I purchased a £50 Steam card in December as a gift for my stepson. He waited patiently for his birthday until his computer was upgraded. This was bought at Argos in Derbyshire. Today, he tried to redeem it, only to be told it was redeemed on April 16th at 12:05. However, this cannot be true as he only scratched the code today in front of me. We have tried to resolve this to no avail. Though I understand you cannot disclose who redeemed the card, this appears to be fraudulent. I kindly request the card be credited to his account and I may need to involve the police. It is disheartening for him to be let down like this. I urge you to consider honoring his card.
Sincerely,
Kirk Roberts

I am currently experiencing an issue with Counter Strike Global Offensive, specifically unable to participate in competitive matches due to the recurring error message "Vac was unable to verify the game session." I have attempted basic troubleshooting such as logging out, restarting the computer, and updating all drivers as suggested by others facing the same problem. Following advice to verify game files, the outcome indicated "1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired." Unfortunately, despite these efforts, I am still unable to play CSGO due to this ongoing issue. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

I have another account that I can't remember the name of. I've purchased all the games on Amazon online, but I can't access them on Steam. I need help bringing them over to this account. The email I used for the old account is likely something like "[redacted]," but I can't access that email anymore. Being 75 years old, my memory isn't as reliable as it once was.

Did you know that Valve did not create Portal 3 yet? There are millions of fans eagerly awaiting its release even after all these years. We are all hopeful that Valve will finally work on it. There is a void without the next Portal installment. Please consider focusing on your older games instead of producing average quality ones. Your loyal fans would greatly appreciate it. How else can I spend my time? A petition could gather significant support. Please, Valve, create a sequel to this beloved game. LEGO Dimensions didn't quite fill the gap.

I think the Valve system typically gets it right when it comes to bans. With the influx of cheaters since the game went free, the system is working hard to keep the game fair. However, after playing my 7th and 8th game, I received a cooldown for my skill level to be reviewed. To my surprise, a few hours later, I received a ban message for being "Majorly Disruptive" in Overwatch. I can't think of any reason for this ban except possibly engaging in wallbanging due to encountering cheaters on the opposing team and making an accidental shot. I firmly believe this is a mistaken ban. I'm unsure how to appeal this ban and would appreciate more details to avoid facing a similar situation in the future. Starting over or rebuying prime status just to encounter the same issue and lose more money isn't ideal. Thank you.

Title: Dota 2 Account Ban Issue
I recently discovered my Dota 2 account, under the name miracleadmin, was blocked from matching. My behavior score stands at [redacted] out of [redacted], showing good conduct. I received a warning citing multiple reports as the cause, but I receive more commendations than reports. It mentioned not accepting or abandoning games, which doesn't align with my actions as my behavior score hasn't decreased. While I may have unknowingly broken other rules, I seek assistance in lifting the ban, especially for the reasons mentioned.
An update on October 12: Brian, not the usual robot Freda, requested clarification for peculiar matches. I explained the situation and await further feedback. Some defeats were due to teammates not wanting to win, a common occurrence even among professional players. I assure I didn't manipulate opponents' MMR intentionally. I accept consequences for my actions but urge for at least a lift on the permanent ban, which affects regular matches too.
As of October 14, I haven't received a response, possibly due to the weekend. Hoping for a prompt reply soon.

I received a message on Steam from someone using the name Jason L. Mithcell (SteamID64: [redacted][redacted]) accusing me of fraud and then making unauthorized changes to my account. This person removed my friends, altered my profile picture, name, and description, and is now demanding in-game items under threat of deleting my account. I urgently need assistance as my account is compromised. Thank you.

I purchased a [redacted]€ Steam card at Micromania in France, a popular video game store where I scratched off the code myself. However, upon entering it into my Steam wallet, it showed as already redeemed. When I visited the store, they explained it's a system bug and advised contacting Steam support, which I did by sending a photo of the code.
Steam replied stating they could not provide a replacement code and suggested reaching out to the seller, which seems unhelpful as the issue likely stems from an internal error on Steam's end. There must be a way to verify this error and rectify the situation as I am out [redacted]€ and still without a working code. Thank you for your assistance.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the current state of the Dota 2 ban system. This year, in [redacted], I have reached over [redacted] levels on my compendium. I have spent over [redacted] euros to purchase levels and enhance my compendium. Additionally, I have used real money to acquire all the Collector's Cache 1 and Cache 2 sets, as well as collecting sets from the commentator caches. In total, my account holds more than 8,[redacted] items, primarily Dota 2 items. I have accumulated over 10,[redacted] hours of gameplay in Dota 2 alone, not even counting my time in Dota 1 during the Garena era and before. As an old-school gamer, I am dedicated to playing. However, after winning a game as hard support Treant Protector, I received an unjust six months ban, prohibiting me from playing Dota 2 until May [redacted]. I feel undervalued as a customer and player. I urge you to lift the ban promptly, or I will have to cease playing Dota 2 and seek appreciation from other game developers. My Steam and Dota 2 profile name is: Avrorabg. Email address: [redacted]

I was banned from CSGO on my Steam account approximately two and a half years ago due to having a phone number tied to an account allegedly involved in cheating. In the past, I had multiple CSGO accounts, and I acknowledge it was my error to share passwords with close friends. Since CSGO is now free-to-play and it has been a considerable amount of time since my ban, I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of being unbanned on my primary Steam account to enjoy Valve games again, including CSGO.
I have realized the gravity of my previous actions and taken steps to secure all my accounts with two-step authentication to prevent such occurrences. I can be reached via the provided email for any further information or clarification needed.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter! Hope to receive a response soon!

I have been falsely banned from Overwatch. I understand that if a ban is inaccurate, it is typically automatically overturned by the servers. I have seen cases where bans were reversed in 1 to 2 days for others, but I have been waiting for 6 days, causing me increasing concern. I have invested over [redacted] euros in this game, and I feel disappointed by this treatment.
I am unsure of the maximum waiting time for a false ban to be lifted. I have been waiting for 6 days now. I am uncertain whether I should remain hopeful. My frustration grows as I wait for a resolution.

Valve/Steam has been unwilling to return my account because I can't recall the email from 10 years ago or the first CD key used. Due to a recent car accident, remembering these details is impossible for me. I've given them payment proofs, access to my registered phone number, and even my real ID to verify my billing address matches. Despite this, they continue to deny me access to my account.

I bought the Valve Index Kit on December 2nd. It was supposed to ship in 4-7 business days, but my order is still processing. The email confirmed my order and mentioned I would be notified once it ships. I need it before December 25th as it's a gift for someone who's visiting for two weeks. I invested a significant amount of money in this item, and the delay is quite frustrating.

I was recently banned from playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for allegedly griefing, a violation I did not commit. I suspect I was falsely reported by a website's bot. Steam support's responses have been generic, and I feel my case has not been thoroughly reviewed. Another player with a comparable situation had their ban lifted in just three days, thus I am seeking the same resolution for my account. I request a fair assessment of my circumstances so that the ban can be lifted promptly.

I would like to update my old email on my Steam account as the previous one got deleted. My new email is [redacted] Unfortunately, I can't access my account on the new computer as the old email no longer exists, and the linked phone number is also unavailable. Although I can still log in on my laptop, I'm unable to change the email or phone number without access to the old ones. I reached out to Steam support but am hesitant to wait nearly two weeks for a response to update the email.

Today, while using the Steam platform, someone pretending to be from Steam customer service contacted me with a false claim about my account being involved in fraudulent activity. They convinced me to provide access to my account to resolve the issue. However, once they gained access, they changed my password, disabled my mobile authentication, and demanded $50 to restore my account. I have since locked my credit card and submitted a support ticket to Steam for help. This experience has left me feeling scared and unsure of what steps to take next. I am aware that recovering access to my account through Steam customer service may take a long time. Given my situation of living alone due to a past injury, this incident has been particularly distressing for me. I can share the details of my support ticket if needed to aid in recovering my account. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

I encountered an issue with my Steam mobile app that caused it to suddenly reset. After reentering my account, I was unable to receive the Steam Guard code. I had to reset the app to send a code to my new phone number, resulting in my authenticator being deactivated temporarily. Consequently, the items I wanted to market have been on hold for 15 days. I understand the concept of market hold, but I kindly request its removal. The affected account belongs to LeinaD with a child as the profile picture and the associated email is [redacted] Please address this issue without providing automated explanations or apologies. Thank you.

I was playing peacefully when someone claimed they reported me by mistake thinking I was associated with a scam. They directed me to a person who purported to work at Valve, adding that they could help. After providing this individual with screenshots of chats and purchase history as requested, they deceived me and gained access to my account, altering the contact details and privacy settings. They insisted on needing Steam codes to unlock the account, which resulted in me unknowingly spending around $4k on Steam gift cards. This individual persistently demanded more cards, leaving me in a difficult situation. I am seeking assistance as this person now has control of my account, alongside my email address, phone number, and linked Visa information. I possess evidence, including the initial email linked to the account and screenshots of our interactions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Upon opening my Steam account, I received a notice stating that I have been banned from Dota 2 until February [redacted]. Despite following the provided steps for help, I was informed that there were no VAC or Steam bans on my account 1grandad. When attempting to access Dota 2, which I haven't played in several months, I encountered a message at the top of the screen indicating that certain tools attachments had been detected in my game and were banned by the developer. I am seeking clarification on what exactly was found and when, as my absence from the game dates back several months.
I have maintained this account for years, hosting game servers and playing various games without any prior bans for cheating. I value fair play and integrity in gaming and find the accusation of cheating/hacking/exploiting to be offensive. At 55 years old, I request an apology and the removal of this ban. My account is associated with the email provided below.
Sincerely,
A. Smith

Good evening,
I am writing to request a refund for a game that I recently purchased called Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. I bought the game during early access and enjoyed its stability and gameplay. However, since the release on the 13th of this month, the game has become unplayable due to issues with offline character saves and online play support. There are game-breaking bugs in the main storyline that hinder progress. I understand that it's past the two hours of playtime but within the 14-day period for refunds. My email linked to my Steam account is [redacted] Thank you for your assistance.
