What is the dress code for dining?

At Holland America Cruise Line, we pride ourselves in offering a range of dining experiences to cater to every guest's preferences. Our dress code for dining is smart-casual during the day, allowing you to feel comfortable while enjoying your meals. However, in the evenings, we ask guests to adhere to a more formal dress code called "Gala Nights." On these special occasions, we encourage elegant attire, such as suits, dresses, or cocktail dresses, giving you the opportunity to showcase your style. For other evenings, resort casual is the norm, meaning slacks, casual dresses, or skirts paired with blouses or sweaters for women, and collared shirts with slacks or khakis for men. We believe that dressing appropriately adds to the enjoyable and sophisticated atmosphere on board.
