Hello, this morning. I encountered a significant issue recently and I'm seeking guidance on potentially recovering my funds. I came across a car on Craigslist that piqued my interest. The seller insisted on payment via eBay since the vehicle was located in another state. I followed their instructions, buying a $[redacted] eBay gift card. Subsequently, they requested more money, citing insurance needs. Sensing something was amiss, I investigated and discovered this to be a common scam to defraud individuals. Upon checking, the gift card was depleted. My spouse and I were disturbed by this scam and I'm uncertain of any recourse available to me. I have documentation of the text messages, emails purportedly from eBay, and the original receipts and gift card used in this deceitful scheme. I am hopeful there may be a solution to this predicament and would greatly appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter.

I responded to a Craigslist ad for a vehicle and communicated with the seller who claimed to be out of state. They suggested using eBay to ship the vehicle and asked me to purchase a $[redacted] eBay gift card for verification purposes. I followed their instructions, retaining all receipts and the gift card details. Subsequently, I received what appeared to be an official email from eBay regarding the transaction. However, they requested an additional payment for insurance, which raised suspicions. Research online revealed similar deceptive practices, leaving me and my spouse upset. Checking the gift card balance showed it had been emptied. I possess evidence of all emails, texts, and the initial transaction. It is distressing to have been a victim of this scam, especially since we needed the vehicle for work purposes. I seek assistance in recovering the funds. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I purchased a Comfort Products Granton Executive Chair with Adjustable Lumbar Support- Brown from sarafankit2009 on May 22. They notified me on May 25 about a technical glitch that prevented them from fulfilling my order at the listed price, promising a refund soon. Despite requesting an immediate refund, I have not received it after waiting for two hours.
I am frustrated because they have delayed my refund for three days already, and with a weekend approaching, it will be extended. I find their explanation of a technical glitch suspicious given the timing of their announcement and lack of prompt response to my refund request.
I urge sarafankit2009 to honor their obligation to deliver the product by the 1st of June. As both a buyer and seller on eBay, I would prioritize refunding the customer in a similar situation. I hope my complaint is addressed promptly to ensure timely delivery of my product.
Sincerely, L. Naditch

I am experiencing an issue where I am being informed that I ordered two items on eBay, which I attempted to purchase but was unsuccessful. During the ordering process, I selected Canada as my country, but the system switched it to the USA automatically when I entered my non-existent zip code. Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to complete the purchase as I couldn't input my address. Now, I am being notified that I didn't make the payment for these items, even though I didn't finalize the transaction due to the address issue. Due to my hearing impairment, I reached out to eBay via email, but they advised using an "IP-Relay service" which is unfamiliar to me. The items in question are a SanDisk USB Flash Drive and Fender Trim for a CADILLAC SEDAN DEVILLE. I have previously made successful purchases on eBay using a credit card. I may have unintentionally made an error during this process due to my lack of familiarity with it. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you, PFG.

Hello,
I hope you're well. I recently encountered an issue with a buyer who purchased an item from me with the reference number [redacted]92 on April 14th. Despite multiple attempts to receive payment and understanding their family situation which led them abroad, promising payment upon their return in April, then later in June, I have not seen any progress.
It's disheartening to navigate this situation with patience and understanding, given that over six weeks have passed without payment. Additionally, having already been charged by eBay for an item I have yet to receive payment for only adds to the frustration. Despite my hesitation to escalate this by opening a case, communication has been challenging.
At this point, it seems too late to open a case, and the constant effort to chase payment is becoming exhausting. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

None of the methods suggested by an eBay representative have resolved the issue of requesting total from the seller. I have followed instructions to clear my cart, clear the cache on my laptop, PC, and phone.
I am uncertain about the recommendation to use "PAY NOW" since that option does not appear for me. If they meant "BUY NOW," I have attempted that on individual items, but there isn't an option to "commit to buy" or "request total"; it goes directly to "choose method of payment and confirm payment."
My purchase history is empty, making it challenging for me to proceed with my first eBay purchase. I am frustrated as items I am interested in are being purchased by other clients, and when I contact the seller, they assure me that all settings, including "request total from seller," are correct. The seller is puzzled as combined shipping has worked for other buyers without issue.
Sending this message with my PC was problematic so I have resorted to using my phone. Your assistance is appreciated.

I recently started using eBay and had a smooth transaction purchasing a piece of jewelry. I placed a bid on another jewelry piece and need guidance on the payment process. However, I encountered interference on my account and suspect a privacy breach. This is concerning as privacy laws are crucial. I am seeking an explanation via email or text and would appreciate a call from a supervisor regarding an incident that happened on 5/27 at 5:40 pm. The intrusion into my account and private information is unsettling, and I expect eBay to address this promptly. Please improve security measures for customer protection. I am also unsure if I am still the highest bidder on the bracelet. As a new bidder, I would like assistance on how to proceed with this purchase. Kindly contact me at [redacted].

Hello,
I am reaching out regarding an issue with a transaction that I tried to address using your online platform. Unfortunately, the listing has been removed, and I am unable to provide additional supporting images. I purchased an item through PayPal, but the store unexpectedly closed, and I never received the item. It is perplexing as I received other items from the same store without any issues. Despite multiple attempts, the store owner seems unable to grasp the situation. I have attached a photo of the item and the item number for reference. My primary goal is to receive the item I paid for, and if not possible, I will need to request a refund through eBay. Please reply with guidance on how to proceed. I am ready to provide any additional PayPal documentation if necessary.
Thank you.

I would like to return an item, an off-white straw hat priced at $98, as it looks different from the seller's advertised eBay photo which depicted a nice and white straw hat. I needed a white hat for an all-white event and chose this seller specifically for that reason. I hope to return the hat without incurring a restocking fee, as mentioned in the seller's return response message. I will reply to the seller today, Tuesday the 29th, with photos of the purchase and receipt of the product. My main concern is whether I should be required to pay a restocking fee.

I received an email from my buyer, casto-adria (3), concerning a problem with DHL charging $[redacted].00 for import charges and customs on an order. The buyer mentioned that the amount is excessive compared to the usual $50.00 they pay for such taxes locally. They noted that these charges were supposed to be included in the original payment, leading to confusion. Adriana Castor is requesting for the store to contact DHL to investigate and resolve the issue promptly. The order in question is for the Beautiful Colorful Fish Plate by Lou Rota, with a payment of $33.75 via PayPal on May 23, [redacted], at 16:52 PDT. The item ID is [redacted]12, and the transaction ID is [redacted][redacted].

I opened a resolution case due to the seller's unresponsiveness regarding the defective item. After sending pictures, the seller requested that I pay for return shipping in exchange for a new item. Although given until May 29 to provide tracking information, eBay closed the case prematurely. I encountered issues printing a label but plan to utilize the USPS website. My concern lies in potential expenses if I purchase postage that goes unused. I kindly request for the case to be reopened promptly to align with the original dates specified by eBay for submitting tracking info. This way, I can proceed with providing the necessary details without incurring unnecessary costs.

I have sold item[redacted]35 on eBay, but the listing has not been removed. I initially listed one valve but changed it to 18 valves, which have now been sold. I have forwarded the items to Cyprus. The ad clearly indicated 18 tubes were for sale and they have all been sold. However, when I tried to adjust the original listing from 1 tube to 18, it did not allow me. I received notifications from eBay and PayPal, and a customer contacted me through the platform asking for more. I canceled the first listing for 1 tube and created a new one for 18 tubes, which Sigmadane purchased. eBay mentions there will be a fee for canceling and relisting, but they have not specified the amount.

I purchased a leather jacket on May 19, [redacted] for $86.49 from Poshmark via Ebay. I never received a tracking number for my order. USPS delivered the package and left it in front of my apartment door, but it was stolen. I learned about the theft from a friend of a neighbor who mentioned seeing an unattended package at my door. I contacted my credit card company to cancel the payment and was advised to reach out to the seller. I contacted the seller four days ago but have not received a response. USPS informed me that only Ebay can assist with this issue. When I tried to log in to Ebay, I realized the email was registered as [redacted] instead of [redacted] I am unsure of what steps to take next.

Hello,
Two months ago, I was scammed by a buyer on eBay. He claimed not to receive the Star Wars ULTRA RARE promo poster, Return of the Jedi #[redacted]78, that he purchased from me. As a result, he received a refund and I lost not only the money but also the item itself along with the fees I had to pay to eBay.
I have identified the buyer as Matt Shapiro, known for deceitful behavior within the Star Wars collectors' community. He operates under multiple identities on eBay, including "mrs.miniver" for his store, "leonalily" for fraudulent transactions, and "1i10101li0ili10li0ili10-10....byte-me". He also uses the alias Emiko Seale, possibly his partner, to maintain his main eBay ID's legitimacy while engaging in illicit activities.
I have engaged a private investigator to monitor him in his town due to his questionable practices. I urge eBay to address this issue promptly and contact me directly to resolve the matter. It's essential that eBay upholds integrity and adheres to regulations by holding individuals like Matt Shapiro accountable for their actions.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Baudime Jam

I recently purchased a laptop on eBay listed as brand new. The price was only $22, so I assumed it was underpriced. After completing the purchase and waking up the next day, I saw that the listing had been removed from the app. I am unsure about the shipping status or if I will receive a refund. The item number is unavailable since the listing was removed. Despite paying through PayPal and seeing the transaction in my account, I cannot access tracking details. I have attempted to contact the seller via email, but there has been no response. The PayPal reference number is 4HP33736G[redacted]T if that is of any help. It would be appreciated if someone could check my purchase history and assist me in determining whether the item will be shipped.

I was a victim of fraud on March 18th when I saw a Nissan pickup truck for sale on Craigslist for $[redacted]. I called the phone number provided and the person who answered directed me to contact their aunt who supposedly owned the vehicle. The entire transaction was to be done through eBay. They sent me an email with a transaction order instructing me to buy 3 eBay gift cards worth $[redacted] each. I did as they instructed, but I have not received the truck. I reached out to eBay and they provided me with emails to file a report and instructed me to forward all the emails I received from the seller. However, I am not sure how to do this as I am not familiar with computers. If you can assist me in retrieving my money, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a customer (jlizjolizar1) who bought a laptop, item [redacted]76 on 5/18/18. He recently contacted me claiming there is an issue with the sound and that the laptop is abroad, requesting a partial refund. I informed him that without the laptop in my possession, I cannot issue a refund. Since the laptop was shipped in pristine condition and double-boxed, I believe this may be an attempt at fraud.
Thank you,

I want to ensure the process of buying the car from eBay is clear. The vehicle is located at the eBay warehouse in Nebraska headquarters, sealed in a container and ready for shipping. Listing the price low at $2,[redacted] for a quick sale, the car belonged to my son, and I have decided to sell it due to the memories associated with it. The car has a clear title with no liens or loans, and all documents, including the title and bill of sale with my signature, will be included. It will take 1-2 days for the car to reach your address.
The transaction will be conducted via eBay Motors to ensure mutual protection, and a 5-day inspection period is provided. You have the opportunity to inspect, test, and drive the car before making a final decision. If the vehicle does not match the description, you can return it at my expense for a full refund. eBay will securely hold the funds until you have the car and paperwork. Once you confirm acceptance, the funds will be released to me. This process allows you to inspect the vehicle before making a commitment.
To initiate the transaction with eBay, please respond with your full name, shipping address, phone number, and email address. eBay will then contact you with further instructions. Thank you.

I have a question about a current customer I'm dealing with who seems to have buyer's remorse about the items purchased. My listing stated "no returns/refunds." Despite sending all listed items, I included extras valued at $[redacted] and covered the $60 shipping. Unsure if I can block this customer from messaging, as he repeatedly complains about various things within a week. He was aware that the items were used, and while they work, he dislikes some flavors received. Dealing with his constant complaints is stressful as he continues to message incessantly. Grateful for any advice on how to handle this situation. Thank you.
