Dear BC Hydro,**To begin with we did call your customer service line and tho' the woman was nice, she provided no useful information other than that it was cold. It was also cold for our neighbours who were here all winter and they hadn't issues like our bill. **We have a problem believing our bill covering the time period from December **th to February **th and the same is likely true of our bill for the same time the previous year.* *Added to this we now have an enormous bill for May which really has us bewildered.**We have a heat pump * a gas furnace, gas stove, gas hot water heater and rarely use our clothes dryer.* We have a large older refrigerator*which no doubt uses more than newer ones and normally it runs for *** days a year.* *We are a two older person household. **We*are away for the month of February with the heat down, appliances*unplugged and no lights on.* The thermostat was set at ** degrees.* A person comes in once a week to check our small (**** sq.ft.) house and leave the mail.* This year (February ****) we cleaned out and completely unplugged our large, older refrigerator as we tho't it must have been the culprit last year.* So no frig, no freezer, no washer*dryer, no stove, no oven, no dishwasher, no small appliances, lights on one hour or less a week for ** days.* We returned March *st so for ** days of this billing period the above conditions in our home prevailed.* *So not only were we away for more than *** of this billing period we are always conservative with hydro and gas.**We'd like an explanation please.**John and Penny Lyle
