If you live in Florida and were recently fired or lost your job due to other circumstances filing for unemployment benefits you can apply for unemployment benefits. If you apply you only have the option of applying online for unemployment at the unemployment compensation in Florida. You will be asked to provide your social security number, drivers license or state number, and your employment information from the past six months. Once your documents have been verified and a decision has been made approving your unemployment claim you will be eligible to check these benefits.
How to Check Your Unemployment Benefits

Once your unemployment claim with the unemployment compensation in Florida has been approved it will take two to four weeks for your first payment to come. When you first file the first week is considered a waiting week and no benefits are paid out.
