Is It Possible to Merge Two Gap Accounts?

Gap has long been one of the go-to places for stylish, affordable clothing. With their online shopping platform, Gap has won over the hearts of many fashionistas who appreciate the convenience and variety that Gap offers. However, there may come a time when you need to merge two Gap accounts. Maybe you created a new account by accident or want to consolidate your shopping into one central location. Whatever the reason, you need to know about merging Gap accounts.

Can You Merge Two Gap Accounts?

Unfortunately, there is no official way to merge two Gap accounts. Gap only allows one account per email address, so if you have two Gap accounts, they must be associated with two different email addresses. You cannot merge these accounts or combine them in any way. You can contact Gap customer support to see if they can manually merge your accounts, but this is not guaranteed and will likely be a long and difficult process.

What You Can Do Instead

If you need to consolidate your Gap shopping, the best thing to do is transfer your items from one account to the other. Start by logging into the account that has the items you want to transfer. Add all the items you wish to transfer to your shopping bag, and then proceed to checkout. At the checkout page, enter the email address and password associated with the account to which you want to transfer the items. Once you have logged into the second account, all items in your shopping bag will be transferred.

Keep in mind that you can only transfer items that are currently in your shopping bag. If you have items in your wishlist or saved for later, you will need to add them to your shopping bag and then follow the steps above to transfer them to the other account.

Transfer Your Balance To Another Account

If you have a Gap Credit Card, you may be able to transfer your balance to another account. To do this, log into your Gap Credit Card account and click on the "Account Services" tab. Click on the "Transfer Balance" link and follow the instructions. You will need to have the account number and routing number for the account you're transferring the balance. Additionally, there is usually a fee associated with balance transfers, so be sure to check the terms and conditions of your Gap Credit Card before proceeding.

Delete One Account

If you don't need to keep both accounts for any reason, you may want to just delete one of them. Deleting an account is a permanent action, so be sure you no longer need the account before taking this step. If you're sure, log into the account you want to delete and click on the "My Account" tab. From there, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Delete My Account" link. You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete your account; once you do, they will permanently delete your account. You can contact Gap customer support for assistance if you have any issues.
