I am an American living in Guadalajara Mexico. On November **, ****, I went with a Spanish speaking friend to the AT&T center to buy service for my Moto G* Android cell phone. They had a special promotion: Prepay for ** months of service and AT&T will give you ** months more for free. So, my contract is for ** months. They gave me a temporary number of ** **** **** and said it would change to my actual number of ** **** **** in a few days. I was able to make outgoing calls and receive incoming calls on ** **** **** and have enjoyed the ability to call my family in the US from my cell.*But on October *st, ****, my service changed. I cannot make outgoing calls but I still can receive incoming calls on ** **** ****. When I call out, I get message saying I need to recharge the service (pay for more time). There should still be ** months more of service. On October *th, we went to the AT&T center where I bought the contract. The lady there was nice. She verified the contract and agreed that I should still have full service but she saw that my account was now monthly. After an hour of trying to fix the problem, she explained that she was sorry, but there was nothing she could do. She asked us to call the AT&T support center for Mexico. They also could not help.
GetHuman-alwilgus did not yet indicate what AT&T Wireless should do to make this right.
