To remove an old red Jell-O stain from a carpet, start by scraping off as much of the dried Jell-O as you can with a plastic scraper. Then, blot the stain with a clean, wet cloth to moisten it. Apply a mix of one tablespoon dish soap, one tablespoon white vinegar, and two cups of warm water. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. After that, blot the area with a clean, dry cloth to lift away the stain. You might have to repeat this process a few times to entirely remove the stain. Remember not to rub or scrub as this can push the stain further into the carpet fibers.
