I believe my Steam account has been compromised as I noticed my name was changed without my permission. Following the change, I received a message from someone claiming to be "Assistant#23" stating that my account, referred to as mysticmarrow117, is due to be banned for violations. The message lists several restrictions I am supposedly facing, including being unable to trade, send invitations, or interact in various ways with the Steam community. The message also urges me to transfer my skins to another account to avoid losing them permanently. It further states that my account will remain restricted until December 30, [redacted]. This incident has caused concern among my friends and they suspect the involvement of a hacker. I seek advice on the validity of this warning and would appreciate any assistance in addressing this issue.

Hi there, I recently downloaded Planet Zoo on Steam and requested a refund. It has been over 48 hours, and I have yet to receive my refund. My Steam account is Kyokaouwu. I played the game for only 2 hours and found that it is not to my liking. I used iDEAL (ING) to make the payment. Despite receiving an email stating that the refund process would not exceed 48 hours, the issue remains unresolved. I made the purchase on December 26th, and it is now December 30th. If the refund is not processed within 14 days, I risk losing the opportunity to get my money back. This situation results in me essentially losing money for a game I do not enjoy or play. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide on this matter. Thank you, LvdK

I purchased Code Vein on the 23rd of this month, and it was running smoothly until the day after Christmas. Now, I am unable to play the game due to an issue I suspect is with my account's connection to it. Previously, despite occasional crashes, the game functioned well. I could navigate the map, complete objectives, and explore freely. However, currently, I can't even access the title screen. Upon starting the game, it attempts to load the main menu but then crashes. Interestingly, this issue does not occur when my friend plays Code Vein on my computer using his account. It only crashes when I try to play on my account. I have already reached out to Bandai Namco's customer support, but unfortunately, they were unable to assist me.

I am seeking a refund for my digital copy of Jump Force. I have only played the game for 2 hours, with the remaining 2 running in the background as I watched YouTube videos on fixing bugs and glitches. My gameplay has been limited to offline mode; I have not completed the game. I am disappointed with the game's performance on my laptop, preventing me from enjoying the HD experience. I can provide screenshots as evidence if required. Please review my request for a refund so I can reallocate the funds to purchase other games. Thank you for your assistance!

I intended to gift my friends twenty USD for Christmas, so I activated my Steam account and added the amount to use for their presents. However, when I made the purchases, the funds were taken from my wallet instead of my Steam balance. As a result, I now have twenty dollars in my Steam account, even though I do not own a PC or use Steam. Could you please assist me in transferring the money from my Steam account back to my bank account? Thank you.

I attempted to exchange my gift card for bitcoin with a vendor on Paxful. However, after providing the card information, I found out it had already been used. I had only recently purchased the card and ensured no one else had access to it before using it. I am puzzled as to how this could happen. I would appreciate receiving a detailed report of all the activity related to the card on the night it was compromised. I prefer not to disclose sensitive information here but I can share my email for further communication. Thank you.

While visiting the Steam homepage, I clicked on a Borderlands 2 link to redeem shift codes, which led me to a page where I unintentionally downloaded spyware onto my computer. The programs 'Premier Opinion' and Chromium caused issues and were difficult to remove. I am confused about why this occurred. It doesn't seem like something Steam would do. Just wanted to share my experience and seek some clarification.

This morning, while playing Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, I noticed that my Steam account was displaying a logo instead of my name and my name was changed to a string of numbers: [redacted][redacted]. I also saw that my bio had been altered with a warning message about suspicious activity and the threat of my account being blocked. The message included advice on transferring valuable skins to a secure account or friend within one hour to prevent losing them. The warning mentioned possible violations of the Steam subscriber agreement and laws. I am concerned about potentially losing my account, which I have invested in recently. I have not received any email notification from Steam regarding this issue, so I am seeking assistance to understand and address this situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my Steam account with the username "tamajin898" has been compromised. I have games such as "Arc," "Arc Survival," and "7 Days to Die" on my account. The email associated with this account is [redacted] I have used PayPal with the same email address and linked a Visa card ending in -[redacted] (additional numbers available upon request). Unauthorized purchases were attempted using my PayPal through this account. I am willing to provide identification to reclaim my profile. What steps should I take to regain access to my account? Thank you.

My account was hacked, and I've locked my Steam account. The hacker managed to obtain my 2-step authentication code on their device, and now I need to completely disable the 2-step authentication code to prevent this from happening again. However, to prove ownership of the account, I am required to use a credit card, which I have never used on the account as all my games were either gifted or purchased with gift codes. I'm unable to recover my account without human assistance.

I recently purchased gift cards for my family, only to find out they were redeemed prior to the intended recipient using them. This has happened multiple times before, but now I am seeking a refund for these purchases. I have the receipts for these cards and scratched them myself before sending them out. It seems impossible that they were redeemed before reaching the recipients. I believe the company should be able to track who redeemed these cards since it requires membership. I would appreciate a prompt and respectful response to resolve this issue. Thank you, - M. Braby

Hello, I recently purchased the "Lord of the Rings: Middle-earth" game box in French. I enjoyed playing it on my Samsung S9 until it became stuck at the screen where you are supposed to save the woman from poison because the buttons are not visible. I attempted to seek help from the community forum, but I was unable to post a discussion because I hadn't spent $5. Considering that I spent over €[redacted] (more than $[redacted]) on the box, this was disappointing. Two major issues stood out to me: 1. Being unable to access the community for support despite spending over €[redacted] left me feeling frustrated. 2. The fact that it was not mentioned as a beta version for Samsung but only for iOS and Google Store became apparent after reading the forum discussions, not from the information on the box. I hope these issues can be addressed promptly. Warm regards, D. Delcourt

Hello, my name is Phillip. I believe this is the complaints section for Steam games. I purchased Train Simulator [redacted] last Saturday and find the graphics and controls to be of poor quality. Unfortunately, I've been denied a refund three times even though I have only played the game for 7 hours and the refund policy allows for 14 days. This situation is unacceptable, and I would like a refund as the game did not meet my expectations. Thank you. Regards, Phillip

My brother sent a suspicious message about a CSGO knife from his Steam account to mine. After unknowingly entering my details, I lost access to my account. I informed him, and he couldn't access his either. Update: I am trying to reclaim my Steam account. The support team requested my credit card details for verification purposes. I have provided the necessary information, and I am awaiting a response. Update 2: Steam has responded and reset my password after verifying my details. I have successfully regained access to my account and secured it. It took approximately 3 days, but I am relieved to have my account back.

I recently received a message from a friend, EvoGames878, accusing me of item duplication in a game. Following our conversation, I was directed to contact a person named SkySarSir, who claimed to be a Steam admin. He requested proof of account ownership, which I provided through screenshots. Unfortunately, my account was later compromised, and despite efforts to resolve the issue through Steam support and a community member named Melody, who assisted in banning the impostor account, I am still working on restoring access to my account. I have documented all transactions and conversations as evidence, including interactions with the imposter and Melody's involvement in banning the fraudulent account.

I bought two $50 Steam cards from Walmart Canada store [redacted] on November 29, [redacted]. I purchased them as Christmas gifts for my son. When he tried to redeem them on Christmas morning, he found out they were already redeemed. After contacting Steam support, they confirmed the codes were used and suggested contacting the retailer. Despite visiting Walmart twice, they directed us back to Steam. I spent $[redacted] on cards that didn't work. I don't want a refund, just $[redacted] worth of functional Steam cards. I have the receipts, cards, and emails from Steam. It seems unlikely that both cards randomly selected wouldn't work, and I believe there was an issue with their activation. I just want what I paid for - nothing more, nothing less.

Subject: Need to Update Email Address on Steam Account Hello, I recently reset my PC to factory settings, and I encountered issues logging into my Steam account as I no longer have access to the email and phone number associated with it. Consequently, I couldn't verify the login code sent by Steam. I would like to update my Steam account's email address to my new one, [redacted], to regain access. Email linked to my account, [redacted], and old phone number, [redacted]8, are no longer accessible. My Steam username is matthew17100. I appreciate a prompt response as I've been unable to access my account for weeks now. Thank you.

While playing Destiny 2, I received a message from a friend with a link to Karambit.Fun for a Karambit. After following the link, I encountered a verification process similar to Steam's, which led to my disconnection from both Destiny 2 and Steam. Reattempting to log in, I received an error message stating incorrect account name or password. Despite multiple login attempts through various methods, I remain locked out. I have taken precautionary steps like changing passwords and checking for viruses, but the issue persists. Notably, the recovery email linked to Steam Guard was incorrect, indicating a possible hack. I have reached out to Steam support and am awaiting assistance to regain access to my account promptly.

Hello, my name is Kylee. I was wrongly accused of making illegal purchases on Steam. After providing evidence to the moderator and proving my innocence with screenshots, the moderator asked my parent to pay $60 for further verification. Despite my parent mentioning I was a minor and being unable to afford $60, the moderator insisted on this payment. It was frustrating to go through this process, especially considering I had already shown evidence of the false accusation. It seems unfair that even after proving my innocence and providing transaction history, I still lost my account.

I received an email from Steam stating that someone may have stronger proof of ownership of my long-time account. I had a verified phone number on the account and received a message from what seemed to be a Steam support number "[redacted]" saying my number was removed. This account has my credit card details saved, and I'm concerned about potential implications. Any advice on freezing assets would be appreciated.
