Hello, my name is Rhea Loraine Torrecampo, and I completed a J1 Visa internship in Miami Beach, Florida, USA from November [redacted] to [redacted]. I am currently back in the Philippines. I requested my W2 to be sent to my home address here. While filing my taxes on TurboTax, I had to upgrade to the "premium" version for $59.99. However, my e-file was rejected multiple times due to my closed US debit account. I was unaware that foreign bank accounts are not accepted for payment, so I couldn't proceed. I am hoping for a refund of the $69.99 I paid for the upgrade since I was unable to complete the tax process. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

I have noticed an error in TurboTax's calculation of the Out-of-State Credit for Virginia. Instead of using the correct value from Line 19 of Form [redacted], TurboTax is inputting the amount from Line 17. I have verified the accurate method in the Virginia instructions for Schedule OSC and with the Virginia State Tax Department. This issue happened last year as well, and I was notified of an adjustment by the state. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to input the correct values during the Step-by-Step process in TurboTax. I would like this issue resolved for next year. Any guidance on fixing this for the current year without directly overriding values in Schedule OSC would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased the Premier disc. When I tried to use it on my PC with Windows 10, the disc wouldn't work. I managed to successfully use the program on my Windows 7 laptop after a few tries. It took me most of the day to input all my information and save the return data. However, my laptop unexpectedly shut down and now requires a password that I never set up. I am unable to reset the password as I didn't create a reset disk. Consequently, I'm unable to access the laptop. I am considering downloading the program on my PC, but I'm unsure if I would need to purchase it again at $69.86. Your understanding and help in this matter would be appreciated. Thank you. Karen O.

There appears to be an issue with Turbotax regarding gross distributions for IRA and pensions. On the [redacted] form, the taxable portion is showing incorrectly. Despite trying to resolve the problem for a month, it seems many others are facing the same issue. Some have even mentioned that the IRS mistakenly adjusted their refund. To correct the problem, I manually adjusted the [redacted] Worksheet and now the [redacted] form looks accurate. Upon attempting to efile, Turbotax approved the filing after payment but then flagged it due to the manual override. As a result, I had to resort to paper filing. I am seeking a refund of $25 for the state efile since it was not processed as intended.

I have been a long-time user of Turbotax, but this year I encountered various issues with the accuracy of the returns it provided me and my wife. After submitting our initial returns to the CRA, I had to make amendments due to a late T3 slip. Turbotax initially calculated a different return for me, which resulted in a discrepancy from what CRA credited to my account. Additionally, after the reassessment, I realized that I would be receiving less of a return than Turbotax had initially predicted, and my wife's amount owed had changed as well. These inconsistencies have left me somewhat dissatisfied with Turbotax's performance this year, especially since our tax situations are not overly complex. Despite my frustrations, I acknowledge that Turbotax does streamline the tax filing process. However, I plan to scrutinize the results more closely in the future and explore alternative tax programs to ensure accuracy.

I reported a dispute to TurboTax Intuit Debit Card 10 days ago regarding unauthorized charges from Wish.com on March 13th and March 16th, [redacted], totaling $[redacted]. I have never shopped at Wish.com, and this charge is fraudulent. Despite trying to resolve this with Wish.com, they keep avoiding my questions and providing no clear answers. They insist on addressing each unauthorized item separately, even though the total charge was for $[redacted]. Wish.com claims that if they send items, I must pay for them, even if I never ordered anything. This violates consumer protection laws, and I demand my $[redacted] back immediately. I take great care of my card and never shared its details. My TurboTax Debit Card is designed to protect me from unauthorized charges. Not having access to my funds has put me in financial distress, and I urgently need my money refunded to the card ending in [redacted].

I forgot my password for TurboTax, and unfortunately, I can't find an option to reset it. The system is asking for my mobile number instead of providing a reset link, and I would prefer not to share my number. When I tried to use a four-digit code to log in, I encountered another obstacle during the password update process. I am a returning customer seeking assistance to reset my password securely without the old password requirement. My primary goal is to generate a new password for my TurboTax account.

I am concerned about the TurboTax Expert help I signed up for. Initially, when I spoke with Thomas, he advised me that reporting checking account interest under $10.00 without a [redacted] form was not necessary. However, he later corrected himself, which could have caused significant issues if I had already submitted my return. This made me question the quality of the "expert" advice provided. Additionally, I scheduled an appointment with another expert, but the earliest availability is in 3 days. I had expected a quicker response time based on TurboTax's description of the Expert Help feature. Waiting for three days does not seem like a worthwhile investment considering the extra money I paid for this service. Despite my positive experiences with TurboTax in the past, the expert assistance has been lacking.

I am looking to make changes to my [redacted] federal tax return that was filed and accepted on March 31. The TurboTax FAQ offers two options to amend the return: one for TurboTax Online users and the other for CD/Download software users. To start with the online method, the initial step is to sign in to TurboTax and select Tax Home on the left side of the screen. However, when I try to access "Your tax return & documents," it disappears quickly and I am unable to retrieve it. Regarding the CD/Download software method, I followed the instructions to duplicate my return. The fourth step is to search for "amend" inside the program and click the jump to link, but I am unable to locate the search function. Once I can navigate the starting process, I am prepared to make the necessary changes to my return but require guidance to kickstart the amendment process.

I need assistance with a Tax Deluxe purchase from TurboTax. I followed the prompts correctly but my returns were rejected due to using the wrong form. I actually need to use the 1040NR-EZ form as a non-resident alien, not the U.S. tax form. Therefore, I request a refund for the TurboTax Deluxe I paid for since I won't be using it. I will file my taxes elsewhere. My email is [redacted] and here are my order details: Order number: TTWC[redacted]1 Order date: April 2, [redacted] Total: $[redacted].54 Payment method: VISA * [redacted]

I registered my TurboTax Standard [redacted] Canada CD/Download on Jan 11, [redacted], and have the printout. Every time I restart the program to continue working on our tax returns, I get the screen asking me to register. I entered Register Online AGAIN, and I get the same registration page which I completed on January 11, [redacted]. I don't want my software to have a duplicate registration. Why is this happening, and how do I stop it? Will it prevent me from NETFILING because it isn't acknowledging that I already registered? - Maxine T.

I am using TurboTax (Windows Home and Business) for my California state taxes and have a question about reporting information related to my Health Savings Account (HSA). On the tax form, TurboTax requests three numbers, including interest, dividends, and net capital gains/losses. However, the form only provides contributions and the final fair market value. Looking at my December statement, I see a cumulative amount for "Change in Investment Value," which aligns with the fair market value on the tax form according to the formula (last year's final number + contributions - distributions + change_in_investment = fair_market_value). It seems like the information isn't straightforward since the tax form only gives an overall value. I'm unsure how to accurately input this data into TurboTax to meet the requirements.

On February 1, [redacted], I filed my taxes, and they were promptly accepted. Recently, I received a notice requiring me to contact a specific number within 30 days, which I did right away. After answering some verification questions, they confirmed my identity. Subsequently, I received a state tax notice stating I owed $[redacted] for vehicle tags dating back to [redacted] in my father's name. Despite my lack of involvement, the state deducted $[redacted] from my wages and will send the remaining amount to me. Now, I have received a letter regarding the verification of my income tax return, and I will provide further details once I receive more information.

While using TurboTax, I was prompted with an option to upgrade to the premium package for faster refund processing. I declined this offer due to not wanting to incur extra costs. After completing my taxes, I noticed additional charges deducted without clear explanation. Even though the premium package was declined, I was still charged for it. Throughout the process, there were no indications of these extra fees. TurboTax ended up charging me approximately $[redacted], despite being advertised as "always [redacted]% free." I qualified for a specific tax law that delayed payment until mid-February, making the premium package unnecessary. As a result, I believe I am owed a refund from TurboTax. However, I cannot provide an exact amount as the app no longer shows my detailed return.

I have completed my Aunt Joan's taxes, and now Intuit is requesting verification that I am Joan Jimenez. Unfortunately, I am unable to receive the security code sent to her email address as she no longer has access to it. Joan has moved out of state and cannot use her old email through Comcast anymore. I have tried editing her email address, but I am unable to erase the old one despite numerous attempts. Joan still has the same phone number and would prefer to receive a text message instead of an email. However, the technician I spoke to yesterday was unable to resolve this issue over the phone. We have already paid the TurboTax fees and are eager to print and mail her [redacted] taxes, but we have been stuck in this situation for a week, trying various solutions without success.

I utilized Turbo Tax Self-Employed for my tax filing this year and opted for additional features and protection. After successfully paying my federal balance due without issues, I was surprised to receive a letter from the IRS claiming I owe $5.14 due to a mistake on Schedule SE, regarding the self-employment tax. The letter mentioned a computation or transfer error, which is unexpected when using an online platform like Turbo Tax. I am concerned about the accuracy of my entire return and the assurances provided by Turbo Tax. I trust that Turbo Tax will address and correct this error promptly.

As a retired individual with a part-time writing business, I earned around $[redacted] in [redacted]. Upon inputting my data into Turbo Tax, I included medical insurance and long-term care premiums for both myself and my wife under the business section. However, I am concerned that due to my low business income, I may not receive the complete credit for these expenses. Should I re-enter the medical and long-term care premiums in the medical deductions section to ensure I receive proper credit for these costs? I don't want to risk double entry but I do want to maximize the deductions for the expenses incurred.

I encountered a frustrating issue with your software mistakenly identifying me as a business owner in California, which led to incorrect questions about my business when trying to file my tax return. Despite paying and attempting to e-file, I was unable to proceed due to these errors. I am disappointed and dismayed by the inability to correct this problem after investing time and money into the process. I hesitated to print and mail the return due to its inaccuracy. While I previously recommended your services, this experience has left me dissatisfied. The lack of an option to review and correct each section individually, along with a lengthy phone wait for assistance, has resulted in a negative outcome for me.

I recently used Turbo Tax for my tax preparation services to file both my federal and state returns. Towards the end of the process, I was informed that my returns would not be free due to an extra page needed, costing $[redacted].00 for both filings. Despite not being informed earlier during data entry, I ended up paying the unexpected charge. In retrospect, I found this practice unfair and disheartening. After sharing my experience with my daughters, they encouraged me to address the issue with Turbo Tax and even suggested reaching out to the Better Business Bureau, but I preferred contacting Turbo Tax first. Every year my tax situation remains the same and had always been free. I believe it would have been more ethical if Turbo Tax had notified me about the additional charge earlier instead of springing it right at the end. It felt like a strategy to catch users off guard after investing so much time entering details, ultimately leading them to reluctantly agree to the charges to avoid redoing the entire process with another company.

I have been using TurboTax for 8 years, relying on their service to retain my tax returns for me. Tonight, as I was preparing my [redacted] taxes, I noticed they had listed my [redacted] income incorrectly. To my surprise, when I tried to access my previous returns for reference, I was prompted to pay a substantial fee. I am unsettled by this sudden charge to view my own tax documents and refuse to pay for a service that was once complimentary. I need to review my past returns to address the issue with my [redacted] filing. TurboTax should rectify this situation promptly. I am eager to resolve why the incorrect [redacted] income is appearing on my current return. I refuse to pay to view my own documents and expect TurboTax to handle this matter immediately. Best, Charlotte
