I have a credit card limit of $****, My current balance is $**** or so. I have $*** in pending transactions. $*** or so are preauthorization charges for payments that have already posted and will eventually disappear, as ive found out. Anyway, an $**** preauthorization charge was removed recently for a charge that settled days ago. When will my available credit be updated? $**** balance plus $*** pending is under $**** with a limit of $**** yet my available credit is $**. its really annoying. I understand the preauthorization is on the merchants end, and thats fine. They will clear, but I need my available funds to reflect when they do!! My actual balance is roughly $**** again with currently roughly $*** in preauthorization holds still pending for payments that have posted! WELL UNDER MY LIMIT. I have never missed or had a late payment. I have been using my card much more lately, yes. ALL balances on the card have been quickly paid in full, well before the monthly payment is due. Sometimes even paid several times a month as i hate waiting on pending charges to clear and be reflected on my balance, so I just make several payments. With a $**** limit it adds up quickly, and online marchants love to make preauthorization holds then make the charge later, and not clear the preauth, so I make the payment to be able to keep using the card. I NEED MY AVAILABLE BALANCE UPDATED so I can continue using the card. None of the info on my account summary states that I am near my $**** limit so i should not only have $** available. Thus meaning, capital one is holding my available balance.
