Yes, it's advised that you contact your energy supplier when you install solar panels. Let OVO Energy know so they can ensure that your account reflects the use of renewable energy. If you have a Feed-In Tariff (FIT) with another supplier, you should also let them know about the changes. However, OVO does not handle the FIT as of February 2019. They will continue to support your solar panels by supplying any extra electricity you may need and purchasing any excess energy you generate, if you are part of their SEG tariff.
