Good morning, I wish to report a delay during my travels from Montreal to Toronto, resulting in me missing my connecting flight due to a lengthy customs process and unhelpful staff. Despite my early arrival at the airport, I was unable to board my flight, leading to a 3 to 4-hour wait for the next available one. This has caused me to miss a full day of work and an important appointment. I kindly request compensation for a light snack during the wait as I will face financial losses from missed work and additional parking fees. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely

On January 9th, our flight [redacted] was canceled. Despite trying to reach Air Canada, we received no information about an alternative flight as promised in the email. After contacting CheapOair, they managed to book us on flight AC264 for the following morning, January 10th, with a layover in Toronto instead of our preferred route through Calgary. Unfortunately, the Toronto flight arrived late, causing us to miss our connection. On the way to the advised location after landing in Winnipeg, I had a fall due to being tripped by a pilot (unknown airline), resulting in serious bruising. Air Canada did provide accommodation for the overnight delay caused by the missed connections, but the whole experience was a nightmare. Our final arrival at our destination was more than 24 hours past our original schedule, leading to a delayed rental car pickup and a less-than-ideal start to our vacation.

I've been on hold for weeks, spending hours waiting. Finally got through early this morning to resolve a seat selection issue, just waiting to pay, but the agent put me on hold and never returned. After almost 2 hours on hold again this morning, I was told it's too late to book the seats for that flight. It can only be done 24 hours before the flight at the airport. Who goes to the airport that early before their flight?

I missed my flight despite arriving on time for boarding. I checked in online beforehand and had my electronic boarding pass ready. When I reached the gate at 1:55, the counter was unexpectedly closed, causing me to miss the flight that was even delayed. The Air Canada staff's disrespectful behavior towards me when seeking assistance was disheartening. I was denied the opportunity to obtain their information for filing a complaint. When I requested a staff member's identification, the situation escalated, resulting in the involvement of airport police. Even after waiting for over two hours to speak to a supervisor, the lack of concern shown was disappointing. The treatment received was unacceptable, especially considering we had prepaid expenses and faced financial constraints. Repeated attempts to contact customer service have been futile. Stranded in Panama without resources or assistance, we are in urgent need of a resolution. The poor treatment experienced and lack of support have been distressing, and I seek a swift and satisfactory resolution from Air Canada.

My flight from St. John's, which was flight number [redacted] on February 8th, got canceled. I was rebooked for February 10th on flight number [redacted] with booking reference RN0PL9 going from St. John's to Goose Bay. While checking in my baggage, the ticket agent suggested trying to get me home to Wabush that day due to the delay. He arranged for me to take a direct Provincial Airlines flight, but he couldn't refund my baggage check fee. He provided me with this contact information, so here I am.

I am looking to reserve a direct flight from Van to London on 11/6 and return on 27/6 from London to Calgary, then Calgary back to Van on 29/6. Prior to booking, I need information on the potential refund if I were to cancel one month ahead on 10th May. The reason for possible cancellation is my wife's recent remission from Lymphoma cancer, although she will not be traveling with me. I would have to cancel in the unfortunate event of a relapse. If the refund policy is favorable, I am willing to book now, otherwise, I might have to delay booking until later in May, risking flight availability. At 80, direct flights are preferable to avoid multiple stops and additional time. Appreciate your assistance and awaiting a positive response.

Hello, I traveled from New York to Toronto on flight [redacted], aiming for NL. When we arrived in Toronto, my wife Bonita and I were informed that due to severe weather in St. John’s, flights were suspended. We were unable to leave Toronto until January 22 since all flights to St. John’s were canceled until then. Despite calling six times, I have not received the necessary information for my travel insurance. I urgently require a copy of the itinerary for flight [redacted] that brought us to St. John’s and a letter explaining why we were stranded in Toronto from January 19 to 22. I need this promptly or my insurance may be canceled.

I traveled from New York to Toronto on January 19, [redacted]. We were supposed to fly to St. John's on Flight [redacted] the same evening, but due to a state of emergency caused by severe weather, all flights to St. John's were canceled for the next few days. We were stuck in Toronto until January 22, [redacted], which was the earliest available flight for us. I require a letter from Air Canada confirming the flight cancellations during that period. The letter should mention that my wife, B. Ropson, and I, F. Ropson, were stranded due to the cancellations. I urgently need this letter before my claim with Blue Cross gets canceled. Please send it to fhropson@ yahoo.ca. Thank you.

I traveled from Moncton, Canada to Ahmedabad, India. Unfortunately, my first flight was delayed from Moncton to Toronto, causing me to almost miss my connecting flight to Mumbai. Consequently, my luggage did not make it onto the second flight. Upon arrival in Mumbai, airport authorities informed me that my luggage was delayed and still in Toronto. I filled out a complaint form and was told my bags would arrive at my home yesterday, but they have not yet been delivered. Please provide me with an update on my baggage at your earliest convenience. If further information is required, please contact me through my cell phone: +91 [redacted].

I recently received an email informing me that my flights from Vancouver to Saskatoon on Wednesday, May 13 have been rescheduled to Thursday, May 14. I find it unreasonable to go halfway and then potentially have to cover a hotel stay and an early morning flight. I request a full refund for the YVR-YXE portion of my trip. I do not wish to cancel the return portion on May 11 without an alternative option that suits my schedule. I am unable to reach Air Canada via phone and the link provided in the email is not functional on various devices due to issues with the website. My preference is to cancel both flights and obtain a refund to book with another airline. It's worth noting that Air Canada still displays my original flight from Calgary to Saskatoon, AC8592, as an available option. While I defended the airline to my husband recently, the sudden change to the next day is disappointing.

I booked a flight for my wedding in Vancouver on July 16, [redacted], back in August. Recently, I received an email saying the flight was canceled, which was confusing. After a 2-hour wait on the phone, a representative fixed the issue and changed my seats, ensuring I could make my connection to the wedding. Now, I received another cancelation email, and my Air Canada account confirms the cancelation. I'm unable to call in right now, and this repeat issue is very frustrating and stressful, especially since it's affecting my wedding plans. Unsure if I should rebook or what steps to take next. I regret booking with Air Canada and will avoid using them in the future.

Hello, I am Elena P. and Maria A. D. from the Philippines. Our flight to the United States on March 6, [redacted], involves a 4-hour layover at Haneda Airport, Japan, before transferring to Narita Airport for our connecting flight to Vancouver. We have a concern about transferring between Haneda and Narita without a transit visa. Could you consider rerouting our first flight to go directly from the Philippines to Narita for a smoother journey? Looking forward to your prompt response. Thank you.

I have been trying to recover my expensive laptop since February 11th. Despite repeated attempts, I have received no assistance from Air Canada in retrieving it. The laptop, a white HP Spectre in a grey leather sleeve, is currently at Narita Japan airport under reference #S986. It went missing at gate 41 in terminal 1 while I was awaiting Air Canada flight AC004. I urgently need it back as it contains important work-related data. The customs department at Narita airport can be contacted at +81-[redacted]-33-[redacted]. I am willing to cover any expenses incurred in returning it to me and am even considering legal action if necessary. Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

After spending three hours on the phone with Air Canada call centers, I finally reached a representative at 2:15 AM. I learned that changes were made in November which affected my situation. The representative mentioned that I missed the 24-hour cancellation policy by about 45 minutes when trying to cancel a flight booked on March 1, [redacted], at 18:48 PST. The flight was for my girlfriend, identified as SLG, who could not cancel the flight due to a family medical emergency. Despite my efforts, I was informed that only the taxes could be refunded (~$[redacted]) with her authorization because we missed the deadline. Trying to explain the situation, I called the Air Canada Mexico office, but it was closed, then I called the international number and waited for over an hour, only to be told the limitations on the refund. I am now reaching out for help on behalf of SLG, as the funds are needed to support her family during this challenging time.

My flight was delayed twice, and my son's flight was canceled last minute. The next flight he was on was late, and numerous other problems occurred with Air Canada. None of the six members of my family can access their Aeroplan accounts to use their points. We've faced disappointments after being loyal customers for 45 years, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars with Air Canada. I am seeking recognition, compensation, or else I will take this to the media. Despite being respectful and following the rules, no one at Air Canada seems to care, from the ground floor up. I am not interested in a manager or director reaching out, I want the CEO of operations and community affairs to contact me immediately. We fly with Air Canada every two weeks and have received nothing in return for the issues we've faced. This is the last straw as we cannot access our Aeroplan accounts, and receiving a letter about our points being considered null and void is unacceptable. I expect a phone call and compensation by Friday, March 6th, or I will go to the media on March 8th, International Women's Day. I will not tolerate this treatment.

Hello, I am seeking information on possible discounts for a flight ticket. My stepfather recently passed away after being diagnosed with cancer. I reside in Slovakia, while my mother and stepfather were in Canada. I have been looking at flights from Budapest to Toronto for dates between March 7th and mid-April, with prices starting around [redacted] euros. Considering my limited income, I am inquiring if there is any way to access a discounted fare as I cannot afford it at the current price. This trip is not leisure-related but rather an urgent matter to support my mother during this difficult time. My monthly income in Slovakia is [redacted] euros, with a rent of [redacted] euros. I desperately need to be present to assist my mother with the funeral arrangements and emotional support. Additionally, I would appreciate flexibility in the return date since I am uncertain about the duration of my stay to help my mother. I can depart from either Kosice, Slovakia, where I reside, or Budapest, Hungary, depending on the more economical option available for the tickets. If necessary, I can provide the death certificate as validation. I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance. Thank you for your consideration.

I reserved an Air Canada Vacations Package for a trip to Jamaica from September 29 to October 6, [redacted], with a 9:15 am departure from Toronto to Montego Bay. Unfortunately, I mistakenly booked a flight to Toronto on the 29th in the afternoon instead of the 28th. I tried to rectify this error four days later upon reviewing my email confirmation. Despite my previous experiences modifying flights with a fee and using reward points within a year, I was informed by Air Canada and CIBC Rewards that no changes could be made to my ticket. This oversight means I will miss my connection to my vacation package, including my stay at the Marriott Element Hotel. I am disappointed by this policy, and if a resolution isn't reached, I will avoid booking with Air Canada in the future. It is crucial that this issue is addressed promptly to ensure our vacation plans can proceed as intended. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My booking reference is VDH 62W. I want to cancel this booking due to the global spread of the Coronavirus. According to the New York Times, the virus has reached New York, USA, infecting nearly 89 people with more cases emerging. Considering this situation, I am requesting a full refund even though the booking is typically non-refundable. Due to the current uncertain and escalating situation, many hotels are offering waivers, and I kindly ask your team to consider this for our booking. It's important to note that the city is now on high alert as per the IATA travel advisory, urging travelers to avoid trips to and from New York. I look forward to a positive response from your end.

Hello, I booked my tickets for a round trip from Delhi to Toronto and back. I have finished one leg of the journey and now I am unable to locate my return tickets to Delhi. The passenger is Sadhana Mongia, an adult. The PNR is U2L538 and the e-ticket number is [redacted][redacted]. After contacting Lufthansa and Swiss, I was advised to reach out to Air Canada for assistance, as there may have been changes to the flight schedule or cancellations.
