Intuit TurboTax has mistakenly entered additional income with a minus symbol in front of the amount. Typically, additional income should not have a minus symbol. This may result in discrepancies like those indicated between various lines on the tax form. When investigating further, I found that the code "UCE" provided by the state has multiple reasons associated with it, particularly related to unemployment compensation. The state representative mentioned it should be deducted from the state return and added to the federal return, explaining the unusual subtraction and addition shown in the program. In the federal additional income column, it reflects as "-10,[redacted]."

I'm Tyra Eagles. The person I lived with filed my taxes, gained access to my personal information, and had my tax refunds deposited into her account without my permission. She took my $2,[redacted] refund, and I'm now waiting for my July and August child tax payments. I'm struggling to reach a live person to report her or update my address to stop the direct deposits. Every time I attempt to verify my identity online, I face issues and can't confirm if the money has been deposited. The bank refuses to provide information as the account isn't mine, even though the refund was in my name. I need urgent assistance as the process was facilitated through TurboTax.

I am in the middle of preparing my [redacted] tax return and encountered an issue. I used your services for my [redacted] taxes but have forgotten my password and no longer have access to the email or phone number linked to my old account. Consequently, I am unable to verify my identity to recover my account and obtain the Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) needed to e-file this year’s return. I've created a new account with updated contact information but require the AGI from the previous return to proceed. Please assist me in resolving this dilemma. The email associated with my old account is [redacted], and my previous address is [redacted] Hansen Ave. #3, Burley, ID, [redacted]. Thank you for addressing this issue promptly.

I used Turbotax to file my taxes. I mentioned that I never received a stimulus check for unknown reasons. I was unemployed in [redacted] because of the pandemic and received PUA benefits. After I submitted my return before the deadline, it was rejected due to a deceased person having my social security number. I corrected the information and resubmitted my return twice with no response. I contacted the Department of Social Security, confirmed my number, and was advised to refile. They added a note for the IRS confirming my correct social security number. I need to resolve this issue to receive my tax refund and stimulus money. What should be my next steps?
Thank you,
Diane C.

Good morning,
I am reaching out regarding an issue with my TurboTax Free Edition Account. My [redacted] tax return was originally filed electronically through TurboTax on 02/12/[redacted], but it was rejected multiple times. I then sent a paper return. My state return was quickly processed, but my federal return is still pending. I attempted to amend my return but realized an error. Is there a way to remove the amended returns I never filed? I need to access the original information to track my refund on IRS.gov. I have used Free File before, but this year has been challenging. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Victoria J.

I received a 5071C letter from the IRS to verify my tax return. When I try to create an account on the IRS website, it says my information doesn't match what's on the tax return. I'm concerned about getting my tax return and the 3rd stimulus check. I want to resolve this quickly without any delays. I received the letter a couple of months after filing my taxes, and now I'm trying to avoid waiting longer due to potential errors in filling out the information or getting locked out. I've been checking "Where's My Refund" but haven't received any notice online to verify my identity. I'm reaching out to the IRS for assistance in understanding why there are delays this year, especially since I've never had this issue before despite the pandemic. This process is new to me because I have always filed my taxes independently and never had to verify my identity.

I need assistance with correcting my [redacted] amended tax return due to errors made last year. The Veterans Administration is contesting my income, providing inaccurate IRS forms related to stock trades, which I believe are incorrect as my 1099B forms show negative income. I am uncertain if I filed my [redacted] taxes and believe they need amending. Here is what I believe needs to be done: 1. Verify if my [redacted] tax return was filed. 2. Help in amending my tax return. 3. Proceed with the 1040X amendment. I am willing to pay for assistance and am capable of communication through chat due to being hard of hearing, utilizing captioning phones. I will attempt to seek help online to resolve this issue.

I am once again facing issues with receiving my tax refund through TurboTax. After filing, the refund supposedly went to another account. Despite seeking help for the past 3 months and being promised resolution by the 20th of this month, I am still without my refund. When contacting support, I was informed that I didn't have an account and was unable to speak to a supervisor. I simply want my refund back as this process has been needlessly complicated. TurboTax should acknowledge the error, rectify it, and ensure my refund reaches me as soon as possible.

I recently received assistance from a tax specialist for my [redacted] taxes, as my family moved from AR to OR. Initially, we owed OR some money, but the specialist advised us to claim a credit on our OR tax form, which seemed to resolve the issue. However, we now find ourselves owing OR money from that year along with penalty fees. According to your company's policy, TurboTax is responsible for penalties resulting from filing errors. Despite this, the company claims they cannot confirm if the software caused the mistake, putting the blame on human error from the tax specialist. Our transaction records should be on file to support our claim. We are facing significant penalties due to incorrect guidance from a TurboTax specialist and should be eligible for a refund based on company policy. If you are unable to assist, please direct me to the appropriate resource. Thank you for your help. - A.K.

I am on SSI disability and typically do not file tax returns. However, on March 4, [redacted], I filed a return to claim the recovery rebate credit for the $[redacted] stimulus payment I did not receive. I am confused about whether the missing payment was for me or my 5-year-old child. While I believe I am eligible for the child tax credit, I am not receiving it. The IRS mentioned that I did not mark the child tax credit, which I now understand was a mistake. Initially, filing requirements included earned income, and I was unaware of the change to no income requirements. I want to ensure my son receives the monthly advance child tax credit checks. Despite attempting to use the nonfilers tool, I encountered issues due to filing a return this year. I claimed my son as a dependent on the [redacted] return I filed on March 4, [redacted]. In [redacted], I used the nonfilers tool to receive the first stimulus payment for my son. I seek guidance on resolving this matter.

I recently filed a dispute about my funds, but encountered issues as the customer service representative did not inform me about the additional steps needed to resolve the matter. Despite being told my case was settled and that I would receive my money, I only found out I had a minimal balance on my account when I attempted to pay my overdue bills. The company's lack of clear communication and poor customer service have left me frustrated. I am being asked to send a letter now, which was never mentioned before. I urgently need assistance with this situation as I feel misled and ignored by the company. I have proof of my claims and seek a prompt resolution.

I submitted a dispute regarding my payment, and I was told it would be resolved in three days, with the refund showing up in 48 hours. Unfortunately, I ended up having only 17 cents on my account, despite being informed that my balance was $[redacted]. I faced difficulties reaching customer service, and when I finally did, I was asked to fill out a paper form that I couldn't print due to a lack of resources. It is frustrating that this requirement was not communicated earlier. I feel misled and mistreated throughout this process, and I urgently need my money back.

Dear Customer Service, I am reaching out regarding case number [redacted]69 and my phone number is [redacted]. I apologize for the lengthy message, but I have encountered an issue with a recent dispute. When I first filed, I was told it would be resolved in three days. However, I discovered later that there was a requirement to send in a document, which was not initially communicated to me. Despite receiving a notification that my funds were refunded, I encountered discrepancies with my account balance when attempting to pay bills. The customer service experience has been challenging and I feel misled. I am seeking urgent assistance to address this situation promptly. Thank you.

I recently tried to update my verification code due to a new phone number. When I followed the steps and entered my new number to receive the code, it still didn't allow me access, stating it couldn't identify me. This has been frustrating, especially since I've been working on an amended return for over three months. I've encountered issues with the stimulus amounts, and now I can't even access my account. Was the process intentionally made confusing with the addition of the option to have an expert handle taxes?

I need to wait to speak with a TurboTax representative regarding my unemployment benefits issue due to an incorrect audit. My Bank of America checking account ending in 56 was compromised by identity theft, leading to fraudulent charges and claims that caused the closure of both my business and personal accounts. Despite this, I continued to receive statements, unaware my account was disabled. This has been a complex and frustrating situation since January, and I've been a victim of hacking and fraudulent activity. Bank of America hasn't been helpful, as they even refunded money to the scammers who exploited my account. I have proof of all these incidents affecting my tax return and stimulus checks. Unfortunately, Bank of America is uncooperative and hangs up when I try to obtain my statements from the fraud department.

Hello, I recently tried e-filing through TurboTax and paid my taxes with American Express on the platform. The IRS rejected my return and advised me to mail it. However, my $9,[redacted].97 payment to the IRS is still pending with American Express.
I would like to know if TurboTax will proceed with payment to the IRS and bill American Express, or if the payment will be canceled due to the electronic filing issue. Please provide an update today.
Thanks,

I used Premier to file my [redacted] taxes electronically, but there was an issue with the IRS Pin requirements. I had to mail in my filing and got my refund. TurboTax keeps sending reminders to complete my filing even though I already did. I've tried reaching out numerous times but can't get through. I want to speak to someone who can resolve this. Also, I need to know if Premier tracks my Tax loss carry over and how it works. Please fix the tax ID count so I can e-file smoothly. Thank you.

I have been trying to contact customer service for days regarding unauthorized charges on my Turbo card. The hold times are long, and the features are not functioning correctly. I am unable to request a call back and the estimated wait times keep increasing. This resulted in more unauthorized transactions on my card. While I managed to cancel the card, I have not been able to address the fraudulent charges yet. This situation led to my rent payment being declined and incurring a fee. The service provided is unacceptable, and I am considering closing my account. From October 6 to November 4, I have noticed unauthorized charges from various sources like Google Colab and STCLIK. I urgently need assistance with this issue and hope for a prompt resolution.
