During a visit by a door to door sales representative named Daniel at my home at **** Purple Plum Ln Oviedo Fl ***** I was told that fiber was now available to the neighborhood. I signed up for the service and filled the application to begin receiving *** megabits per second fiber internet. When the technician arrived he installed the router and informed me that I would have ** megabits per second. I told the technician that I had signed up for fiber and did not want to downgrade my internet to ** megabits per second. He then informed me that fiber would not be available in my neighborhood for some time. He apologized that I had been misinformed and suggested that I call AT&T and speak about my issue. I called that very same day and spoke to a customer representative. I informed them about what happened and we came to the agreement that my account would be cancelled and that I would not be charged since I called on the same day of installation. She apologized once again that I had been misled by a misinformed salesman. I asked her then to inform me when fiber would be available because I was still interested. A few weeks after this I began receiving e-mails stating that I owed close to *** dollars to AT&T. I called again today ********** and spoke to customer service representative named Regina, I explained my case to her and how I wished to dispute the charges and was promptly hung-up on.
