident from 1/18/18, which had no legal consequences and did not involve children. Despite this, I was hired as the incident was a learning experience for me. However, now that I'm seeking more opportunities, my account has been suspended. I am eager to have it reinstated so I can continue working. I want to emphasize that the impaired driving incident was a one-time mistake, and I have a clean record otherwise. As a dedicated and responsible nanny and a parent myself, this job is vital for me to support my family. I hope the employers can understand my situation and allow me to resume my job search. Despite my efforts to communicate my boundaries, the individual continued to message me inappropriately. I originally intended to sign up for a three-month membership but have been continuously billed for renewals without being able to cancel. I wasn't aware of the ongoing charges and have not used the site due to a negative experience. I tried to find a tutor for my son but was uncomfortable with a person I almost contacted. I have made multiple attempts to cancel my membership to no avail. I had to cancel the credit card you are billing me on as a last resort. I am requesting a reimbursement for the last fee charged. Your company needs to address these issues and rectify the situation appropriately. Thank you.

I hired a caregiver named Mavis Manigault from your website to assist me. I am a quadriplegic due to a car accident caused by a drunk driver, needing continuous care with ADLs. Unfortunately, the caregiver abruptly left on Oct. 3rd at 4:30 pm, leaving me alone without care as scheduled for the next 3 days while my husband was away. With no family members, I was left in a difficult situation. The caregiver mentioned having a CNA license, but her actions of patient abandonment are concerning. I urge you to remove her from your site to prevent others from experiencing the distress I just faced.

Despite applying for several positions, I have not received any responses. I am in urgent need of a job to support my family and cover expenses, especially with the holidays approaching. I value communication and prefer personal interactions over sharing photos online due to personal sensitivity. I have encountered several problems with Care.com after their recent site update. I was informed that my profile doesn't comply with their guidelines, and now I'm unable to view my background check. Consequently, my profile has been marked as inactive. I'm dissatisfied with the premium membership I purchased and am considering canceling it unless this is resolved. I've reached out via email multiple times but haven't received a satisfactory resolution. This platform is crucial for my livelihood and supporting my family, so this situation is very concerning to me.

I recently completed my last day as a nanny for a family I worked with for over a year. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and overslept, leading to my previous employer informing me via text that my paycheck for the week had been cancelled. This action doesn't seem fair or legal, as I believe I should be compensated for the hours I worked. Additionally, I feel that threatening to delete my care.com account is unjust, given my positive track record of caring for their children without incident for over a year. I am concerned that this one error does not reflect my overall performance. If my account is deleted, I feel that fair treatment should apply to both parties, as the employer, Romeo White, had previously issued bad checks to me in October [redacted] and has a history of not paying for hours worked. I have been a member for a year and am in the top 1% of caregivers in my area with excellent reviews. Unfortunately, I have been wrongfully charged with a misdemeanor that is still active. I am waiting for it to be dismissed before or on the court date in March [redacted]. This incident is unrelated to my work and is not valid. I have been informed by an attorney that the charge should not even appear on a background check unless there is a conviction. Despite not being at fault or found guilty, Sterling Talent says the report is accurate. This situation is affecting my account with Care.com, which is my main source of income. Being temporarily unavailable or suspended is causing me to lose opportunities with new families. I want to continue working and have a great record with Care.com. I voluntarily took the background check and would not have done so if I had been guilty.

I have reached out to Care.com multiple times regarding the issue of not being able to process a background check. The bank account I previously used for this purpose has been closed, rendering the debit card and account obsolete. I am unable to input a new debit card or bank account information on the platform. This situation is preventing me from applying for jobs that require a background check. Additionally, I temporarily paused my Premium Membership while addressing this matter, but now it appears that I no longer have premium access. I have been trying to rectify these issues for a few months now without success. I would appreciate specific assistance tailored to my situation as the generic responses provided so far have not resolved these critical problems in a timely manner. I hired a cleaner for my house. We discussed the tasks, price, and timing in detail beforehand. Despite confirming everything two days before the appointment, the cleaner seemed understanding. We agreed on a time for her to arrive, 7:30 AM on Sunday, and I stressed the importance of punctuality. When she didn't show up, I tried contacting her but received no response. Unfortunately, I had to handle other errands we discussed, like going to Home Depot, and was left waiting. It was disappointing and inconvenient as I had arranged my schedule around her visit.

I had a phone interview with Karyl and we agreed on a price and the time she would arrive. She kindly offered to drive me to Home Depot to rent a wet vac. I messaged her multiple times as planned, but she only replied at 8:15 AM saying she had just woken up. Despite feeling a bit frustrated, I gave her a second chance. Unfortunately, I accidentally sent her a text meant for my brother expressing my concerns. When she finally responded, she felt I was treating her poorly. I tried to clarify, but she decided she wasn't the right fit for the job. I later noticed she only had two stars on care.com, and I feel she shouldn't be allowed to work there. I would like to contact care.com customer service to address this issue.

My account got suspended, and I'm uncertain why. Recently, I stopped working for a employer I found on care.com because of late payments and unprofessionalism. I have messages screenshots to support my claims. If this led to my suspension, I'm disappointed. I have a good reputation working with kids for almost a decade, and this experience is new and disheartening. It feels unfair that the employer's word is valued over mine without even hearing my side. The focus should be on both parties. It's disappointing to see employers favored without considering the employees' perspective. This situation highlights the imbalance in the system, where employers seem to always come out on top.

After building many positive relationships with families over the years, I find myself in a distressing situation now. I dedicated 16 years to caring for the children of a pediatric gastroenterologist, nurturing them from infancy to adolescence. While I may have offered suggestions along the way, I always respected each family's choices. Recently, I noticed one of the babies under my care seemed sleep-deprived and undernourished, leading to her unhappiness. Despite sacrificing my own needs, I spent my last day ensuring she had a peaceful rest by holding her for hours. When I reached out to Sarah the following day to address my concerns, she reacted aggressively and sent me hurtful messages. To make matters worse, I have yet to receive my payment for the services rendered. Despite my commitment and professionalism, I was met with disrespect for being a few minutes late, while her boyfriend's lateness was overlooked. This experience has left me saddened and frustrated. I hope to find a new family to work with who will acknowledge my expertise and value my dedication. I am experiencing two issues with my account on care.com. Firstly, I am unable to update my date of birth which I mistakenly entered incorrectly when signing up. This error is causing an issue with a recent motor vehicle background check I purchased, as the date of birth does not match the information provided. Secondly, I was not aware that purchasing a premium membership included a free background check. Consequently, unknowingly, I bought an additional background check on top of my premium membership. I recently took on a job with a lady, but unfortunately had to leave due to a family emergency after just three days. I informed her immediately and apologized sincerely. Surprisingly, she messaged me, criticizing my actions. I replied to her, expressing my disappointment in her lack of empathy. I am facing multiple issues on the site. 1) I'm unable to purchase the additional background check for the driving check. The error message mentions a problem with processing my credit card. I entered my credit card details in the payment section, even though I don't receive payments through the website. 2) I would like to confirm if there have been any charges for using the site and if there will be auto-renewals or billing in the future. 3) A user attempted to submit a review, but the screen turned pink and froze, preventing the review from going through. 4) How long does it typically take for changes and reviews to be visible on the site? 5) After applying for jobs, the site should indicate that I've already applied when I review the job listing, but it currently doesn't.

With over 25 years of managerial experience, I have great character references. I am certified by the state to assist individuals in their homes, and I have cared for my mother during her battle with Alzheimer's, as well as continuing to support my sister who has cerebral palsy. I have been using Care.com for over a year to find my last two nanny families, which was great. The first time I unsubscribed, I had no issues. However, the second time I unsubscribed, I am still being billed $25 every month. I canceled my subscription after finding my current family, yet I am still getting charged. I have tried to unsubscribe again via the app. I want assurance that I will not be billed until I choose to subscribe again in the future. I also would like a refund for the charges that were not supposed to happen. I take responsibility for the first month but made sure to unsubscribe before the next billing cycle. It seems like it did not work, and I want this issue fixed promptly to continue using the app.

Lately, I keep receiving notifications that my profile is not approved because I signed up as an individual offering child care services.
