American Airlines Customer service:**Hope this letter finds you well. American Airlines has been a staple in my family for years. For many years I remember as a child, vacation trips with my parents between New York, Dominican Republic, San Juan and many others. **Flying American was the high light of our trips and has continued for many years. My wife even signed up for the aviator credit card to accumulate miles on her trips between Orlando and Washington D.C. to visit our daughter and our newly born grand daughter. We travel even more now that we have a grandchild. **When this trip to Seattle was planned, she convinced me to fly American which I did. Let me tell you about my last experience with American. **We booked the trip to Seattle leaving on Wednesday June *th ****. Confirmation FDVMWN. Our flight was delayed several hours. We were placed on another flight instead. Once the flight was about to cancel we were told to go to charlotte continue service to Seattle. We were told that the flight to Seattle is delayed so all the connections from Orlando would make the flight. How trustworthy of a statement. We believed and went to Charlotte. **We ran to the gate in Charlotte only to find out we were lied to and the flight have left.The flight was still there. We were only removed from it for no reason. We continued receiving notifications of updates as if we were booked on the flight. Let’s add to the frustration of being lied to in Orlando instead of giving the opportunity to go home and catch my original flight the next day.** We were placed on a hotel that had roaches crawling on the wall. Pictures are attached to this email. We call the front desk to have situation resolved with no avail. Imagine trying to have a restful sleep wondering when roaches will start to climb in bed. We still had a long day of travel the next day adding the lack of sleep of the night before is not something I was looking into when I booked this trip. **Come the next day, we head to the airport. Upon checking in with gate agent we were moved from our original seats to seats in the back of the aircraft putting us on a later boarding group. As we head down the jet-bridge we were told we had to surrender our suitcases because there was no more room. Of course there is no room* we were originally set to board at earlier group. Was told to remove batteries amongst other items in the suit case. I removed two days of my heart medication to be on the safe side. Bag are stripped from us and was put LAX on the tag when I said our final is SEA. We were told the bags would follow us. Thanks for another lie. Now we are late and no clothes to wear for out event in Seattle. **After arriving in Seattle days later than schedule, we filed a claim for the luggage. Needless to say, our bags were in DFW and was not reaching us anytime soon. Our bags arrived to us on Friday afternoon. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday with the same clothes and spending money for toiletries and immediate necessities added to the expense of this trip. **My wife as and advantage member called the help desk, after one hour on hold the call was dropped. We tried again and the system recognizes her as an advantage member. The only help we got was automated response. What help does a help desk is, if there is no help available. We head to pick up the bags taking the change they wouldn’t be there as we got no help at the help desk. **We have missed the pre event festivities not to mention the events and speech for the hosts along with toast and celebration for the event we were so looking forward to attend. We planned to arrive day early and we ended two days late as we arrived at * pm. American Airlines. You robbed us from the opportunity to have a pleasant memorable moment and now you replace it with the nightmare of my travel in your company. So many things were wrong. You had the chance to fix it and failed to do so. **I won’t have the chance to re live the memories we were schedule to make but instead left a bad memory in our hearts. You have a chance to make it right this time. This is the reason for this letter. I want two round trip tickets for all of this mess you have created. I won’t say I won’t fly with you again. That is not reality and is a threat that will go unheard. Instead Im telling you that I am willing to give you an opportunity to make it right. We can go back to Seattle on a latter day to make new memories as we couldn’t be part of the event because of your mishandling the way you do business. I would appreciate a reply back and my request to be filled. Have you ever had a second chance?
