My husband and I were victims of a tax scam involving Jackson Hewitt. A young lady had access to my [redacted] tax information, W2, and bank documents during an estimate appointment on March 17. Despite not proceeding with Jackson Hewitt, someone had already filed our taxes on March 17, [redacted]. We followed the required steps by submitting an affidavit with our filing to H&R Block on March 19. The IRS website showed our refund check was sent on April 3, but we didn't receive it due to a mismatched address. The main IRS customer service line was unavailable due to Covid-19, so we contacted a local IRS office, but they couldn't provide much help. We suspect the scammer also took our stimulus checks. We're in need of assistance to recover our funds during these difficult times.

I recently sent my federal tax return via certified mail to the Kansas City IRS office using the H&R Block software and Form [redacted]-SR. The return was sent in an 8x12 manila envelope, and the certified mail receipt confirms receipt on February 25th. I have received my stimulus check via direct deposit but have not yet received my $[redacted] refund. When I input my SSN and refund amount on the [redacted] number for the IRS office, it says "not found." My SSN is [redacted]-54-[redacted], and my name on the return is Shirley A. Harwell. I am located in Tulsa, OK. I am concerned that my paper return might have been lost and wonder if I should refile electronically. I sent a certified letter requesting a receipt to be sent back over a week ago but have not heard back from the IRS office. I need clarity on what steps to take next, as Social Security requires a copy of my filed return each year or they may hold my check until it's received.

As a foster parent in the process of adopting a child who was previously claimed by another foster parent for taxes, I am seeking guidance on how to detach the child's Social Security number from their previous caregiver and attach it to myself. The child will officially join my family through adoption at the end of May or around June 1. Despite the stimulus money being received by the previous caregiver, I believe it rightfully belongs to the child. I would like to ensure that any additional funds also benefit the child. Thank you.

I need assistance understanding why I keep receiving the error message "The confirmation code you entered does not match, Please try again" for the last three days when I attempt to set up my IRS account. Despite trying multiple codes sent to me by the IRS, I am still unable to proceed. This situation has caused significant frustration since I was informed that I missed the deadline because of repeated unsuccessful attempts in the days leading up to the deadline. I hope to speak with a knowledgeable individual, preferably in technology, who can clarify this issue for me.

I have not filed taxes for over five years, with no other source of income during that time. Unfortunately, my fiance, who supported me, passed away last year in a work-related incident, and no compensation was received. In [redacted], I began receiving SSDI. I am now required to provide the IRS with my direct deposit details and social security number. I am in urgent need of assistance from someone at the IRS.

After gaining custody of my two boys and their younger brother to prevent him from entering a shelter, as advised by the Department of Children and Families, I find myself in financial distress due to the parents not fulfilling their responsibilities. Despite being a [redacted]% disabled veteran, I am struggling as the mother attempted to claim child support, impacting my eligibility for food assistance since November. The father boasts about his income in a group chat with DCF representatives while I care for their child. This unjust situation has caused me to fall behind on bills and almost face eviction. I have evidence of their financial deceit and am considering reporting them for fraud as I bear the financial and emotional burden of caring for these children without proper support.

I have been eagerly waiting for my tax refund, which seems to have been delayed. I contacted the office in January/February and was informed that some information was missing. After providing the necessary details and confirming the correct destination, I patiently waited for 8 weeks as advised. Despite regular check-ins, the refund has not been processed, even a week past the anticipated timeline. I would appreciate assistance in understanding the cause of this delay.

I'm Michael Jones, and I'm experiencing an issue with my stimulus payment. When I use the "Get My Payment" option on the IRS website, it indicates that my payment was directly deposited into my account. However, I have not received the funds. After contacting my bank, Sutton Bank, they mentioned that the IRS has not sent the funds for the days between April 29th and April 30th, and only the IRS can resolve this matter. I'm confused why it shows as deposited when it wasn't. Please assist me.

I submitted my request for the economic impact payment on April 13 or 14 using the free fillable form provided on the website. Everything was confirmed, but I am still waiting for the deposit to show up in my bank account. I see that others who filed after me have already received their payments. Since I filed as a single individual and currently have no income coming in, I am anxious about what could be causing the delay. I'm hoping the IRS can shed some light on the situation. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Sincerely, J. Martinez.

I have been receiving Social Security Disability for several years through direct deposit. I have been waiting patiently but haven't received my payment yet. Most people on SSI got their money last Wednesday, but my status is still showing as unavailable on the website. I provided my bank details online as requested a week ago but haven't seen any changes. I'm feeling lost on what to do next and struggling to get assistance since I am on a fixed income and really need this support. I'm not comfortable with computers and have had no luck reaching anyone on the phone. My Social Security Number is [redacted]10, address [redacted] Pleasant Grove Rd, Shipman, Illinois, [redacted], born on 07/07/[redacted]. If you call (+[redacted]5), please leave a message as I am hard of hearing.

I would like to speak with a live human representative at the IRS. In [redacted], my income was less than $12,[redacted], possibly under $1,[redacted] for the year. Despite using the non-filers tool on the IRS website as advised by a Jackson Hewitt representative, I have not received the first stimulus check. My last tax filing was in [redacted] with Jackson Hewitt in North Carolina, and my address remains the same. I do not have direct deposit but provided my details, including a reloadable prepaid Chime card with routing number, on the non-filers tool. I am unsure if my payment will be mailed or loaded onto the card. When checking the IRS website for payment status, it says it is unavailable due to insufficient information. I am eligible for the payment as a US citizen with a valid social security number, and I have low to no income. I appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

I am Paula Catherine Brennan, born on 09/27/[redacted]. I am feeling extremely confused. I provided my direct deposit details on H&R Block mistakenly, thinking I needed to file for a tax refund. I later realized I didn't work at all last year, making it unnecessary for me to file. I specifically chose H&R Block to assist with my stimulus payment. However, when I checked the IRS website, it indicated a paper check was scheduled for May 18th, despite my direct deposit information being added. As of May 21st, I have not received any payment, be it direct deposit or paper check. I have been unable to reach the IRS via phone and seek clarity on whether the check was sent on May 18th and when I can expect it. Additionally, I am concerned about a child support case involving the father of my daughter, who is in arrears and likely receiving his stimulus check. I am uncertain about when these checks started being issued. I urgently need this information for my family's well-being during the pandemic.

I am seeking guidance on how to address someone incorrectly claiming me as a dependent on their taxes. The individual in question, Jody Wells, born on February 6, [redacted], with the Social Security number [redacted]43, resides in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Contrary to his filing, I am Donna Whiddon, born on June 22, [redacted], with the Social Security number [redacted]78, and I did not qualify as a dependent nor live with him for the entire year. This erroneous claim has led to my stimulus application being denied. It is important to me to rectify this situation, as it was done without my consent and impacts my ability to receive the necessary benefits. I am seeking advice on the appropriate steps to take in reporting this matter and ensuring a resolution so that I may file for my stimulus relief. Thank you for your assistance in addressing this matter.

I have been waiting for my stimulus check for nearly four weeks now. Despite being told that I qualify for it, it was sent to my old address and mistakenly deposited into my previous bank account associated with an Emerald Card from H&R Block. I have been informed that it is now on hold until I receive a CP13 form, but the department that handles that form is currently closed. As a single parent with a disabled child, I am struggling to make ends meet. I was on the phone for hours yesterday trying to resolve this issue, only to be directed to the wrong department. My name is April Grey, and any guidance on what steps to take next would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to reach out to inquire about my stimulus payment that was supposed to be deposited into my bank account on April 15th. The Get My Payment tool is directing me to call my bank or wait for a letter for more details. I have followed both instructions, received the letter confirming the direct deposit, and checked with my bank which has no record of receiving any payment. I filed my taxes with the same bank account information in February, so it should be correct. Despite all this, I have not received the stimulus payment as stated.

I am trying to locate my tax refund. I mailed my return via UPS on January 27, and it was supposed to arrive on the 30th. Normally, I file my taxes online, but this time I didn't have my [redacted] adjusted gross income to verify my identity. I had the information on my phone, but it got damaged, so I printed out what TurboTax had prepared for me and signed and mailed it without including my W-2. In late March or early April, I received a letter requesting my W-2 to show tax withheld, which I promptly sent via UPS the same day it arrived. However, when I check the IRS website, it still shows "processing." This delay has already caused issues with my children's stimulus checks. I carried one child on last year's return and both this year, but because my return hasn't been processed yet, I am missing out on the $[redacted] for each child. I want to ensure my return is processed promptly to avoid missing out on potential future stimulus payments.

I attempted to file my taxes using TurboTax and made a payment. Unsure if it went through, I filed again with TurboTax, triggering a message stating my social security number had been utilized too many times and could not be processed. After seeing complaints about TurboTax, I tried using Credit Karma's free filing service, but encountered the same issue of already having filed with my social security number. I am uncertain about the form that was filed. My main concern is completing my [redacted]-A form. Additionally, I mistakenly provided my bank details on the IRS portal instead of my [redacted] information. I am presently unemployed due to the virus, struggling financially, and recently applied for unemployment benefits. I am seeking guidance on rectifying these issues to receive my stimulus payment and correct my [redacted] tax return, as I did not file in [redacted]. Thank you.

I'm facing an issue not being able to contact anyone due to the current situation with Covid-19. The IRS has halted processing paper returns but managed to process stimulus payments. I recently got my stimulus payment, yet my tax return, which is more crucial for my family, is still pending. I sent it at the beginning of March, and now it's nearly June with no progress on my return. As a taxpayer, I feel let down by our government's inefficiency. I urgently need clarity on the status of my tax return to support my struggling family. Timely tax refunds are an essential expectation after faithfully paying taxes for years. I wish to speak with a human representative for some much-needed answers.

I submitted a certified letter to the Fresno, California office on April 7, [redacted]. It was confirmed received on April 9, [redacted]. In the letter, I updated my marital status to separated and divorcing, provided my new address, and requested my stimulus funds be deposited into my bank account linked to my disability payments. Despite this, the IRS did not update my details, resulting in my funds being sent to my soon-to-be ex-wife, who has retained them. I am seeking to have my information corrected, my COVID-19 stimulus funds directed to my specified account, and guidance on filing a complaint against Tamara Renee Adams for withholding my stimulus funds. For reference, here are my details: Name: Shane Douglas Adams Address: 1919b 12th Street, Los Osos, CA, [redacted] Bank: Sesloc Federal Credit Union Routing Number: [redacted], Account Number: [redacted] I possess relevant documentation supporting my claims that can be shared via email. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Shane Adams

After being separated for a decade and working on finalizing the divorce through a lawyer, we discovered discrepancies in our taxes. In [redacted], my husband had to amend his tax return due to additional income, resulting in him owing the IRS $17,[redacted] with penalties. Last year, my tax refund was seized to cover his debt, which he reimbursed me for. However, the issue remains unresolved, and I am concerned about my upcoming [redacted] tax filing. I aim to prevent my refund from being taken again. Should I pursue innocent spouse relief? Additionally, I require a copy of my husband's amended tax return for [redacted] to clarify his status. Therefore, my queries are as follows: 1. How can I submit my taxes without risking my refund? Shall I apply for innocent spouse relief? 2. Can I obtain a copy of the amended tax return for Ronald A. for [redacted]/[redacted]?
