You don't support my bank so how would I connect my bank account

We understand the need for broad support for various banks. Plaid currently supports a significant number of banks in various countries. However, it's possible that your specific bank might not be supported yet. While you can't directly connect an unsupported bank to Plaid, we're constantly expanding our list of supported banks based on user feedback. Until your bank becomes supported, you'll be unable to connect your bank account via Plaid. In such situations, it's recommended to reach out to your app or service to explore alternative ways to connect your bank account.

I am trying to arrange for plaid to pay my bills online, but the web site will not accept my bank information. Please advise

Plaid primarily provides the infrastructure for connecting with your bank account securely. It helps in gathering account and transactional data; however, it doesn't directly handle bill payments through its system. The bill payment feature fully depends on the third-party application or platform you're using that has integrated Plaid. It's recommended to check your banking details for any errors and try again. If the issue persists, you might want to reach out to the customer support of the application you're using for assistance.

I am trying to set up a direct deposit to my financial institution but plaid says it cannot find my bank

Plaid supports thousands of financial institutions across the U.S. and Canada. If Plaid cannot find your bank, it could be due to a few reasons. Your bank may not be one of Plaid's integrated partners. While rare, it's also possible that there may be a temporary issue with your bank's connection to the Plaid system. We recommend trying again after a while. However, if the issue persists, unfortunately there may be limitations in establishing that connection. In this case, you may need to choose another method to set up your direct deposit.

plaid is saying wrong username even though i gave the right one

Usually, Plaid relies on bank authentication and doesn't typically handle direct user login details such as usernames. If you're experiencing this issue, it's likely that there's a discrepancy in the information linked with your banking institution. Make sure you're using the exact login credentials that your bank recognizes. If the issue persists, it may stem from your financial institution's server problems or updates. This is commonly resolved within a few days. Be patient and try again later. If necessary, you may need to verify your login details with your bank.

I'm trying to set up my Robin Hood account. Plaid has two of my checking accounts checked and I only want Robin Hood to have access to one. How do I get the other account unchecked?

To ensure Robinhood only has access to one checking account, you would need to select only the required bank account when you link your bank with Plaid. Plaid does not provide the functionality to unlink an individual account after multiple accounts under the same bank have been linked. If Plaid has already connected more than one account, you would need to remove the bank from Robinhood and re-add it using Plaid, this time selecting only the one account that you want Robinhood to have access to.
