Can I work part-time and still receive unemployment benefits?

Asked a year ago
Yes, you may work part-time and still be eligible to receive unemployment benefits in Georgia. The amount you earn from part-time work will be deducted from your benefits on a dollar-for-dollar basis. If your earnings exceed your weekly benefit amount, you will not be eligible for benefits for that week. However, if your earnings are less than your weekly benefit amount, you may still be eligible for partial benefits. It is important to report all wages earned each week when certifying for benefits. Additionally, you must meet all other eligibility requirements, such as actively seeking full-time work and being able and available to accept suitable job offers. Failure to accurately report earnings or meet eligibility criteria may result in a loss of benefits.
