I have submitted my taxes by mail this year due to a dependent I claimed last year. I had to fill out form [redacted] and pay $[redacted]. However, I am unsure why I haven't received my refund yet and why the payment was necessary. Despite multiple attempts to contact the IRS, I have been unable to speak with anyone. I mailed the required form [redacted] and paid $[redacted], but I'm still awaiting clarification on my refund status. Moreover, I claimed two Earned Income Credits (EIC) for my children, but I did not receive the expected $2,[redacted] in the refund. My taxes were mailed in February [redacted], and I am anxious to receive an update. I never received the mail correspondence and had to check online for any updates. I would appreciate any assistance in understanding the reasons behind the $[redacted] payment.

We submitted our tax returns on February 23, [redacted] and are still waiting for our refund. Jackson & Hewitt handled our taxes, and despite us paying them over $[redacted].00, they are unable to provide any useful information besides advising us to contact the IRS as the refund is only showing as 'pending'. When checking the "refund status" on the IRS website, it simply states that the expected date will be provided later. I am seeking an estimated time of arrival (ETA) because the IRS has deadlines and would not require me to wait over 4 months if the situation was reversed. I paid for an expedited refund with the expectation of receiving it within 21 days. It would be appreciated if someone could call and explain why this is taking so long and when we can anticipate receiving it. We opted for direct deposit to expedite the process. Thank you in advance.

I am inquiring about the status of my stimulus check that was supposed to be deposited on May 13th. Despite providing my bank account information, the funds have not shown up in my account. I rely on SSI and make regular child support payments each month. Additionally, I received a notification stating that a package was delivered to me, but I did not receive it. I am concerned about the whereabouts of both the stimulus payment and the undelivered package.

I am on SSI and disability and I faithfully pay child support every month as court-ordered. I am concerned about the status of my stimulus check. I received a letter from the IRS website indicating it was deposited into my account on May 13th, but it has not shown up. I contacted my bank, and they have no record of the deposit. Then, on May 29th, I received another letter stating that the check was issued. I would like to know what happened to my stimulus check.

I overpaid my estimated tax payments, with $1,[redacted] made through PERS withholding. My accountant correctly credited me for this amount, but overlooked an additional $[redacted] I paid directly to the United States Treasury. Despite providing a copy of the canceled check three times (June 17, [redacted], check #[redacted] cleared on June 22, [redacted]), my accountant failed to credit me for the $[redacted] payment. The IRS shows a total payment of $2,[redacted], but my accountant only reported $1,[redacted]. Since I didn't owe any taxes for [redacted], I am entitled to a refund of $1,[redacted], which includes the uncredited $[redacted]. I need this refund promptly as I am about to make another estimated tax payment for [redacted] due to capital gains. Kindly address this error and ensure I receive the correct refund amount. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I received letter 4464C from the IRS in February [redacted]. I had to amend my return, which I did and mailed it on March 4, [redacted]. They mentioned waiting for 60 days, but then Covid-19 hit. I haven't received my return or stimulus payment. I can't reach anyone for help. I want to speak to a live person or get specific answers for my situation, not just redirected to a general website. I hope they can assist me directly.

My name is C.D. Spivey. I recently received a $[redacted] Stimulus check. I believe it was sent to me by mistake, as my nephew, L.D. Spivey, was denied a check. He was mistakenly disqualified for making over 6 figures in [redacted], which is inaccurate. I have consistently earned over 6 figures for the past 9 years. A check of my tax records with my SSN should confirm this. I am also repaying the IRS $30,[redacted], further proving there was a mix-up between us. I haven't cashed the $[redacted] check and am willing to return it if necessary. I want to rectify this for my nephew's benefit as he is being unfairly penalized due to this confusion. Please contact me via email or at [redacted], [redacted], or [redacted] at your earliest convenience.

We submitted our tax return electronically on Jan 29th. Back in Feb [redacted], we had a mail audit and sent the requested documents on Feb 19, [redacted]. Despite our efforts, we were informed on March 11 that the documents were still unopened. We faxed them afterward but have yet to receive any updates. It's frustrating that we can't reach anyone to clarify the situation. The audit being handled in Austin, TX, instead of our home state of MN adds to our confusion. Attempts to contact the IRS have been unsuccessful as there's no live person available. The status message hasn't changed since Feb [redacted]. We'd appreciate it if someone from the IRS could contact us at [redacted] or provide a reachable number. Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Brian & RoxAnn B.

I am Timothy N. Turnbull. My CPA filed my refund electronically in early March [redacted]. It was meant to be directly deposited into my bank account, as done in the past 2 years. Unfortunately, the address provided was incorrect, resulting in the refund being mailed instead. After mailing the [redacted] change of address form in late March, the IRS still shows no update on my refund status. The IRS requires my new address, but I have had no success in resolving this matter. I seek assistance in updating my address and ensuring my tax refund is auto deposited with the correct bank information they already possess. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Timothy N.

On 3/24/[redacted], we submitted our [redacted] tax return online and opted for a direct deposit refund to our personal Chase checking account. We were told it would take less than 3 weeks to receive the refund if we followed the instructions. Despite following all guidelines, the only update we see on the IRS "Track My Refund" portal after 16 weeks is that our return is being processed. During this time, we have been staying in a costly motel and are running out of funds. The $12,[redacted] refund we are waiting for is from prepayments made as part of a 5-year offer in compromise. We were assured that if we had no taxable income, these prepayments would be refunded promptly. My wife's health is declining, and my military disability status is still pending after 50 years of requests. As a 72-year-old combat veteran surviving on Social Security, we urgently need the $12,[redacted] refund deposited and disability income reinstated. Trust in the government is crucial for us.

I e-filed my taxes and discovered that a part of my refund was withheld due to an HSA issue from previous years. It turns out my employer transferred accounts between banks, causing a mistaken balance. I possess a letter from my employer confirming this mistake. I need guidance on rectifying this situation and potentially reclaiming the funds taken. How can I correct this error and possibly recover the withheld amount?

I recently checked the status of our economic stimulus payment on the IRS website. According to the information provided, the payment was mailed to the address listed on our [redacted] tax return, which is no longer our current address. Our new address is now [redacted] E. Lexington Ave. in Danville, KY, and although I have submitted a change of address form, the website indicates that they are not currently accepting new address changes. I am concerned about ensuring the payment is sent to our current address. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good afternoon, my name is Rene Almarales. I am reaching out as I submitted an IRS Amendment a month ago to resolve an issue where my wife received points that should have been attributed to me. It is concerning to see a significant decrease in my retirement benefits after working for 12 years without clarity on the total years accounted for in my retirement calculation. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, I am unable to visit the office in person. Despite not being contacted after my initial IRS appointment or receiving a response to my recent Amendment submission, I am seeking guidance on an alternate address for resubmitting these documents. Your prompt assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

A few weeks ago, I contacted the IRS to inquire about my stimulus check, scheduled to be sent out by May 22nd. After not receiving anything until June 8th, I got a letter from President Trump confirming an Economic Impact Payment of $2,[redacted]. However, there was no check or debit card included. The letter was dated May 22nd, coinciding with the IRS information, but the delay in receiving it seemed unusually long. Where could the payment be?

I filed my [redacted] tax return in February and received a 5071C letter from the IRS requesting identity verification. Despite multiple attempts online and by phone, I can't reach anyone due to the pandemic. The IRS office in Huntsville, AL is closed, preventing me from resolving this in person. This is holding up my tax return and stimulus payment. I lack an active loan or credit card as requested online. I only have an old auto loan from [redacted], but it's inactive now. It's frustrating not being able to prove my identity to the IRS. Any advice or guidance on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

I am seeking assistance regarding a tax issue involving my son's stimulus check. I am on disability and hadn't filed taxes for 9 years until I did for [redacted] to provide information to the IRS for the stimulus payment. My 14-year-old son, Anthony, lives with me under my full custody, as we have no contact with his father. However, when I checked on my son's stimulus payment status, the IRS claimed that someone else had already received it by claiming him on their taxes. It seems likely that his father wrongly claimed my son without my knowledge. I have proof of custody through school records, IEP meeting documents, and a court order. I am unsure of how to report this tax fraud to the IRS and would appreciate guidance on the next steps to take.

I am raising my grandson since my daughter passed away. I have been claiming him on my taxes annually. His father rarely visits, maybe twice a year. I suspect he claimed our grandson on his stimulus check because he received $[redacted] instead of the correct amount of $[redacted] plus $[redacted] for each child. I am currently filing for my stimulus check and want to make sure I receive the $[redacted] for my grandson, as his father should not be entitled to that money. Here are my grandson's details: Jordan E. Lee, born May 28, [redacted], with Social Security Number [redacted]-37-[redacted], living at [redacted] Overlook Drive, Cross Junction, VA. I request assistance in identifying if his Social Security number has been used so I can proceed with my stimulus application without any issues. Thank you, Mrs. Lee, at [redacted].
