Canceling Online

Go to the Charlotte Observer website and then follow these steps:

  1. Scroll to the bottom and choose "Customer Service"
  2. Under "How We Can Help" choose "Subscriptions or Billing"
  3. Click "Next"
  4. Choose "Cancel My Subscription"
  5. Then choose if you wish to cancel your print or digital subscriptions or both
  6. Choose "Next"
  7. Then click on the "this link" to open up a new tab to cancel your subscription
  8. When the new tab opens, you will be given options that include:
  • Changing your subscription to fit your lifestyle
  • Changing your subscription to fit your budget
  • Look at the content you wish to receive
  • If you are moving and how to change to just digital if you want to
  • Where there delivery issues that cause you to want to cancel
  • Click the reason you wish to cancel and fill out the form that opens. In the form, you will be asked to add your account number. If you don't remember your account number, you can look it up on this form by providing your last name, street address, phone number and email address.
  • When you have navigated to your account, follow the prompts to cancel your subscription.
  • From the "Customer Service" link, you can also go directly to "Manage My Account" and follow the prompts to cancel your subscription. When you choose this option, you will enter your email address and password to open your account. From there, you will cancel your subscription.

    Canceling From Your Phone or Tablet

    You can also cancel your subscription on your cellphone or tablet. When you open your "Subscriptions" tab on your iPhone or Android, scroll to Charlotte Observer and tap on "Cancel Subscription." Then follow the prompts to complete the action.

    Canceling Via PayPal
