The following are issues that customers reported to GetHuman about Xbox customer service, archive #21. It includes a selection of 20 issue(s) reported December 7, 2018 onward. If you have a similar customer service issue, this page will help you find current, up-to-date answers and solutions too.
It would be greatly appreciated to converse with someone in a more respectful manner. Yelling at the younger generation for making mistakes does not solve the issue. There are many individuals, like myself, who may struggle with literacy or using computers. I, personally, had an injury affecting my abilities. It seems as though there is a lack of concern for those in need of assistance. Efficiency could be improved to reduce wait times and address problems promptly. Customers should be the priority, as they are essential for business success. It is crucial for customers to recognize their significance.

It can be frustrating to navigate through the options when dealing with customer service for Xbox. It would be more efficient if the representatives were well-informed and able to assist promptly. Hopefully, they can streamline the process to make it easier for all users. It's understandable to feel frustrated and want a call to address the issues. Hopefully, the situation gets resolved soon.

I would like to speak to customer service regarding my game issue. Your Facebook sign up isn't important to me right now. I find it frustrating that there is no easy way to reach you. It seems like the support team is not responsive, and I feel the need to escalate this matter further if I don't receive assistance soon. I have family members who are also unhappy with this service. I am considering filing a complaint with the appropriate authorities or consumer organizations about this lack of support for Xbox One. It's important to understand that people will always find a solution to problems rather than just accepting inefficiency, especially in a society built on innovation and problem-solving.

I've requested assistance multiple times explaining the importance of proactive customer service. It would be more efficient if the customer, such as yourself, reached out to address issues rather than remaining inactive. It's frustrating to struggle with this lack of response. I desperately need help, but it seems no one is willing to assist. I have been patiently waiting for any form of communication to no avail. This lack of action is incredibly frustrating, and I fear it may lead to drastic measures. I implore you to consider the consequences of apathy in customer service. Please reach out to me promptly. I prefer to be contacted by a female representative due to my PTSD condition. Swift action is necessary to alleviate this mounting frustration caused by unresolved issues.

I have my brother's account set as my home Xbox, granting me access to download and play his games. However, I am encountering an issue with 'Red Dead Redemption 2'. Each time I log in, the game disconnects or freezes, prompting me to purchase it despite being able to play other games from his account without any problems. Even after several attempts and reinstalling the game, I cannot find it in the "Ready to Install" list. How can I resolve this particular issue with 'Red Dead Redemption 2'?

After receiving South Park: The Fractured But Whole as an anniversary gift from my girlfriend, I enjoyed the game so much that I decided to check for any available downloadable content. Ultimately, I ended up purchasing the digital version of the game. Wanting a refund for the duplicate purchase, I contacted Microsoft and they processed the refund. Unfortunately, I am now facing an issue where the disc version of the game is not launching due to an error stating I do not own the license. Despite reaching out for assistance, the advice provided, such as factory resetting my Xbox, seems drastic considering the potential loss of my extensive game library and progress. I am frustrated by this situation as I believe the error is not my fault.

I am experiencing difficulty creating an Xbox Live profile. When checking my connection on the Xbox, the Live status for Xbox Live core shows a service alert, contradicting the green check marks shown on the Xbox service page. It seems that Microsoft needs to address this issue. Despite my brother having no trouble using Xbox Live, I am unable to proceed with creating the account. I have purchased a $25 Gold Xbox Live card but have not redeemed it yet as I am unable to complete the account setup. The error always occurs after accepting the terms and attempting to proceed with the account creation process.

I received a notice via email at [redacted] regarding a one-day suspension on the Xbox Live account used by my ten-year-old son. I am seeking more information about the specific actions that led to the suspension. While discussing the matter with my son, he mentioned an exchange with another user who used inappropriate language and slurs. Despite this, I am concerned about the other user's age and accuracy of my son's account. I believe having a detailed understanding of the incident is crucial in determining the appropriate consequences for my son. Your prompt response to this issue is greatly valued. Thank you, April.

I have attempted numerous times to disable the auto-renew feature on my account. Despite changing it to a single payment and saving the settings, I continue to get charged each month. Usually, I rectify this by adjusting the settings again and assume I forgot to save properly. However, this time it caused a financial issue when my payment was declined due to auto-renew. Consequently, I incurred a $35 fee. Now, when I try to remove my card from the system, I receive an error message preventing me from doing so. I am requesting a refund of $10.79 for the erroneous charge and request that auto-renewal be turned off permanently.

I have attempted to cancel my Xbox Game Pass multiple times, but I have not used it in months. Despite trying to cancel, I keep getting billed due to the subscription not allowing me to do so. I received a payment failure notification, and it should be logical that the subscription would end in such a case. I have lost ten dollars that I really needed because of this situation. I have decided that I will no longer use Xbox services because of this issue. I hope there is a solution to this problem as it is unreasonable to make me pay for a service I have not been using just to cancel it. Even though I used to adore Xbox, my experience now leaves a bitter taste.

I have completed a repair order, but I am struggling to find how to generate a shipping label. It's frustrating trying to navigate the system without any clear instructions. I prefer speaking directly with a live customer service representative regarding this faulty product. The item was unpacked last night, but it never progressed beyond four percent. Now, I am attempting to return it, but I am unsure of the return location and process. It would be ideal if the return shipping was free of charge. Can anyone guide me on how to access and print the necessary shipping label for the return?

I recently bought an XBox One X and have been struggling to download the free game Forza Horizon 4 for over a week. The download speed varies between [redacted] kbps to 1.2 MB/sec on HughesNet, and after two weeks it's only 51% complete. I need assistance turning off the feature that shuts down the console after inactivity. I followed instructions to go through the menu and to pier mgmt, pressing the Xbox button with a cross in it, but it should've taken me to the guide which didn't happen. I'm trying to access SYSTEM/POWER&STARTUP to change this setting, so I can hopefully finish the download before [redacted] ends. If I can't resolve this, can Microsoft send me the game on DVD? I'm getting frustrated and may consider returning the unit as it seems unusable. Thank you for your help. - Steve

I recently encountered an issue with my Dragon Age Inquisition (Deluxe Edition) DLC not showing up in-game, even though they were previously available. I decided to uninstall Jaws of Hakkon to try and resolve the problem. However, after uninstalling it, I am unable to locate the DLC anywhere. I have searched through My Games and Apps, under Ready to Install, my order history, and the Microsoft store, but the purchased DLC is nowhere to be found. I am hesitant to uninstall any more add-ons out of concern that they may also go missing. Currently, only The Descent and Jaws of Hakkon are not appearing in-game, while The Black Emporium is functional. I am uncertain about Trespasser as I have yet to complete the game with my current character. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I have been suspended from communication on my account for allegedly sending inappropriate messages or acting inappropriately, which I believe might have been due to an incident while playing Fortnite. During the game, I received unpleasant remarks from players on PS4, and without a microphone for Xbox, I used the Xbox app to communicate through a friend. While I did respond with comments like "get a life" or "you're the worst player here," it was in retaliation to being called names and provoked by others. If there are other reasons for my suspension, I would appreciate clarification. I did not intend to behave inappropriately. If I unknowingly did so, it may have been influenced by the behavior of other users towards me. I acknowledge the one-day suspension and apologize if my actions warranted it. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I kindly request further details regarding my suspension.

Subject: Xbox Live Account Issue
Dear [redacted],
I am reaching out regarding my Xbox Live account, personally owned since [redacted]. Over the years, I have managed six accounts to accommodate my underage children. Recently, one account, SAHELO2MYLTLFRN, was permanently banned for alleged cheating, a matter I was unaware of. I have addressed the severity of cheating with my children to prevent future incidents.
I am puzzled by the penalty imposed on me as the account holder, considering the substantial investments made in DLC and yearly memberships for games like Rock Band and Destiny, now inaccessible. I kindly request the reinstatement of the banned account or the transfer of purchases to my remaining accounts: SAGUNIT2DABADGY, XxBIGMOUTHXx84, VxRYANROCKSXv07, Cortanna117, and GLADIATORGENMAX, which exhibit no behavioral infractions.
I regret any inconvenience and appreciate your prompt attention to rectify this situation.
Sincerely,
L. P. Jr. (SAHELO2MYLTLFRN)

My Xbox encountered an issue and I followed online instructions that led to an unexpected factory reset, resulting in the complete wipeout of my account. I couldn't recover my account and inadvertently managed to access my old Xbox [redacted] account with an incorrect email address input. However, this account lacks the purchased games, subscriptions, and features tied to my xRoyalXJokerx account. Payments for Xbox Live, Xbox Game Pass, EA Sports, and other apps were already deducted from my bank account. I urgently need assistance to regain access to my xRoyalXJokerx account and identify the linked email for further action. As I recently purchased a new Xbox due to the malfunction of my previous one, I seek a resolution to enjoy my previously acquired content without facing additional challenges. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

On Saturday, December 8th, [redacted], my Epic Games account (Nac_Bill) linked to my Xbox (Nac Bill) was hacked by an unknown user who changed it to GloryYTxi. I have spent over $1,[redacted] on this account, and now it's all lost. I have evidence of ownership from bank statements and V-Bucks receipts for Fortnite skins. I am determined to recover my account due to the significant investment I made in it. On that day, I tried to play Fortnite on my Xbox One and was prompted to log into a different Epic Account. Initially, I didn't think much of it, but later realized the account was compromised. My friends noticed the account online under a different name that I didn't choose. At this point, my options are limited, and my hard-earned money seems wasted. I am willing to provide any necessary proof to reclaim my account. I hope there's a way to resolve this and I am open to help in any possible manner. The email associated with my Xbox account was also taken over.

There have been unauthorized charges on my card starting from 10/10/18 through 12/09/18, totaling $[redacted].35. I have already canceled my card. I am looking to dispute these transactions. I am having trouble removing my card from my account and accessing my purchase history. I believe the purchasing process varies for different games but should not be too easy to make accidental purchases. If there are parental controls to block purchases, I would appreciate information on that. I want to dispute these charges as I did not intend to spend this money on Xbox, especially when it could have been used for more important things. While the kids enjoy the game, it is becoming costly.

I discovered 94 unusual transactions on my Wells Fargo account. I have filed a claim with Wells Fargo against Xbox. I have been trying to contact Wells Fargo at the 1-[redacted] number, but I only reach an automated message, making it hard to speak to someone directly. My son, age 15, has an Xbox, and I noticed that there were 4 separate transactions yesterday where Xbox withdrew money from my account. This has been happening since July [redacted] and needs to be addressed. I am awaiting a prompt response from customer service to resolve this matter and seek reimbursement for the affected transactions.

I recently bought a $50 Xbox Live gift card amid financial struggles. Despite challenges, I aimed to purchase the Red Dead Redemption game, a long-time favorite. However, I encountered an issue - unable to use my Xbox balance for the purchase. I wonder if there's a way around this, like a redeemable code. With $35 left on my balance and limitations on acquiring additional cards, clarifying purchase restrictions beforehand would have prompted me to explore alternative options from the start.
