I recently put a down **% payment a property with Airbnb to hold my spot. The manager*owner of the property declined my inquiry. So I asked when would I be receiving my refund. I never got a response back. I then with through the website and canceled my stay. Which I was told it would take up to ** days for a refund. The amount that needed to be refunded was back into my account the next day. They day after however when I woke up my account was in the negatives because the transaction is back and I don’t know why that is because I never followed through with the property listing. Which has been a super inconvenience because I’m trying to book another property and can’t because Airbnb still has my money . So I’m wondering how do I get my money back.

Called my bank Wells Fargo and had to file a dispute with the bank. Took about * days for payment to return
