I have booked a hotel in Australia and it said that the last cancellation date is december,**** and won't charge me before this date. However, the hotel suddently charge me in **th June with AUD ****.** and I called the booking .com to ask for help and they helped me to request the hotel to refund the exact amount in AUD. When I checked my bank statement, it returned to me not as said within *-** working days but one month. This cause me to lost money due to the different exchange rate. I just wanna to know if I can refund the exact amount due to the change in exchange rate in HK and AUD? I want to complain is that the refunding procedure takes a month but not *-** days working day which cause my lost to be higher due to changing exchange rate. *I didn't experience this before when I use booking.com to book a hotel and it charge me the whole sum of money before the cancellation date. What should I do to refund the whole amount in HK dollars without the lost due to exchange rate? Please contact me as soon as possible.
