Hello,
I traveled on your airline's flight TK626 from Lagos to Istanbul today. Upon arrival at 7:11 AM, I had a connecting flight, TK [redacted], to London Gatwick Airport. Unfortunately, I faced a very long queue for international transfer security, spending an hour waiting. When I informed a staff member about my imminent connecting flight, I was informed that everyone in the queue had a connecting flight.
Upon clearing security, I rushed to my gate but found it already closed. Despite speaking with various staff members and attempting to contact the manager, Mr. Mehmet at [redacted] identified as the supervisor, insisted I was at fault for missing the flight and demanded a penalty fare of €[redacted]. Despite my explanation and financial constraints, I was met with indifference and lack of assistance from the staff.
Several passengers shared similar experiences of poor customer service and vowed not to fly with Turkish Airlines again. I am reaching out for an investigation into my case and a refund of the €[redacted] penalty along with compensation for the inconvenience caused.
I await your response.
Best Regards,
Taiwo Adeyemi

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am encountering an issue with my air ticket reservation. I inadvertently booked two tickets for two different flights under the same passenger name, MR Mostafa Mohamed. However, the passenger will only be traveling on one flight destined from Kiev to Cairo Airport.
The details for the first flight are as follows:
Passenger: MOHAMED MOSTAFA MR
E-ticket: [redacted][redacted]
Departure: TEDELW
The details for the second flight are as follows:
Passenger: MOHAMED MOSTAFA MR
E-ticket: [redacted][redacted]
Departure: U2FBNA
I urgently seek your assistance to cancel the second flight as the traveler will definitely be utilizing the first ticket. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated to avoid any inconvenience.
Thank you in advance.

I arrived in Graz, Austria from JFK, NYC on September 5th, [redacted]. Unfortunately, my luggage was lost for over [redacted] hours with my wallet inside. Despite being told it would only take 24 hours to locate, I was left without basic necessities and became ill for 3 weeks. After filing a complaint and feeling unsatisfied, I contacted Turkish Airlines multiple times until a helpful representative assisted me. I was advised to wait 21 days for reimbursement, but 45 days later, I have received nothing. I am extremely frustrated and will consider legal action if necessary. Requesting a flight back to JFK, NYC due to the poor service provided by Turkish Airlines.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for assisting me in rebooking my ticket, as I faced difficulties with the process. On December 4th, [redacted], my flight #[redacted] was canceled by your airline due to an issue with the aircraft. This led to a challenging situation for me and my family, as we waited at Riyadh airport for over 26 hours without being provided an alternative flight to Montreal or accommodation.
Ultimately, I had to rearrange my travel plans to Toronto instead of Montreal. Therefore, I kindly request compensation according to your policy for the following:
- Reimbursement for the non-refundable hotel booking in Montreal for 8 days (invoice attached).
- Assistance with transportation back to Montreal.
- Compensation for the significant delay.
I am hopeful for a positive response from your end.
Sincerely,
Ahmad Alayoubi

I had a disappointing experience with my recent flight from Berlin to Mumbai via Istanbul on November 29, [redacted]. The Berlin flight was delayed by an hour, causing me to miss my connecting flight. Despite the airline staff initially providing me with a boarding pass for the next day and suggesting an e-visa that I could not obtain, after a 5-hour wait, I managed to convince them to give me a new route and boarding pass from Istanbul to Kathmandu to Mumbai. However, upon arrival in Kathmandu, my baggage was missing, and despite being assured it would be in Mumbai, it wasn't. After filing a complaint with Jet Airways, my luggage was eventually delivered to me after two days. Given this experience, as I have a return flight to Berlin on January 11, [redacted], I am looking to change my flight route and seek compensation for the inconvenience and loss of time and money. I am eager to avoid a similar situation.

Our flight from Edinburgh arrived late in Istanbul causing my husband and me to miss our scheduled flight to Ercan. The assistance from airport officials was minimal. After nearly two hours of searching, we were finally guided to a desk for the morning flight. We then had to buy visas at the emigration desk despite not wanting them. Following that, we were sent to a hotel with a long line and one officer informed us we would check out shortly after checking in.
We endured three hours in uncomfortable seats in a lounge. As frequent visitors to North Cyprus, we usually appreciate Turkish Airlines, but this experience was disappointing. No one even notified us that our flight had departed. Our departure from Edinburgh was on 4/11/18, flight number TK [redacted] at 16:35.
I seek reimbursement for the visas we purchased unnecessarily.

My flight from Edinburgh on the 2nd of December was cancelled and then rescheduled for the next morning at 7:15 am. After additional delays, we finally departed after midday. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a difficult encounter with a coach driver who was insensitive to my disability when boarding the bus back to the airport. This situation has left me feeling very unwell and in need of medical attention back in my home country. I am requesting that Turkish Airlines accommodate my situation by arranging the earliest possible flight back to Edinburgh, as I do not think I can wait until the originally scheduled return date of the 28th of December. The stress of these events has taken a toll on my well-being. My name is Sirrear Catherine Ali Mohammed, and I would appreciate a prompt response. Thank you.

I am seeking assistance from Turkish Airlines regarding an upcoming trip. My colleague and I are planning to transport two dogs from Kabul to the US as part of a rescue program. We are familiar with the fees and requirements for this endeavor. We intend to bring two dogs in the hold and one dog and a cat in the cabin. We anticipate significant publicity regarding this rescue mission, especially as the animals will be adopted from Newport, RI.
Before finalizing our early February flights, I have two inquiries: (1) Can we transport two dogs in the hold along with a dog and a cat in the cabin? (2) Is Turkish Airlines interested in collaborating with us to leverage the substantial publicity that this mission will generate?
Thank you,
Joan J.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently booked a return flight with TK Airlines from NBO to IST on 12/18/[redacted] and from IST to NBO on 1/13/[redacted]. My confirmation code is TRDZ6Q. I received a booking confirmation for Mr. Milaim Reshani. However, when I tried to make the payment on 12/10/[redacted] before the deadline, I encountered an error stating that there were no available seats in the selected class or a technical pricing issue. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter promptly so I can pay for my tickets and ensure a timely departure.

I am requesting a refund for the price difference between the ticket I purchased in March [redacted] for a round trip from Los Angeles to Iran and the ticket re-issued in November [redacted]. The March ticket cost $[redacted], but due to the unfortunate passing of my dear sister, I had to cancel it. The November ticket price is approximately $[redacted] less than the March ticket.
My family and I have been loyal customers of Turkish Airlines for the past two decades. As a loyal customer, I kindly ask for your understanding of my situation regarding the loss of my sister and request a refund for the price difference between the two tickets.
I look forward to continuing to fly with Turkish Airlines, as I have been doing happily for the past 20 years. I have attached a document from City of Hope Hospital confirming the loss of my sister, along with copies of the March [redacted] and November [redacted] tickets for your review.
Please feel free to contact me at the address and phone number provided. Please note that my ticket was issued through Atlas Travel.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I had a flight scheduled with Turkish Airlines departing at 6:55 a.m. on December 2, [redacted]. Despite arriving at the airport by 3:30 a.m., I unintentionally fell asleep in a cafe. Upon being woken up at 5:55 a.m., I rushed to the Turkish Airlines counter where I was informed it was closed. In a state of shock, I sought assistance at the airport's information counter, where another passenger in a similar situation was also present. Despite attempts to reach Turkish Airlines staff at the gate and dialogues with airline representatives, I was eventually escorted out of the airport at around 7:15 a.m. I had to purchase a new ticket and board a later flight.
I acknowledge my lateness as my responsibility; however, the lack of efficient communication between airport and airline staff greatly contributed to my missed flight. I urge for improvements to prevent such incidents in the future.
I am reaching out to express my concerns in hopes of positive changes being implemented. Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Jay V.

I am Parveen Ali from San Antonio, Texas, with a booking for a flight from Houston to Karachi on 11/18/[redacted] under Confirmation #TF5ECK, traveling with my husband Nawab Ali with Confirmation #RRTBG4. I am scheduled to return on 2/16/19, while my husband on 1/19/19. I had requested wheelchair assistance at Istanbul airport, but unfortunately, no wheelchair was provided despite heavy rain and no umbrellas being available. Due to recent toe nail surgery and knee issues, walking in wet conditions aggravated my health problems. Upon reaching Karachi, I had to seek medical attention and have been struggling to walk properly since. I need to alter my flight to return home with my husband on 1/19/19, preferably seated in the front, as I am anxious about traveling alone after the distressing experience at Istanbul Airport. I have been unable to reach Turkish Airline's Toll-Free number from Karachi to request these changes and ensure wheelchair assistance for a smoother journey.

Good afternoon, I am a Cuban doctor working in Africa, Niger, and I am contacting you to formalize a complaint regarding the luggage that was sent through your airline on December 10th. The luggage contained glass panels for a cabinet, which were well packed and labeled as fragile, yet arrived broken at José Martí International Airport in Havana. I also want to mention that I paid an equivalent of [redacted],[redacted] francs for the shipment at Niamey airport. The complaint was immediately filed at Havana airport, and the airline representative directed us to contact this forum to officially lodge this complaint.
That is all I have to communicate for your consideration and necessary attention. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I am inquiring about a flight change from Erbil to Skopje (TK305, TK1003) on 20-Feb-[redacted]. My arrival time has been delayed by 12 hours from the morning to the night, which is causing inconvenience as I have prior plans. I typically choose Turkish Airlines as my preferred option and am surprised by this change, especially when the old flight is still visible on your website. The early morning arrival was crucial for me and my family, and the delay will incur additional costs. I would like to understand the reason behind this change and kindly request to be accommodated on the old flight, if it remains available.
Thank you in advance.

Good evening, I am reaching out with an urgent request.
On the 23rd of November [redacted], I booked round-trip tickets for myself, Luca Baratello, and my girlfriend, Michela Boscolo, from Venice Marco Polo with a layover in Istanbul and arrival in Zanzibar on the 14th of December [redacted]. The return trip unfortunately poses a significant issue as we now need to depart not from Zanzibar but from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I failed to notice on Skyscanner that Dar es Salaam was specified as the departure city, as it is on the other side of the coast and only reachable by ferry or private flight (I had assumed it was Zanzibar due to entering it in the search). Our departure flights are on the 28th of December [redacted] at 9:35 from Dar es Salaam to Istanbul (flight number TK609) and on the 29th of December [redacted] at 12:45 from Istanbul to Venice Marco Polo (flight number TK1871).
I kindly ask if there is a possibility to be rebooked on a flight directly from Zanzibar to Italy (not necessarily Venice, although it would be our preferred destination), as both tickets have already been paid for.
Awaiting your response,
Best regards,
Luca Baratello

Good evening,
I am reaching out with an urgent issue.
On 23/11/[redacted], I booked round-trip tickets for myself (L. Baratello) and my girlfriend (M. Boscolo) from Venice Marco Polo with a layover in Istanbul and a final destination of Zanzibar (on 14/12/[redacted], already completed). Unfortunately, the return trip has become a major problem as we now need to depart from Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) instead of Zanzibar. This change was not initially noticed as I mistakenly thought Zanzibar was the closest city based on the search results from Skyscanner, but in reality, it is on the other side of the coast and only accessible by ferry or private flight.
Our departure flights are scheduled for 28/12/[redacted] at 9:35 from Dar es Salaam to Istanbul (flight TK609) and on 29/12/[redacted] at 12:45 from Istanbul to Venice Marco Polo (flight TK1871).
I kindly ask if there is a possibility to rearrange our flights for a direct route from Zanzibar to Italy (not necessarily Venice, although it is our preferred destination). Both tickets have already been paid for.
Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Luca Baratello

I had an unfortunate experience with the airport staff recently. I arrived at 4:45 pm and had to wait for a wheelchair due to my low vision until almost 6 pm without access to my medication, food, or drinks. Later, I was kept in the security room until my flight at 12:15 am, despite requests to go to the lounge for basic needs like freshening up, praying, eating, and taking medication being denied. This treatment was unfair and unjust, especially given my circumstances. I have had better assistance from other airlines in similar situations. I plan to take further action regarding this incident and can provide additional documentation if required. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

I am writing on behalf of two Thai travelers, Ms. S.B. and Mr. S.R., who were scheduled to travel from Bangkok to Frankfurt on Dec 21, [redacted], on flight TK69. Unfortunately, they are currently stranded at Istanbul airport as they were not allowed to board the flight to Frankfurt due to a misunderstanding regarding their Schengen visa issued by Switzerland. Despite presenting the visa and declaring their whole travel route to Turkish Airline staff at Bangkok counter check-in, they were denied boarding. Even after seeking assistance from multiple Turkish Airline counters at Istanbul airport, the issue remains unresolved. The travelers were pressured to purchase new tickets to Zurich on flight TK1909, without clarity on their luggage arrangements. This unfortunate situation arose from a misjudgment by the check-in staff, leaving the travelers feeling helpless in the face of a confusing and unhelpful system. I urge for a prompt resolution to this matter and request for genuine customer service support to address this issue effectively.

I was on flight TK1983 on December 24th from Los Angeles to Istanbul, which was delayed by 30 minutes leading to a change to flight TK1987. Upon arrival, I discovered my luggage was missing and filed a report with reference number LHRTK29303. An email received on December 25th at 4 AM indicated my luggage was found and scheduled to be on flight TK1987 that day, expected by 9 PM. Despite being initially informed my luggage arrived, subsequent calls revealed conflicting information. A call made on the morning of the 26th was promised a delivery update that never came. A second call that same day stated my luggage had not arrived. After a third call this morning, I was informed that the whereabouts of my luggage are unknown.

Dear Sir,
I am writing to address complaint case number [redacted]. I traveled from Cairo to LAX on the 24th of December for my vacation, but it was ruined when my largest luggage was severely damaged. The wheels, the part connecting them, and the wheel housing were broken beyond repair. I filed a complaint with all the necessary photos, but I am unable to provide the requested invoice for the luggage as I am currently on vacation. I estimate the value to be $[redacted].
I urgently require a prompt response, as I need to travel from LAX to SFO in five days and then back to Cairo on the 24th of January. This large luggage is essential for my trip, and I cannot accommodate my belongings in smaller bags. Your quick attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
