I emailed my complaint to the Quality Department of Volkswagen Barcelona on June 11th, following instructions from Barna Wagen over the phone. I then sent the same complaint via registered mail to Paseo del Valle Hebron [redacted], [redacted] Barcelona on June 23rd. Despite my efforts, I have not received any response or acknowledgment regarding the issue I experienced with my Golf V. An engineer's report indicates that a bolt left in the DSG gearbox during repair work at Barna Wagen caused significant damage after some use. I hope for a resolution without needing legal action, but I am prepared to do so if necessary. I am confused by the lack of communication and proactive approach in addressing this matter, especially from a company known for its product quality. I trust that the situation will be rectified promptly.

Hello,
I'm Parth Patel from Mehsana, North Gujarat, [redacted]. I regret to report that the Volkswagen showroom and workshop in Mehsana are deceiving customers. The service at the dealer point is inadequate, with no one providing satisfactory answers, including the showroom owner. I bought an Ameo H.L Plus, and from the purchase date, I have been facing issues with steering vibration and turning noise. At 15,[redacted] km, they addressed the problem by changing the brake pads and discs for free, but the turning issue is due to a damaged axle from the beginning. The workshop manager chose to repair instead of replacing the faulty part. Now, I am experiencing the same issues with the axle, but they refuse to acknowledge the problem, asserting they cannot assist further. Please take action on this matter. Thank you.

I recently discovered a Valve Cover Gasket Oil Seepage issue on my [redacted] GTI and brought it in for repairs after being advised by the dealership. Even though I was told it's a common concern in VW vehicles, I am dissatisfied and believe it should be covered by my warranty. I have never experienced similar problems with my [redacted] Beetle. Despite multiple attempts to contact Customer Care, I have not received a resolution. I was informed that an Area Rep might provide assistance, but I am yet to receive a callback. I am considering opening a case to address this issue. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently bought a [redacted] Volkswagen Passat R-Line from Antwerpen Volkswagen in Pasadena, Maryland on August 5, [redacted]. The car has a rear suspension problem and I need help with it. During the vehicle transfer process, I had a negative experience due to dealership staff closing early and leaving me in the dark to retrieve my belongings. There was no gas in the car, with the gas light on, but thankfully there was a gas station nearby. Garrett, who sold me the car, ensured my safety. I returned the car for a test drive with Yancey and a technician, but they didn't find any issues and left quickly. Yancey mentioned I needed to contact the finance company or risk losing the new car and possibly the one I traded in. I lodged a complaint with the BBB and spoke to someone named Brian Dole from Antwerpen Corporate, but never received a call back. It's almost been 30 days since I bought the car, and I want to share my disappointing experience reflecting on your brand. I've read negative comments about the dealership's practices and consumer experiences, which left me shocked. As a first-time Volkswagen owner, I had high hopes because my Aunt used to drive a Volkswagen Beetle when I was young. Can you help me address the suspension issue on the passenger side rear of my 20,[redacted]-mile vehicle? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you. Tammy

I am Elizabeth W., and I need to share an issue that occurred at the Asheville NC Flow Dealership. My phone number is [redacted], and I wish to speak to someone about my bad experience. After purchasing my Volkswagen in Winston-Salem two years ago, where I always received great service, my recent visit to Asheville was terrible. I had a flat tire while in Asheville, waited two hours for roadside assistance, and the service person was very impolite. The tire needed to be ordered, resulting in an unplanned hotel stay costing $[redacted]. Despite assurances, there was no communication about the tire, so I had to stay another night at a cost of $[redacted]. When I finally went to pick up the car, there were delays, and the service person was unhelpful and failed to provide information on the flat tire. This whole experience has made me consider paying off the car and changing to a different brand like Toyota. I'm looking for someone to contact me so I can file a complaint. Thank you.

Dear Sirs,
I am writing to inform you about my current situation regarding my Seat Ateca with registration no. MYN529. My car, still under warranty with Volkswagen Group, has recently experienced a DSG gearbox failure and has been in the Limassol, Cyprus dealership service department for 3 weeks now. Despite the department's confirmation of ordering a new gearbox upon receiving my car, they have now informed me that they are uncertain about the availability of the replacement part.
The dealership mentioned that they have not encountered similar issues with other Ateca models, leading me to believe this is an isolated incident with my vehicle. I am concerned that simply replacing the gearbox may not resolve potential future problems. I request a car replacement as I believe this issue stems from a manufacturing fault rather than any actions on my part. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Andreas S.

My car keys were stolen, and I couldn't disengage the electronic parking brake for towing. I contacted the VW dealership where I bought the vehicle, and they said there was no manual release for the parking brake. This caused a 3-hour wait for my pregnant wife and me until a tow company could come. The car had to be dragged with the wheels locked, resulting in a $[redacted] fee from VW to check for damage. This design flaw is frustrating. I feel I should be compensated for the $[redacted] damage assessment fee, since the faulty design led to this situation. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jeremy G.

Hello,
I am Manish Sanghavi from Nagpur, India. In January this year, I purchased a Tiguan Allspace. The driving experience has been overall excellent. However, I am disappointed that the car does not have inbuilt navigation for India considering the price. Instead, I received navigation for Germany, which is not suitable here. The dealer informed me that installing a third-party navigation app would not be guaranteed by the company. I previously emailed about this matter but have not received a response. I am looking for a positive solution and hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you.

My Passat spent over 2 months at VW Auffenberg dealership for various repairs including water pumps, timing belt, oil filter housing cooler replacement, and an electrical short. They mentioned I needed a turbo, which they claimed was under warranty but later admitted they never replaced. After picking up my car, it had issues with cutting out, stuttering at idle, and the check engine light came on. Despite contacting Auffenberg for service, I had to wait two weeks, during which the engine light came on and off with poor acceleration. At the dealership, I waited for over 5 hours to be told I needed a new engine, which should be covered. I'm frustrated as I lost a day's pay, have no transportation, and Auffenberg couldn't offer me any assistance. My car remains unfixed after 2 months at the dealer, revealing ongoing issues due to VW's failure to address the initial problem. This level of service has left me extremely dissatisfied.

My [redacted] VW Beetle Turbo 2.0 R-Line is experiencing issues with starting, with no prior symptoms. After being towed to Fairfax Volkswagen on 12 Jan [redacted] due to this problem, it took 3 weeks for a response, possibly due to staffing challenges caused by a departing service manager. The diagnosis revealed that the engine jumped time due to a faulty timing chain, a known defect for this model that Volkswagen has recalled. As a pre-certified used car purchased from Fairfax VW, the lack of prior servicing for this defect is concerning. Discovering that the timing issue cannot be rectified through a recall and may require a new engine is disheartening. I am eager to have my car repaired but do not believe I should be responsible for the damages caused by a defective part. I hope we can find a satisfactory resolution promptly to have my car back on the road. Thank you. - Reginald U. / [redacted]

I've been waiting for parts for almost three months, but no one can provide clear information on their whereabouts. The specific parts I need are for rekeying a VW Golf Wagon. The car is currently at the repair lot of a VW dealer in Minneapolis. I'm losing faith in their promises as this has been dragging on for months now. I'm currently renting a car at a cost of $[redacted] per week. Despite VW operating on SAP, which usually gives a good picture of parts in transit, the staff at the dealership don't seem to be concerned about the situation.

I submitted an insurance claim for my Volkswagen Ameo with the car no: GJ-01 RY-[redacted] at the Sarkhej Ahmedabad showroom. The insurance company approved the damage for the front bumper, but the Volkswagen workshop is insisting on charging an additional 20% for labor and painting, which seems unjustified to me. I have a zero deductible insurance policy from Liberty General Insurance, so I don't understand why I should have to pay extra at the workshop. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will have to escalate it to consumer protection authorities. I appreciate your quick attention to this matter. Thank you.

Good evening, I am writing to you from Colombia. I may not speak your language, but I am asking for a big favor from the bottom of my heart. My daughter-in-law bought a car from your prestigious company, but due to the Covid pandemic, she couldn't keep up with the payments. She thought the company would consider the situation because of the pandemic. She reached out to the company, but never received a response. When she went back to work and tried to pay the installments, she was surprised to find out that she was at risk of losing the car. Please, have some mercy for the sake of GOD. She needs the car for her job and to take the children to school. Why not help by arranging a new payment plan? Please, I am very anxious for my family who live there. Everything can be resolved, please do it for my children who all had Covid. This message is very urgent. I beg for your help. We are not refusing to pay, everything can be settled by discussing and either making a new agreement or refinancing the debt. You can reply in English or German so she can understand. I beg you, as an elderly woman, I can't come to plead with you in person. My cell phone number is +[redacted]38. My email is [redacted] This is my WhatsApp number. I can provide you with all the details of my daughter-in-law if you help. May my FATHER continue to bless you always.

I recently purchased a new [redacted] VW Tiguan in June which came with a trial 2GB of T-Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. However, after the trial ended, I encountered difficulties trying to add the monthly plan via the VW Car Net website. On Day 1, I used the Car Net App but after entering my payment information, I was unable to proceed. On Day 2, I reached out to VW customer support who promised a solution within 24 hours. On Day 3, I was disappointed to hear that Car Net claimed the issue was not on their end. Feeling frustrated, on Day 4, I visited a T-Mobile store for assistance but was informed that without a T-Mobile account, I couldn't add the desired plan through Car Net. Despite providing the IMEI number, I was told T-Mobile couldn't help as I wasn't a customer. Now on Day 5, T-Mobile is requesting the serial number from the car's SIM card, causing further confusion and exasperation in my attempts to resolve this issue with both VW and T-Mobile.

I own a [redacted] Tiguan SEL. On May 29, [redacted], my radio suddenly shut off, and the dashboard displayed "starting nav" without the backup cameras working. I scheduled an appointment with Cochran VW in Wexford, PA, and brought my car in on June 2, [redacted]. They informed me that it needed an F5 module, which was expected to arrive on June 6th. However, there have been delays due to difficulties in sourcing the F5 module for Tiguans and Atlas cars. Despite my efforts, as of July 21, [redacted], there is still no estimated time for when the part will be available. The dealership can only obtain the part from one provider due to an agreement with VW, and they offer refurbished parts to customers. I have reached out to Customer Care twice, but it seems the dealership is not responsive. I have come across online discussions where even owners of [redacted] Tiguans have faced a similar issue. I have extended my lease until February [redacted] with the intention of buying the car, but I am hesitant to do so until this issue is resolved. The delay is frustrating, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a [redacted] Touring Executive that I've owned for four years and it's been plagued with numerous problems. The staff in La Puente took around nine hours to diagnose one of the issues - a comfort module. This is just one of the many issues my family and I have experienced with over 25 different VWs. Despite our love for these cars, the maintenance costs are becoming overwhelming. From faulty master cylinders to sunroof malfunctions, the number of problems is concerning for vehicles that are relatively new. Currently, I'm facing a high cost for the comfort module repair and had to pay for a loaner vehicle as well. As an Amazon fleet manager, I typically have a good understanding of vehicles, but these constant issues with my beloved VW are proving to be a challenge. I respect the brand and want to care for my car, but the costs and frequent repairs are becoming excessive. Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated. William R.

In March [redacted], my [redacted] VW Tiguan was in a car accident and has been at the body shop due to a parts shortage. The required parts are on backorder with no estimated time of arrival. As a full-time employee, not having my vehicle for almost 6 months has been taking a toll on me mentally, financially, and physically.
I have contacted my insurance company, the body shop, Better Business Bureau, and the VW dealership where I purchased the vehicle. Unfortunately, no one has been able to provide a solution to this situation that is beyond my control. I am determined to continue pursuing a resolution until this issue is resolved. Thank you.

Good morning,
I am writing to request further and possibly more comprehensive information regarding a recurring issue that happened years ago. In [redacted], if I remember correctly, while on my way to Bologna with my Golf VI series, with license plate EB447YT, [redacted] TDI Highline from April [redacted], I had to call a tow truck in Ferrara due to a serious engine anomaly. At one of your service centers, it was discovered that one injector was broken, and even though the warranty had expired, it was replaced.
I remember receiving documentation from Volkswagen at home referring to this factory defect, certifying that this particular series could experience it and assuring the customer of a full and prompt resolution.
I asked, since the issue had been certified by the manufacturer, to replace all injectors without waiting for another breakdown, which is both expensive and requires not using the vehicle for a few days, which I find unreasonable. I was told that they couldn't replace the remaining 3 injectors because they were not faulty, and I reluctantly accepted this decision, as any buyer would expect a fully functioning product, not a time bomb.
As a fellow merchant myself, when I encounter a manufacturing defect, I resolve it for the customer regardless of their financial status.
Coincidentally, the problem reoccurred! I was stranded with the car, and at an authorized service center, I was informed that they would only intervene for a fee. I was given a quote of over €1,[redacted], which left me extremely surprised.
I contacted your customer service hotline and spoke with the kind lady Alessandra, who did not provide her last name for privacy reasons, confirming what the service center operator had told me.
Based on the above, I am asking whether you believe what happened is ethical or if I am just experiencing a bad dream. I have been in the retail business for many years, I am familiar with warranty specifics, HOWEVER, in light of a full admission from the manufacturer, I am speechless that a crucial component like the injector is not being replaced due to the passage of time.
The car is from [redacted], it's been 12 years, has less than [redacted],[redacted] km, practically new. While a couple of maintenance services were done outside the Volkswagen network in the past due to work issues, I believe that possessing documentation directly from the manufacturer should serve as proof for resolving this issue under warranty.
I am hopeful to receive a different type of response; otherwise, I will be forced to explore other options. As a loyal customer, I have always trusted your brand for its efficiency and customer support.
I remain at your disposal and thank you. Have a good day.

I collected my ID.4 from Romano Volkswagen on Thursday, 2/2. Upon arriving home, I noticed swirl marks all over the car, particularly on the hood, which were not visible during the cloudy delivery. I reported this to my salesperson via text on 2/3. I showed the marks to the service manager, Taylor and Frank, who admitted these imperfections but indicated they couldn't address them without Volkswagen of America's approval. They suggested the marks might have come from washing the car, although I hadn't cleaned it myself. I am dissatisfied with the situation as I've never encountered such marks on my previous vehicles. There were no marks on the other new vehicles we inspected at the dealership. I request Volkswagen to authorize addressing this either with a paint repair and coating or guarantee in writing to do so if it worsens by my next visit on April 5th. Please contact Taylor Hence-Ottman, the Ford/Volkswagen Service Director at Romano Volkswagen, at [redacted] or [redacted]

I need to replace the DPF and EGR filters on my [redacted] VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI. After the emissions fix and receiving a 5-year warranty, the car has been sputtering and hard to start. The tailpipe emitted a lot of exhaust fumes with no codes showing on the dashboard. Despite multiple checks by the VW dealer, no issues were found. Just after the warranty expired, a code indicated the need for new filters with a cost close to $3,[redacted]. I am contacting VW to request coverage for the repair since it is linked to the vehicle's emissions system, occurring only a month after the warranty expired.
