Dear Sir/Madam, Approximately three weeks ago, we received emails from Vietnam Airlines regarding changes to our flight from London, UK to Sydney, AU via Ho Chi Minh. After receiving two emails in quick succession, we decided to call Vietnam Airlines in London to inquire about the situation and determine if any further steps were needed. We regret to inform you that upon contacting your London staff (a lady who declined to provide her name), instead of assisting us with our queries about the numerous flight changes, she responded rudely by shouting and calling me an "idiot," then abruptly ending the call. Subsequently, we contacted Opodo, the UK agent who sold us the ticket, to request a cancellation due to the unpleasant experience with Vietnam Airlines' London office. However, Opodo informed us that only a partial refund of £[redacted] could be provided, which we found unsatisfactory. Despite expressing our discontent to the UK's Civil Aviation Authority, we were informed that regulations may not apply to non-EU airlines. Today, we raised our concerns to Opodo once more about the unprofessional behavior exhibited by Vietnam Airlines' London office and reiterated our decision not to proceed with them for our trip to Vietnam and Australia. However, Vietnam Airlines' London staff reacted in a similar unhelpful manner when contacted by Opodo, leaving us feeling frustrated. Opodo now advises that we are only eligible for a £[redacted] refund out of the £[redacted] paid, which we feel falls below acceptable European standards. Due to a lack of birth certificates for the children of Ms. Cao Thi Mong, they were unable to board the flight from Hanoi to Dong Hoi and had to take a bus to Hue instead, resulting in three unused tickets.
