Dear Amazon:**I would like to inform you that you have greatly diminished the value of my family's Prime membership and made it extremely unlikely we will continue to subscribe. For several years, we have been playing Amazon Prime Video on the * Sony devices listed below. Now in the past month, the app either has disappeared from the menus or disappears while supposedly loading. This is * Sony devices I have had this problem with! Where is the Prime Video app please?**Sony receivers:*STR-DA****ES (* of these)*STR-DA****ES**Sony Blu ray players:*BDP-S****BDP-S*****Sony HDTV:*KDL-**HX*****Evidently, you decided not to support these "older" devices, according to one of your customer service representatives. Sony informs me that this was wholly Amazon's decision. Sony was ready to lend its engineers to support the Amazon app if possible but was told there was no interest in doing so. In the past when Sony has no longer been able to support an app on these devices, they gave notifications through the menus on these devices that apps would no longer function after a certain date. This was not the case with your Prime Video app.**The questions remain: With Sony's offer of engineering support, why was the app dropped? Why was no proper notification given? And what does Amazon have to gain by disenfranchising Sony users who are also Prime subscribers?**Of all the times I have been disappointed by Amazon's choices, this is probably the worst. I went from * functioning devices for Prime Video, the * listed above plus a Playstation *, to just the latter. Ironically, all these "older" devices are much newer than the PS*, making your customer service representative's claim logically unsound. These are not "older" devices.**I plan to bring this matter to the attention of both the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General office. If local media displays any interest, I will be happy to share my complaint with them as well, although streaming video services would likely not prove popular to their own bottom line.**I would like to know what Amazon intends to do to remedy this situation immediately. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to explore other options: filing formal complaints, canceling our Prime membership, and moving to other streaming and shopping options. We would have no other choice, as Amazon has decreased the value of Prime so greatly for our household, making it impossible to watch Prime Video on * of our * TV screens -- places where we still can watch Netflix and Hulu, for but * examples.**Thank you for your time and attention.**Alan Anbari
