No, you do not need to print your train tickets when booking with The Trainline. The convenience of mobile tickets allows you to access your ticket directly on your mobile device. Simply download The Trainline app, select the mobile ticket option when making your booking, and the ticket will be stored within the app. When it's time to travel, present your mobile ticket on your device to the ticket inspector, who will scan the barcode or QR code to validate it. If you prefer a physical copy, you can print your ticket at a ticket machine available at the station.
