Had AT&T internet service (DSL) for a few years now near Lenoir, NC and was promised **Mbps stable at first, but the line was NOT stable and the connection dropped or was noisy constantly. Instead of doing anything about it, AT&T simply lowered our service to *Mbps which is where it now stands. What I don't understand is you can't keep service up on your lines well enough to even offer what was promised, not to mention I live along a fairly busy highway and can still only manage *Mbps DSL. It's infuriating, as I can't really do anything with a *Mbps connection, any task takes ages, and a single person using the internet basically causes it to cut out.To top it all off, AT&T is the ONLY **** service provider in the area, which gives them the "right" to be lazy I suppose, cause who are all of these "valued customers" gonna go to anyway? Fix your stuff AT&T.
