I purchased a bedding set for 19 pounds, but unfortunately received a damaged item. I reached out to the seller via email and explained my situation as a person with disabilities, offering to either accept a 50% refund or requested a courier service due to being housebound. The seller only offered me a refund of 5 pounds, which I found unacceptable. I followed the return process by printing the label, packaging the item, but no courier came as promised. I contacted eBay, and after a week, the seller did not respond within the given timeframe of 5 days. Surprisingly, my case was closed without a refund being issued. In my recent conversation with eBay, I encountered a language barrier with the overseas call center representative who did not understand that sellers are legally bound to accommodate customers with disabilities. It appears eBay treated my situation as a simple change of mind rather than recognizing the protections under the Disability Discrimination Act. This has left me out of pocket by 19 pounds.

I ordered an iPad 6 in January for my husband's birthday in February. The package remained unopened until 16 February. Unfortunately, my husband struggled to enter his email address as the keyboard was defective, making it difficult to use some letters and numbers. Upon seeking help from my son, we realized the issue persisted, and I promptly initiated a return and informed the seller. Despite my efforts, I did not receive any response after sending multiple messages regarding the problem. To make matters worse, after attempting to track the order, I received an email on 23 Feb stating that the return was closed, leaving me frustrated with the lack of communication from the seller. Feeling helpless, I turned to PayPal on 24 Feb to request a refund due to the unresolved issue with the eBay seller.

I recently purchased 3 items on eBay for collection at Argos in Berryden Retail Park, Aberdeen. Unfortunately, I discovered that Argos moved to a new location within the same park, but they did not arrange for eBay collection items to be transferred. Consequently, all items were returned to the senders without notifying me. I had to pay additional postage to have one of the items resent after a buyer reached out to inquire about the undelivered item. I requested for it to be sent to the same address, which may lead to another return. I now have items worth over £40, including postage, that have not been delivered. It is unfair for the sellers to bear this loss. Despite my attempts, Argos claims no responsibility and directs me to eBay.

I purchased an UMIDIGI X phone in December [redacted], and within 2 months, it crashed. After attempting a factory reset, the phone became unresponsive with dead buttons. Though the charging light comes on when plugged into the mains, the phone remains inactive. The device is in pristine condition without any marks or scratches, and it has never been dropped.
I reached out to UMIDIGI via email, providing photos and a video of the phone as requested. However, it has been over a month, and I feel like I am being given the runaround. The lack of customer service and urgency to resolve the issue has left me disappointed, making me hesitant about receiving a replacement. I am now looking to return the phone and receive a full refund, especially since I have been without a phone for nearly 2 months due to this malfunction. I hope for a prompt response to address this matter and bring it to a resolution.
Thank you,
Mr. Paul M.

I am disappointed with the bed I received as it does not match the item description or photos. The mattress is not memory foam as advertised and the color of the bed and drawers are different as well. Despite my concerns, the seller is only offering a £15 refund or an upgrade for the memory foam mattress, which should have been included initially. I feel deceived by this purchase and have not received a response from the seller for about a week now. I am using the bed out of necessity, but I am dissatisfied with the quality and the significant discrepancies from what was promised. The seller, IIJInteriors, listed item #[redacted]14 as a Grey Divan Bed with Memory Foam Mattress & Headboard in various sizes, and I paid £[redacted] for an item that does not match the description or photos.

During this global pandemic, many elderly friends and family members are struggling to shop for essentials. I have noticed that some eBay sellers are taking advantage of the situation by selling toilet rolls and hand sanitizer at exorbitant prices. For instance, I came across an auction this morning selling 9 toilet rolls and 1 hand sanitizer for £46,[redacted], which is unacceptable given the current circumstances.
This kind of price gouging is unjust, especially when supplies are already limited. eBay should intervene to prevent such practices. It is unfair that while more listings for essential items appear every minute, vulnerable individuals are left without access to these necessities due to sellers seeking to profit off the situation.
I urge for immediate action to address this issue and ensure fairness for all.

I came across a listing for an Xbox One X console and made an offer which the seller accepted. After I paid for the item, the seller mentioned an issue with PayPal and requested me to send the money to a different PayPal account after supposedly issuing a refund. Screenshots were provided as proof of the refund and the new payment request. I can provide all the messages exchanged between the seller and me. Despite the item being refunded, the seller has gone silent after I tried to reach out for confirmation. The seller initially had good ratings but upon rechecking, I found two negative reviews mentioning similar incidents. I'm seeking advice on how to possibly recover my money from this transaction. I have evidence of the refund and the payment made to the specified email address.

I have multiple cases registered, and I received an email today informing me that the cases are being closed due to inactivity over the past 21 days. Just yesterday, I was corresponding with one of your representatives via email, expressing my non-receipt of items and requesting the cases to remain open.
Recent communications between the seller and me on Sunday, March 15, [redacted], through the resolution center should have been noted if anyone had reviewed the cases. The tracking information on your website shows the items with Royal Mail UK, but according to the Royal Mail site this morning, the items are still in transit and have not left China.
Despite the challenging circumstances of the current pandemic, I have been understanding towards the suppliers. However, it feels unjust that despite my efforts, the cases were closed without consultation. I am displeased that, without my input, one of my inquiries led to a refund being issued. I request equal treatment for all undelivered items in such cases.

Yesterday, on 19/03, I received the damaged and dirty teapot back from the seller. She has been very rude and claimed that the teapot I sent back was not the same one she sent me, which is completely untrue. The teapot she sent back was scuffed, dented, and clearly used, not new as she claimed. I have asked her politely for a refund by today, 20/03, but she is responding with abuse and causing a lot of hassle through emails. Initially, she refused to pay for the return postage, insisting I cover the cost, but eventually agreed to the return. Dealing with her has been quite a nightmare. Her feedback from other buyers speaks for itself. Why doesn't eBay take action against such sellers? I am the frustrated buyer, Kiconol.

Hello! I need assistance regarding misleading advertising details. On March 9th, I bought an alcohol hand gel sanitizer that was advertised as 3x500 ml for £14.50. I believed I was getting three bottles based on the description. However, I only received one bottle. When I contacted the seller, they insisted I paid for one bottle as it was described as "one bottle 500ml for £14.50," which was not accurate. I provided the seller with three screenshots clearly showing the advert stating "3x500ml."
Additionally, the item's description promised an email listing the supported charities, but I have not received it after a week and two requests. It is important to me that the high price I paid is indeed going to the intended charities. I would appreciate any help with this issue. Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Mirela M.

Hi,
I am having issues with my eBay account. It appears to be suspended, possibly due to selling items. I have sold 2 items, but one payment is being held by eBay. A buyer wants to purchase a mobile phone I listed and asked to communicate through personal email instead of eBay messages. I reached out via eBay Messenger with no response yet, and then my account was restricted. I received a link from eBay but could not increase my selling limit as it mentioned. I am unsure why my account is restricted as I have only sold one item, with no payment received for the phone sale and one cancelled item. Can you please assist me in resolving this matter promptly?
Thank you,
Sudeshini

Hello, I am an eBay seller. I recently sold 5 brand-new lipsticks to a buyer. I took images showing the perfect condition of the items. I suspected the buyer of fraud as they have around 6 eBay accounts with slightly different names but the same person and address. They contacted me from multiple accounts regarding the item. Despite my suspicions, I needed the money, so I proceeded with the sale. The buyer paid for the items, I shipped them the next day, and marked the item as dispatched. The buyer then claimed they never received the items and requested a refund. When I provided proof of purchase, they suddenly changed their story, saying they did receive the lipsticks but claimed they were fake. I can confirm they are authentic as I bought them from Cult Beauty, an official makeup site. I provided evidence of authenticity, but the buyer still insists on a refund. I do not offer refunds on my site as items cannot be resold once sold. I politely informed the buyer of this, but they keep requesting a refund. I believe eBay should intervene as it is unfair to make a legitimate seller lose money due to false claims from a customer who seems to exploit the system with multiple accounts. Thank you, Ebony.

Hello,
I am Marius Mladin, my eBay account is mariusmladin, and I have encountered an issue that I need assistance with. On March 15, [redacted], I sold item number [redacted]04 to a buyer with a delivery address in Croatia. Later that day, I received a message on eBay requesting a change of delivery address from Croatia to the UK. Without hesitation, I shipped the item to the new UK address, and it was delivered on 23.03.[redacted].
Recently, the buyer contacted me questioning how the parcel was sent to the UK when they are located in Croatia. Upon reviewing the messages, I noticed that the address change request came from a different user, pevee_74, with whom I did not engage in any transactions.
I am now stuck in a difficult situation as the actual buyer will likely demand a refund, which I am prepared to provide. However, I am puzzled as to how pevee_74 had access to this private information about the delivery address change. This breach of confidentiality raises concerns.
I am seeking guidance on how to proceed in this matter as I am unsure of the best course of action.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Marius

Hello,
I, Mera, have been attempting to reach customer support via phone today without success. I am reaching out regarding an order I placed for a double bed on eBay on 21.03. The delivery is scheduled for tomorrow, but due to the current coronavirus situation, I need to make a last-minute change. The order number is 01-04[redacted]4, and the item ID is [redacted]44. I would like to switch the double bed for a single bed of the same brand and update the delivery address to:
Mrs M Bubniv
19 Duke of Edinburgh Road
Sutton
SM1 3NU
Please ensure the delivery is directed to the new address provided above and not to 19 Morden Court, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5HN. I await your prompt response on this matter.
Sincerely,
Mera Bubniv

eBay closed several cases, claiming no action for 21 days, although I had been in touch with the sellers five days prior. The sellers had resent the items, but without a confirmation of delivery within the standard 21 days, it remains uncertain. Trying to dispute the case closures with eBay led me here after interacting with their automated system. It was frustrating to not receive any prior indication of the closures and lack of effort to understand the situations involved. I expected at least an email clarifying the status and intentions. However, I currently cannot reach eBay by phone nor have they replied to my emails, leaving the issue unresolved.

I bought some tile stickers from Castle Graphics on November 7, [redacted], for my son's home in the UK. When I opened the package in the Canary Islands, I realized I had ordered the wrong size. I need the larger size but want to return the current order first. I contacted the seller who instructed me to return via eBay. However, I couldn't find a way to initiate the return on the "more action" link with my order details. The seller is Castle Graphics, and the order was for Tilestickers with order number 11-04[redacted]4, sent to 27 Hedley Close, NewKyo, Annfield Plain, County Durham DH97BZ. Thank you. - Barry F.

Hello, I recently canceled several orders on Ebay as the items were no longer available due to the pandemic. I followed the cancellation process, and I was informed that payments made through PayPal would be refunded automatically. Unfortunately, some customers have not received their refunds after almost a week, and two have opened cases against me, claiming they haven't received their refunds. I am concerned that if I choose the refund option on their case requests, the refund might go through twice, leading to potential charges for me. Can you please advise me on how to handle these cases? I am unsure if all refunds have been issued automatically by PayPal. Will I face charges if the payment is refunded twice? What will happen if the case is closed in the buyers' favor, even though I had already canceled the item? I am puzzled by how they can open a case when it clearly states that the item has been successfully canceled. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As a seller, I am experiencing issues with a buyer regarding a bag I sold. The buyer initially agreed that the bag was fine when she received it, which I can prove with pictures. However, she now wants to return it for a refund or donate it to charity, which I am unwilling to do as I am not a business. The bag is a designer Ted Baker in good condition. Initially, I offered a refund upon return, but the listing clearly stated no refunds. The buyer has now requested additional money. Upon reflection, I feel I should not have to accept a damaged bag back since it was sent in excellent condition. Despite attempting to contact her, I have been unable to resolve the issue. I would appreciate some guidance on this matter. Thank you, Laura.

I purchased some face masks that were supposed to arrive between Saturday the 4th and Monday the 6th. I have reached out to the seller and they asked for a few more days. Unfortunately, I don't have a tracking number to locate my order. I informed the seller that I will wait until Wednesday. Despite my patience, they haven't responded to my messages. I paid £[redacted] for these masks, and now the seller has been removed from eBay, making it impossible to open a case. I am very unhappy and I want a refund. Can you assist me with this issue?
