I recently opened a Twitter account for the first time, but I haven't used it yet to tweet or read tweets. While reading an article about Whoopi Goldberg's comments regarding Roman Polanski, I clicked on a link in the article. Suddenly, I was notified that my account had shown unusual behavior that violates Twitter Rules. To verify my account, I was asked to allow Google to gather information about me, my device, and browser. I am uncertain what I did to trigger this alert and have reviewed the Google privacy policy without finding any answers. Can someone assist me in understanding what went wrong?

Hello. I'm reaching out regarding my Twitter account (@kaitlinfournier) that got suspended due to being considered "underage" when it was created. In December [redacted], with the assistance of my mother and older sister, I made the account when I was 12 years old. When prompted to verify my age upon logging in, I mistakenly indicated I had not filled out my birthdate correctly. My intention was to select the option confirming my parent or guardian helped me set up the account. I am unable to locate a way to rectify this mistake, hence my message to you. I am currently 15 years of age and would like my Twitter account reinstated because I am now of appropriate age to use it, had adult assistance when creating it, and use the platform to communicate with friends and sports organizations. Thank you.

I attempted to update my date of birth on my account and after I did it, my account got locked. I made the account a few months before turning 13, which I had completely forgotten about. I assume Twitter detected this and locked my account. I have been locked out for more than a month now. I understand the restrictions on users under 13, but it has been 8 years since I created my account, and I find it unreasonable to be locked out now. I am unsure how much longer I need to wait for it to be restored, but being locked out for longer than a week seems excessive, considering the time that has passed. I kindly request a review of this situation. I believe there are more serious issues occurring on the platform that warrant attention. I am now over 13, so please unlock my account.

Back in [redacted], I created a Twitter account at the age of thirteen to feel closer to One Direction and 5 Seconds Of Summer. Recently, I changed my username to mspandatrilla and updated my birthdate to January 13, [redacted]. Immediately after, my account got locked and suspended due to being underage. I've tried to recover it by providing my actual birthdate from my driver's license, but it's not being accepted. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue as I am unhappy with the current situation.

I made my Twitter account when I was younger than 13 back in [redacted], and I'm now 16. I mistakenly changed my birthdate to my correct age, over 13, on March 7th, [redacted]. Shortly after, my account got locked as per the rules. I understand it was my mistake. I hope there's a way to restore my account, @2020MarcusW, as it has all my important connections and interactions, especially for my football recruitment. It's challenging to start all over and regain all I've built. I genuinely apologize for the error, and I miss using Twitter daily. Thank you for your assistance.

When I was younger, I created a Twitter account, but I only started using it when I turned 16. Recently, I attempted to change my birthdate, and it ended up locking me out of my account. Fearing that selecting the option indicating I created the account under the age of 13 might result in my account being deleted, I chose the wrong option. Now, I am unable to take any action, and I can't revert it. The idea of starting over with a new account is daunting as social media holds my memories. I am seeking assistance to rectify this issue and select the correct age range. I received Facebook as a gift from my mom when I was 10, so please help me. My username is _kennarawls_ and my password is kenna99.

I recently modified my birth year on Twitter, and it subsequently locked me out under the assumption that I was under 13 when I joined. Despite being over 13, I'm unable to resolve this issue smoothly. The online help center didn't function properly on my phone, so I resorted to trying on my laptop. However, after logging in on the laptop, I encountered obstacles in describing my problem. The system only assures me my account will be unlocked, but it's been a day without further updates. The instructions mention clicking on "start" upon logging in, yet the button seems elusive both on my phone and laptop, directing me instead to a form.

I need assistance regarding the Twitter username @barrelbones. We have encountered a problem with this account, which is also our handle for Facebook, Instagram, and our website www.barrelbones.com. I have been attempting to address this issue for several days, but have not received any assistance. The user who acquired this handle from us in [redacted] is not active on it. We are struggling to prove our ownership of the name "Barrel Bones" and access our handle on Twitter, despite owning the domain. We have two ongoing cases: [redacted]9 and [redacted]3, submitted through our musical act Barrel Bones' two accounts. I am eager for better guidance or a phone number to speak with a representative.

I recently got suspended from Twitter for using threatening language towards another user. While I acknowledge the nature of my words, they were intended as a joke between friends. I believe that if Twitter could see the context, they would understand why I feel unfairly suspended. I've been on Twitter for over 5 years without any issues. Moving forward, I commit to avoiding any offensive language and being more cautious with my account. Twitter is crucial to me as my preferred social platform, and I sincerely hope to regain access. Thank you for your attention.

I attempted to update my birth year on my account and got locked out. I've filed a claim and am awaiting a response. I value my Twitter account tremendously because it holds 9 years' worth of memories, photos, tweets, and messages. It’s my sole Twitter account, which I use constantly for entertainment, connecting with distant friends, and as a beloved pastime. Losing access would be devastating as I don’t have these memories saved elsewhere. Despite the option of creating a new account, the sentimental value of the original one cannot be replicated. I tried messaging Twitter through a different account and noticed it didn’t prompt for a birthday. I’m puzzled why my account is suspended for an age discrepancy during the creation while a new account creation doesn’t mention age. How can I restore my Twitter account?

Hello. My Twitter account (@grantbarnett1) was suspended in May because I accidentally set my birth year as [redacted] instead of [redacted] when I created it at 12 years old. In May [redacted], I tried to correct my birthdate to the correct year but got suspended. I followed Twitter's process, submitted a review request, and even provided my Michigan ID for verification. A few months later, I was informed that my account could be restored if I deleted tweets from before I turned 18. Despite that, I still can't access my account after almost 5 months. Any idea when I might regain access? Thank you.

I recently realized my Twitter profile had the wrong birth year listed as [redacted] instead of [redacted]. When I corrected it, I got locked out because Twitter claimed I was under 13 when I created the account in March [redacted]. However, I was actually 13 in July [redacted]. Now, at 20 years old and having used Twitter for 8 years, I find it unreasonable to be locked out based on my age. Due to my broken phone screen, I mistakenly selected the option saying I was 13 when I created the account. They now want me to provide ID to verify my age, which I can't do because I wasn't 13 then. Losing access to my account would be upsetting since I have many memories and photos stored there. It's frustrating to need parental email consent at 20 years old.

My account, @ClanSinsofsalem, was recently disabled by Twitter due to the age requirement policy. Despite being 23 years old and managing the account for a game clan, I was asked to verify my age with a legal document. I submitted a copy of my ID card and was informed it was not valid. I replied to the email clarifying the issue, but received the same email again. The account represents the game clan, as stated in our profile BIO, and I am unsure why my government-issued ID was not accepted.

Hello, I recently found myself locked out of my account after making a change to my birth year. My account was initially created by my mother when I was a minor, and she completed the reinstatement agreement as requested. She uploaded a copy of her driver's license and the required form onto the site. Despite everything being clear and legible, we received an email stating that the submitted documents were not valid. This situation has been frustrating as we provided all the necessary proof, and I remain unable to access my account. I would appreciate the chance to speak directly with a representative to better understand the issue at hand. My mother did create the account for me and granted me access when I turned 13, and now that I am 18, she has fulfilled all the requested requirements.

I recently got locked out of my account because I changed my birth year. My mom, who originally created the account for me, completed the reinstatement process for a minor. She uploaded her driver's license and the required form to verify her identity. Despite everything being clearly visible, including her name, address, and birth date, we received an email stating that the information provided was not valid. This situation is becoming frustrating, as we have submitted all the requested proof and are still unable to access the account. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with a live representative to clarify the issue, as the automated responses are not providing sufficient explanations. My mom confirmed her role in creating the account for me and granting me access once I turned 13, and now, at 18 years old, we are facing difficulties despite submitting all necessary documentation.

Hello, my name is Selin Ergun, and I was born on August 4, [redacted]. I have been using my Twitter account, @selinnergun, for years. When I initially created my account, I was underaged, so I mistakenly entered my birth year as [redacted]. Recently, when I attempted to update my birth year, Twitter locked my account. Since then, I have been unable to access it despite appealing multiple times. Each time I try to log in from different devices, I receive a message stating, "We’ll be able to unlock your account and will be in touch again with updates on our progress." Twitter's response mentions that they are working on a solution to restore crucial parts of my account, such as my username and Tweets created after I turned 13. Any additional requests for this account will not be considered. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

I came across a Twitter account claiming to belong to Richard Wahl, the NJ lottery winner, offering to give away some of his winnings. Despite my initial skepticism, I fell for it and shared my contact details. Now, someone posing as a FedEx employee is asking for money to deliver a gift from Richard Wahl. This is a scam that needs to be stopped. Please investigate this further. I have screenshots of the conversation with the fake Richard Wahl and the supposed FedEx agent. I regret being so gullible and sharing my personal information. I urge everyone to be cautious and not make the same mistake as I did.

I have recently been suspended for making a joke with a friend that included the word "kill." This is my first offense, and after reviewing the rules, I noticed a statement about deleting prohibited content before being able to post or interact again on Twitter. I kindly ask for the chance to rectify this mistake by deleting the content and promise to adhere to all rules going forward. I have valued the connections I've made on this platform and would be devastated if I couldn't come back. Thank you for your time and I hope to receive a response soon.

I recently submitted a support ticket regarding my locked account. I received an automated response, but I am hoping for a human to assist me with my issue. Currently, I am encountering a problem with the "Enter Verification Code" page on Twitter as I haven't received the code despite multiple attempts to request it. After numerous tries, I now see a message stating that I have exceeded the allowed verification attempts. I am stuck and unable to access my account. Support has been unresponsive, and I am unable to reach anyone by phone. How can I verify my account without adequate assistance? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When I recently turned 20, I attempted to update my birth date on Twitter only to find myself locked out of my account due to creating it when I was under 13 years old. Despite creating the account a decade ago at the age of 10, I didn't actively use it until I was 14, as confirmed by my tweet history. It seems unfair to be penalized now for a policy that didn't exist when I opened the account. This restriction is affecting my business connections, and I am eager to resolve this issue promptly. I am of legal age to use Twitter and willing to provide my ID to verify my age. Please unlock my account and, if necessary, remove any tweets predating my 13th birthday.
