Good morning. I recently spoke with a representative from the Wall Street Journal regarding a delivery issue. This marks the third time I've contacted them in the past few months due to delivery problems. I want to ensure that all representatives are professional, polite, and empathetic. They mentioned they would inform the distributor about the issue, but with this recurring problem, I am unsure if action is being taken. You can review the record of my previous calls. Initially, there was a production shortage, then weather-related issues, and now I did not receive the paper without explanation. I've received a renewal invoice but am hesitant to pay considering these ongoing problems. I mentioned my husband's interest in subscribing to Barrons, but I'm doubtful it will arrive reliably. Hoping for a successful delivery tomorrow. Thank you for addressing my concerns. - Martha L.

I have been attempting to resolve this issue for months now. Our distributor consistently fails to deliver our WWJ by 7 a.m., often arriving after 9 a.m. Despite numerous calls, the problem persists. I require the contact details of our representative and our west coast distributor in Irvine, California. Can you assist me with this matter? I recently changed the delivery location of my WSJ subscription from [redacted] Silverado Street, La Jolla, CA [redacted] (my office) to [redacted] El Camino del Teatro, La Jolla, CA [redacted] (my home). The delivery was supposed to start today, Thursday, December 5th. However, I did not receive the paper at 7:00 am at either location. The subscription is under the name Capital Growth Properties or John Michaelsen. I have been a subscriber for many years. Could you please confirm that the paper will be delivered to my home starting tomorrow? Thank you.

Subject: Delivery Concerns and Customer Service Feedback I am reaching out to address a recent concern regarding the delivery of our newspaper. Despite our paper being back on schedule, we came home to find three days’ worth of papers in our driveway. As someone who has spent eleven years in NYC, I am cautious about signaling our absence to potential burglars. While our neighborhood is generally safe, it's better to avoid such risks. I kindly request that delivery suspensions are respected to prevent such incidents in the future. Additionally, I suggest providing a direct email address for customer service concerns rather than resorting to phone calls or live chats. Email communication is efficient for addressing and resolving customer issues promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, J. Kirkpatrick

In response to the editorial titled "Lamar Alexander's Finest Hour" on February 3, [redacted], I was truly taken aback. As a Republican voter, Senator Alexander's refusal to allow witnesses and documents appears cowardly to me. What exactly are the Republican Senators trying to hide by not seeking the truth? With Trump's belief in "L'Etat C'est Moi" (I am the State), his imminent acquittal may embolden him to act without restraint! The argument that removing him from office would be too divisive seems to overlook the consequences of allowing him to act unchecked, especially with his influence over the Judiciary and Republican members in both the Senate and Congress. How can anyone justify his actions? Your stance on this matter deeply troubles me. If I didn't value having a balanced perspective, I would consider canceling my subscription. Sincerely, P. Blumenstock

Dear Community Members, As someone who works with students in grades 7-12, I want to express my frustration with recent articles on education during the Coronavirus pandemic. I am deeply disappointed in the focus on students supposedly "regressing." Through this crisis, young minds are learning and adapting, even if they are facing challenging circumstances. Teachers have worked tirelessly to transition to online learning, showing our dedication to our students' success. Instead of listening to distant administrators, trust the educators who are on the front lines. We know what our students need and are dedicated to fostering their love of learning. It's crucial to understand the challenges teachers face, both financially and professionally. Despite the obstacles, we continue to prioritize our students' well-being. The current situation demands support and understanding, not criticism. Let's work together to ensure a bright future for our students. Sincerely, Aaron B. To those seeking wisdom, it's essential to discern between fool's gold and true gold as instructed by God. The pure essence once found in rivers, lands, and air has immense value, awaiting recognition in the final judgment day. Avoid chasing earthly treasures and neglecting your stewardship responsibilities. Consider the implications of advanced technology and the potential for a judgmental artificial intelligence observing Earth's destruction caused by mankind's actions. Reflect on the consequences of enriching a select few while disregarding the well-being of others. Be mindful of who truly influences government affairs and their motives. This critical juncture demands a shift towards investments benefiting humanity and the planet. Understand the significance of forthcoming rewards based on your choices. Embrace the opportunity for transformation before it's too late, acknowledging the need for positive change to secure Earth's future. Repentance, reflection, and alignment with higher principles are vital for navigating these uncertain times.

I am concerned about the recent surge in coronavirus cases and believe it is important to address the reasons behind it. I feel it is necessary to hold accountable the mayors of major cities and media outlets for their response to the protests during this pandemic. It is concerning to see large gatherings without proper social distancing and the potential consequences of these actions. I hope that the truth will be properly reported and that responsible actions are taken to prevent further spread of the virus. Additionally, I have an idea for a powerful magazine cover that captures the impact of the current situation.

On the 29th of September, I sent a $99 payment for a one-year renewal promotion for Sun Trust, only to realize that the check was linked to a different account number. Consequently, my delivery was discontinued last Friday. When I contacted a WSJ representative on Saturday to address this issue, they were unable to locate my account. Being 93 years old, I greatly admire Peggy Noonan and value my credit integrity and commitments. With a background as a retired news executive, I am surprised by the lack of oversight in the promotion and circulation departments of newspapers. I am willing to proceed with the $99 promotion for four years, or else, I may resort to reading Peggy's work at the library. William F. I have been a subscriber to the print edition for many years, and the paper has been delivered to my front porch. Due to being seniors, my wife and I find it inconvenient to walk down our large U-shaped driveway, especially in inclement weather. The delivery person used to drive through our driveway and toss the paper toward our front porch, which worked well for us. Unfortunately, the recent deliveries have been left by the street instead. Despite calling WSJ three times for help, the issue persists. I kindly request assistance in addressing this matter with our delivery person. Thank you. - J.N., 5 Fiddler Crab Trail, Westhampton, NY [redacted]

I have been attempting to cancel my WSJ subscription since the end of November [redacted]. Despite multiple attempts through phone calls and emails, I have not been able to reach anyone. On December 3, I was billed again, and the customer service representative, "Joy Jasmin," stated I could only cancel over the phone. Please cancel my subscription and confirm once the charge on December 3, ending in #[redacted], has been withdrawn.

I would like to register a complaint regarding Joseph Epstein and his recent article questioning Jill Biden's use of the title "Dr." unless she is a medical doctor. I find this suggestion to be outrageous and potentially misogynistic. Would he make the same comment about a man? It is offensive and disrespectful to all women and individuals who hold a Ph.D. and choose to use the title. The Wall Street Journal should issue an apology to Jill Biden and anyone else affected by the article. Kindly ensure that this feedback reaches the appropriate channels for review.

The recent comments made by Joseph Epstein have caused concern. The need for your paper to apologize for overlooking respectful treatment of individuals with advanced degrees has led to a loss of respect from many educated and thoughtful citizens. Obtaining a PHD is a significant achievement that requires dedication and hard work. Higher education is crucial for personal growth and societal advancement. It's important to recognize the value of continuous learning and diverse perspectives. The failure to embrace all individuals' efforts to better themselves diminishes the paper's credibility and support. Striving for inclusivity and celebrating everyone's commitment to self-improvement is essential. It is hoped that the paper will reflect on this and improve its approach in the future.

I am requesting a retraction of the Op-Ed by Joseph Epstein. I have been a holder of the Dr. title for 49 years in Economics. Throughout my professional career, I have been an avid reader of the Wall Street Journal. I distinctly remember my Doctoral Advisor congratulating me after I defended my Doctoral Dissertation, saying, "You will now hold the title of Doctor for life." What qualifications does Joseph Epstein possess to believe he can strip Dr. Jill Biden of her rightful and earned title of 'Doctor'? If Epstein lacks the authority to revoke Dr. Jill Biden's title, his Op-Ed should be withdrawn. Dr. D. M. Burney

As a periodic subscriber to the Wall Street Journal for over 50 years, I was disappointed to read Epstein's belittling remarks regarding Jill Biden's well-deserved title of Doctor. Epstein's unnecessary comparisons and condescension towards earned doctorates versus honorary degrees were uncalled for and fell below the newspaper's usual standards. Despite Epstein's misguided comments, I didn't initially intend to voice a complaint. However, Paul Gigot, the editor of the Journal’s opinion section, went too far with his dismissive reaction and defense of questionable journalism. Gigot's assertion that criticizing Jill Biden should be allowed missed the mark since legitimate critique was lacking in the article. While the WSJ should continue publishing thought-provoking pieces, they should be more discerning and open to feedback rather than becoming defensive. I hope for better from the Wall Street Journal in the future.

I am concerned about the recent article published in your paper by Joseph Epstein titled "Is There a Doctor in the White House? Not if You Need an M.D." The content of the piece was deeply offensive and disrespectful towards the incoming First Lady, Mrs. Jill Biden. The opening lines addressed her as "kiddo" and suggested she drop the title of "Dr." due to her Ed.D. degree. The tone and content were inappropriate and lacking in respect. It is disappointing that such an article was allowed to be published without careful consideration of its implications. This kind of language only serves to diminish the achievements of women in positions of authority. It is important to uphold journalistic standards of respect and professionalism, especially when addressing public figures.

I recently came across the WSJ article by J. Epstein discussing Dr. Jill Biden's use of her title. Despite having only delivered three children, I hold a degree in veterinary medicine and proudly consider myself a doctor. The tone of the article seems to reflect an issue with jealousy regarding titles. This situation is reminiscent of the concept of title envy, equivalent to needing a title to compensate for inadequacy. After reading this piece, I have made the decision to cease my subscription to WSJ. On a positive note, I have a friend who owns many birds I can share the birdcage liner with.

I wanted to bring to your attention a correction for the 12/23/20 edition of the WSJ. In Joe Morgenstern's movie review, he mentions "the Bourne Supremacy and two Jason Bourne sequels." This is inaccurate. The correct order is The Bourne Identity as the first film, followed by The Bourne Supremacy and then The Bourne Ultimatum. It's important for factual accuracy, especially in movie reviews. Thank you. John H.

I read Scott McCartney's column "Air Mail" in yesterday's (12/28) print edition of the WSJ on page A12, which had reader questions & answers. When I told my friend, who subscribes to the WSJ online, he couldn't locate it. Despite trying to search for the article by its title in quotes or by "Scott McCartney WSJ," we were unsuccessful in finding it online. As a result, I'll be sending him a physical copy of the article. I'm curious about why the article isn't available online.

I read your article dated 12/28/20 discussing the potential pardon of Edward Snowden by Trump. The article contains inaccuracies such as stating he "stole millions of national security documents and absconded to Hong Kong and Moscow." Snowden went to Hong Kong to safely share documents with The Guardian and The Washington Post, revealing CIA's unlawful mass surveillance of Americans. While en route to Ecuador, his passport was revoked in Russia by the US, leaving him stranded in Moscow. Snowden's actions led to reforms in CIA surveillance methods years later. Thank you.
