How to Order a Genie+ Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lane with Walt Disney World?

With almost a quarter of a million guests each day at Walt Disney World, lines at most of the rides are inevitable, especially the more popular ones. Genie + Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lanes can come in handy, but how do you order them with Walt Disney World? Adding Genie + Lightning Lanes to Your Tickets

There are a couple of options for adding Genie + to your tickets at Walt Disney World. You can add it when you initially purchase your tickets, or you can add it each day. Genie + costs $15 per day, per person, so make sure you budget enough for each member of your group. To add Genie + follow these steps:

1. When you purchase your tickets, you will be given the option to add Genie + to each day at checkout. If you are going to the park during peak season, this may be the best option to ensure you don't have long wait times.
2. You can also purchase the Genie + option each day of your visit through the mobile app. If you want to save money, you can use this option and plan your park days to visit rides with shorter wait times on the days you don't have Genie +.
3. Open the app on your mobile phone.
4. Click "Genie +" to add this to your day at the park.
5. At 7 a.m., you can start making your Genie + Lightning Lane selections on the rides you want to experience. Wait times at these rides average approximately 5 minutes.

Individual Lightning Lanes

Note, Genie + allows you to add "Lighting Lane" options during the day to experience as many rides as possible, but it does not cover all the rides. That is where Individual Lighting Lanes come in handy. To add Individual Lanes to your Disney day, follow the steps below:

1. For guests staying at a Disney resort, purchases of Individual Lightning Lanes can be made as early as 7 a.m. using the mobile app. For those not staying at the park, Individual Lightning Lane passes are available when the park opens.
2. Open the app and search for Individual Lightning Lane experiences.
3. Scroll through the list and make up to two selections per day.
4. Check the prices for each pass because the price per experience can vary based on the ride's popularity and capacity.
5. Complete your purchase of your Individual Lightning Lane passes which includes your reserved time to enjoy the ride.
   
6. At the reservation time, show up and scan your mobile app or wristband to enter the Lightning Lane.
