I ordered an item WHICH the ad on an Amazon page did NOT clearly state that the electric generator (as was advertized as) was NOT a generator, but a dynamo FOR a generator, for which i would have to buy a motor (a very expensive version of ''batteries not included'' but not noticable when i was on the page, and assumed it was the sort of mini but modern and powerful house*caravan generators. It was not untill it arrived and i wonder where the motor was, realsied there was not one, looked on the amazon page again, and the only obvious indication, if you can call it that, was way down in the comments where someone commented ''it's just the dynamo, you need to buy the engine''! *SO, i go to arrange return. And did not find out till too late this was to have been the next morning when i would have been out doing a days business.*SO, since then have been puzzling how to go about arranging a pickup with NO real info on or from amazon, very much further than ''you need to arrange a pickup'' (which is like asking for directions to a public toilet, and being told ''you need to get to a public toilet!'')*The apparent amazon phone number when i call it, cuts off after just under * seconds of it answering, with a female automated voice fading from silance till cut-off, saying goodness knows what whih it's almost * and a half words which were too quiet anyway.*NONE of the email addresses i found work, they all bounce back. **On top of which, since the just past Saturday **th Sept, i have been unable to access my Amazon account as they have me stuck me in a verification loop (even though i use same phone, same number tethere sd to the same Desktop PC which i ALWAYS make my orders from. And likely always the same * or *G masts, and phone and PC IP addresses via the same phone company. Same pasword etc etc etc.** When i do get the text with the verification link, and tap on the provided link, my phone browser pops up (of course), and i am made aware they think something suspicious is going on, and they said that the IP verification sent from by me, was different to the one i got asked to verify from (of course. I tether the PC to the phone for online connection. SAME ROOM ALWAYS. And after all, isnt this what * step verification is?)*And when i click ''approve''? i just get ''looking for something? We're sorry. The web address you entered *i hadn't entered any address, THEIR link did!* is not a functioning page on our website" !! WHAT?**They suggested in the scant info in a way which 'pushes'' you into making life easier for them NOT to deal with ACTUAL people, that maybe i'd forgotten my password, or to that effect. So i tried re-newing password earlier today (i've around ** texts messages now with this useless verification code which doesn't let me in) and STILL cannot get in.* Thye only further ''help'' was all their same old rubbish help pages, and other non-effective stuff , or irrelevant stuff, which, you guessed it, i HAD TO LOGIN IN FOR!**SO, now i have an item needing picked up, and time is not on my side, to get this useless lump of **.*kg sent back (hopefully without me paying for **kg via courier?? I dunno, I can't find out since i cannot login!*SO, I need to get the item sent back (goodness knows where the label i printed out has ended up since i recieved the useless product) have no way to contact courier (Apparently carrierwas*is Hermes but am having no joy finding how to contact them directly, and when i type in amazon into their site, they don't recognise it.. AAAARGH!) **Also the local Amazon depot in Fife charge a lot for you to phone them i noticed online (i am on free calls*texts, and not premium number calls, as this is not part of my phone package. I only pay for the free calls*texts deal!)*Amazon seem uncontactable, and cannot get into the site anyway!**tracking ID is **** **** ******** (if that is any help?) Further details i'll withold for now for security reasons of course.*Paul
