Hello, I borrowed my brother's SIM card before moving back to South Africa from the UK. Since he relocated to Barcelona from South Africa, I switched to his South African SIM card. However, I was unaware that he was still using that number for WhatsApp. This led to his account getting locked and our chats merging. Upon realizing the issue, I reverted to my UK SIM card and changed my WhatsApp number back to my UK one, assuming this would allow him access to his South African account. Unfortunately, he remains locked out as the system does not recognize the South African number for him to make the change in WhatsApp. I am seeking assistance to resolve this situation.

I received an email claiming to be from WhatsApp Inc. stating I have won $[redacted],[redacted]. They mentioned issues transferring the funds to my bank account in India. I am instructed to contact the Reserve Bank of India to convert the amount to Indian Rupees before it can be credited to my account. The email provides specific instructions and an email address to contact. The sender requests confidentiality and warns against sharing the information to avoid theft of the lottery funds. If this is legitimate, it would be great news, but I am unsure about the authenticity of this email. Should I proceed as instructed to claim the winnings?

I'm experiencing an issue with my WhatsApp account, registered under Phone Number +[redacted]88. I have never used a modified version of WhatsApp as mentioned in the FAQ. I'm unsure why my account has been banned, possibly due to another reason. I have attached a screenshot of the error message I am currently encountering. I recently experienced a major issue with my phone where I couldn't contact my granddaughter directly. WhatsApp worked fine for video calls and messages with others, but not directly with her. I visited Tesco, where I bought my Huawei Pro Lite phone, and a staff member suggested reinstalling WhatsApp. Sadly, this process led to the deletion of all my important chats, including sentimental conversations with a friend who passed away. Despite attempts to backup at home, only a few recent messages were saved. This situation has left me extremely upset and disappointed in the Tesco employee's advice. Hello, I've been unable to access my WhatsApp account for 24 hours now and need assistance. My T-Mobile SIM card is now linked to a new number, +1-[redacted], due to security concerns. While I can make calls and send texts from this number, I've been unable to update it on WhatsApp and am locked out. Despite repeated attempts, my PIN entry results in being locked out for longer each time. I am receiving calls and texts on my new number and can connect to Wifi. Dear Sirs, I hope you can assist me. Unfortunately, I am experiencing difficulties contacting WhatsApp. I am located in the UK and usually use WhatsApp on my Samsung Galaxy S4. However, my Samsung went in for repair, so I used a backup S4 with my SIM for about a week. Upon getting my original phone back and re-verifying my number on WhatsApp, I have realized that some of my contacts and messages are missing, especially the new ones from the period I used the backup phone. I have attempted to back up my data now, but it seems I should have done so before switching phones. I am curious if WhatsApp stores all messages sent and received on their network and if there is a way to retrieve them for my number. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I recently switched to a new phone and backed up my old phone before transferring to the new one. While trying to restore my WhatsApp chat history from Google Drive on the new device, I received an error message stating, "CAN'T RESTORE, CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION," despite having a stable 4G connection. To troubleshoot, I even installed a second WhatsApp app successfully on the new phone using a different number and email. I've been attempting to resolve this issue since last Saturday, and the verification wait time has now reached 47 hours. In an attempt to restore my chat history, I created a local backup file in the WhatsApp folder on my file manager, but I'm unsure how to proceed with the restoration process as the only option presented during restoration is for Google Drive backups exclusively. Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using WhatsApp for two years now. I mostly use it to keep in touch with friends outside the United States. The last message I received was in April from my friend Valentina in Chile. At some point between then and my vacation in Germany in June, all my conversations became encrypted. Now, I can't message any of my friends because all my chats have "end-to-end encryption." I need my friends to scan my screen or number in person to communicate on WhatsApp. I don't remember enabling any extra security measures and it's confusing that my friends in Colorado don't have this issue. I'm unsure if my account was hacked or if I unintentionally changed a setting. I rely on WhatsApp to stay connected with people I've met, so I need assistance to resolve this issue.

I have utilized the phone number +[redacted]32 on WhatsApp since around late [redacted], perhaps September or October. Unfortunately, I have been locked out of my account after receiving a message that my number was registered on another device. As I am currently abroad, I do not have access to the SIM card to verify the account. I have noticed that the individual who took over my account has changed the profile picture but is not responding to messages from my contacts. I am concerned about this situation and would like advice on how to handle it. I would appreciate any guidance on how to retrieve my number. However, if that is not possible, I request that the number be blocked to prevent any potential scams by the person in possession of it. I have informed some of my contacts about this issue, but I am unable to reach everyone, especially those in my student groups.

My phone number, +[redacted][redacted], was compromised on WhatsApp. The hacker set up a two-step verification pin, which I've never used before. I need help deleting the account so I can start fresh. I receive verification codes, but I can't proceed. The issue occurred when I attempted to buy data from a vendor who asked for the verification code that I would receive. After receiving a call asking for the code, I mistakenly shared it assuming it was related to the vendor's database. Unfortunately, the hacker gained access to my WhatsApp account. I need to reset the account to prevent further damage. My emails are [redacted] and [redacted] The current user of my WhatsApp account does not have access to my phone line, so I can still use it.
