To cancel your AT&T account you will need to call into support. But before, you should find another provider and check to see if your number is portable, meaning you can bring the phone number to another company.

Anna Polehla****-***-******On February ** I called to cancel the above cell account. Talked to Jules. He said he needed a passcode to get into my account to cancel. I told him I didn’t have one, never set up an account on line. Had this service for decades. He asked for permission to set up temporary passcode to get into my account. I said “yes”. Was told the account would be canceled the next day. Now on ** March I received a bill for another month of service. Again called customer service and was told she needed my passcode, again I said I didn’t have one. Told her what happened month ago. She told me I had to go to att store to get a passcode and then call back. I was getting very discouraged with this business practice. I asked to speak to supervisor. After waiting on hold she said the person couldn’t talk to me. At the beginning of this process I went to att store to cancel account, but was told they couldn’t do that in the store anymore and I had to call customer service. Just so you know, I am an ** year old stroke patient who no longer drives. Just going to the att store is not an easy endeavor. It is truly amazing how difficult it is to cancel this Insignificant to you account. To me this money helps pay for my medications. I would really appreciate it if someone could cancel this account and adjust the bill to end on * March as I I initially requested.
