I opened a checking account with TCF Bank around 7 or 8 months ago. Unfortunately, my purse was stolen, which had all my essential items, including my ID and account number. I am at a loss as I can't access my own money, and it's causing me distress as my unemployment benefits, my only income, go into that account. I am in urgent need of assistance. I have been on hold for 25 minutes, and it seems like it will be an hour before I speak to a representative. I have spent hours on the phone for months about my recurring payments issue on your app. Each customer service representative I spoke to was unable to resolve it and claimed to have filed trouble tickets. The payments I wanted to stop went through, and they were sent much earlier than expected, causing further inconvenience. Despite numerous trouble tickets over months, nothing has been fixed, and I never received a callback as requested. When I tried to contact the main number, I waited an hour to speak to a new person who couldn't address the ongoing issues. It's been frustrating dealing with this problem since April, and the account remains messed up despite all the time and effort I have invested.

I am interested in opening a checking account with your bank. Is it true that I won't be declined as long as I don't owe the bank money? I recently fell victim to a job scam where I bought hundreds of dollars in gift cards and gave fraudsters access to my account, thinking it was for payment processing. They deposited fake checks, causing a negative balance and leading to Chase closing my account. Can I still apply for an account with your bank?

I am seeking assistance regarding an issue with my TCF account. Previously, an external account was linked to my TCF account to fund my mortgage and car loans. Recently, I noticed that this linked account is no longer active, causing my loans to go unpaid. Despite attempting to contact various support numbers for help, I have not been able to resolve the issue. I am unsure if this is a new policy implemented during the transition period. I reside in Italy and hold an account with TCF Bank, previously originated at Chemical Bank. With the transition to Huntington Bank due to a merger, I attempted to enroll digitally to ensure smooth data transfer and future online access at Huntington. However, I encountered an issue during enrollment when inputting my phone number. The system only accepts US phone numbers with area codes, which differ from Italian phone numbers. I have become stuck in the enrollment process. Is there a solution to work around this issue?

I contacted them after noticing fraudulent charges on my account. The representative was helpful and resolved the issues. I then sent certified letters to the company but they somehow lost all the documents. Thankfully, I had sent them via priority mail. After the call, my account showed a positive balance of $[redacted]. I followed up a few days later, but unfortunately, no one was willing to assist me in identifying the culprit of the unauthorized transactions. Consequently, my account is now $[redacted] in the negative. It's been since July, and I still haven't received my IRS stimulus payments or child support. I believe the lack of TCF Banks in Arizona is causing delays. If they are exiting the state, I would recommend finding an alternative bank to avoid similar issues in the future.

I recently fell victim to a scam after receiving an email and contacting the provided phone number. The scammer claimed to have deposited $[redacted] into my TCF checking account, showing me a fabricated screen to support the claim. Despite being unable to purchase gift cards as requested, no transactions appeared in my account when my daughter checked. Realizing the scam, I shut down my computer and contacted TCF to report the fraud on Sat9/25/[redacted]. I spoke with Jerry (ID: [redacted]) who requested further details via email. Although it took a while to reconnect after re-obtaining access to my email, my call to 1-[redacted] today ended abruptly after explaining the situation. It concerns me that scammers could display false information on my screen, and I hope this can be avoided in the future.

I have been trying for over a month to correct errors with my accounts but have had no luck reaching anyone. Initially, I was under the impression everything was fine with a $13.00 balance, and then I received a card (4[redacted] 1[redacted] - code [redacted]) which caused more issues. The account number I've been trying to fix is [redacted]. Despite my efforts, I am consistently being charged for insurance, other fees, and overdrafts. I have requested that my insurance bills be charged to a different account, not the one in question. A visit to the bank on 12th & Roosevelt led to further confusion. I am reaching out for assistance regarding updating my bank information on the Albert savings app. My previous bank account with TCF Bank no longer exists as it transitioned to Alaska Federal Credit Union. I am unable to link my new account due to a credit balance on my Albert account, requiring me to make a withdrawal first. The challenge lies in the closed TCF account preventing me from withdrawing the funds. To proceed, Albert app needs proof of withdrawal from the closed account on a bank statement to issue a check. Unfortunately, the e-statements for my TCF account are inaccessible since the bank transition and they can only be retrieved via mail. Despite repeated requests to TCF for the statements over two years, even after updating my address with them and USPS, I have not received them. I've been working with Albert app, who require this documentation to assist me. I'm aware a physical bank statement must be mailed, hence my formal written request for the document. I appreciate your attention to this matter and your help in reaching a resolution. Thank you.
