Hello, on May ** we checked into Cork City Centre Self Catering Apartments in Cork city for four nights. Our confirmation number was ********** and the pin code was ****. The reservation was made under Peter Wallace. The apartment was in very poor shape needing a lot of repairs. I called Bookings.com to complain and request a refund. After quite a few phone conversations with different agents which was very frustrating because I had to re-explain my dilemma every time. Booking.com requested pictures which I sent from my phone of the apartment to show the poor stare the apartment was in. Finally, after a lot of back and forth where I was at a breaking point I was told that I would get a full refund which I did receive and I thank you for that. Booking.com asked if we wanted to book another accommodation in Cork for May ** and May ** and I said yes. The accommodation they booked for us was Coolcower House in Macroom which was lovely but we had to take a bus which took ** minutes to get there and cost £** for the both of us. To get to the actual town of Macroom from Coolcower House we had to take a taxi which cost £** each way because there was no bus service from where we were. Then we had to pay another £** to take the bus back to Cork so that we could make our way to Cork airport. I contacted Bookings.com and I think the person I spoke with was Danielle, and explained that we had to pay for the bus from Cork to Macroom and then in order to eat we had to take taxis back and forth from Coolcower House to town. I was told to send the receipts for our out of pocket expenses and that Bookings.com would reimburse us. I have had a heck of a time trying to contact Bookings.com to speak with a “live” person but the closest I got was a service where a robot service to save the caller waiting on hold. I never got a call back but I did get three different emails asking if my problem had been resolved. I replied saying it would be better to contact me by email but never heard back. So now I’m hoping you can help me. My husband and I are flying back to Canada on August ** and I’d like to get this resolved. I have all the original receipts which total £***. When Bookings.com booked new accommodation for us we assumed that it would be in Cork City not out in the country where we had to depend on buses and taxis to get into town to eat. If I had known that Macroom was so far out of Cork City I would have asked for accommodation in Cork where we really wanted to be in the first place. To be honest I don’t why we were booked so far out of Cork in the first place. Please reply to me and tell me where I should send these receipts. This has been a nightmare trying to get this resolved. Thank you. Sue and Peter Wallace
