The IRS, everyone knows that name and has a different opinion on federal income taxes in general. However, most states also have their own income tax and Oregon is one of them. The Official Department of Revenue website for Oregon shares similarities with the IRS website. Both have areas for forms needed to fill out income tax, e-file taxes and check the status of your refund. This guide will show you how to check the status of your Oregon State refund.
Oregon manages the income tax of both individual taxpayers and businesses, making the needed information slightly different. Both will require the exact refund amount on your respective state tax form, but personal taxpayers need to provide their filing status as well as their tax ID number: SSN or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Businesses need to provide their Federal Employer Identification Number.
Please note that the Oregon Department of Revenue updates the Where's My Refund section once a day.
The first method in checking the status of your refund is to use the Where's My Refund tool on the Department of Revenue's website. You can find it under the Revenue Online Tab near the top of the page. Enter the required information about your Oregon State Refund and click next. You may be asked for more information, but you can access the status once you can click the Submit button.
Another way to check the status is to reach out to the Department of Revenue's Customer Service Representatives here. They may verify your identity first before providing your refund status. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please be advised that the phones lines close 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursdays and on holidays.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
