Xfinity offers several services, including TV and internet. If you're having service issues with your internet connection or the TV doesn't work, read this article for a step-by-step guide on resolving the issue. If both Xfinity TV and the internet are out, check for a service outage in your area first. To do this, follow the steps below.
Go to xfinity.com and tap sign in. Then, use your email address, username, or mobile phone to log in.
Check the banner on the top of the page for any service outages in your area.
If there's no outage, a pop-up that says, "Everything looks good" should appear. When it's red, this means Xfinity is aware of the problem and is currently working on it. Green means there are no outages, but if you still don't have internet or TV, consider rebooting your devices by clicking Restart Modem. Follow the on-screen instructions on how to restart your modem.
Another way to check for service outages is to use the Xfinity Outage Map. To do this, follow the next step below.

If you're still having problems, check the physical connection of your devices. Unplug them and plug them back in. Make sure the cable connections are secure. When you have the TV connected to the DVD player or TV Box, ensure you're on the right input or channel. Also, unplug the TV box from the outlet, wait for 15 seconds, and plug it back in. GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
