If you wish to prevent a specific user from sending you an email, you can block the user using the Block Sender option. This will prevent the specified address from sending email messages to your Yahoo Mail account. Here are the steps to block a person from emailing your Yahoo account.

1. Sign In to Your Yahoo Account

You'll need to sign in to your Yahoo Mail account to block someone from emailing you. If you don't remember the details of your account (username and password), you can reset it by going to the Reset Password link on the login page. Then go to the Security and Privacy tab.

2. Click Mail

You should select Mail at the top of the screen. In the inbox, if you don't see the email you want to block, click on Search and enter the email address. Then select the email from the search results. For example, if you want to block a person named Bob Smith from sending you emails, open an email from that specific address. You can do this by clicking on the inbox icon at the top of your Yahoo Mail Inbox and selecting View All.

3. Click Block

Block a sender by clicking Block above the message or selecting More Actions. When you click this option, you will see a confirmation message that asks if you want to block the address. Select Block if you do not wish to receive messages from this sender. You can block multiple addresses by choosing Settings, Mail and Accounts and selecting your Yahoo account. Once there, click Blocked Addresses under Blocked Contacts on the left-hand side of the screen. You will then be able to block addresses.
