I encountered an individual on CSGO and added them as a friend. Subsequently, they sent me a suspicious link, which I wisely disregarded. Shortly after, I found myself unable to access my account. My friends observed that the culprit's username was appearing on my account, and they too received the same scam email, seemingly sent from my account. To exacerbate the situation, the email address linked to my Steam account has been altered, preventing my access. Despite reaching out to Steam for assistance, I have not received any responses. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. - M.

I recently bought two $50.00 Steam cards from Walmart in Evansville, Indiana, on the west side. I gifted them to a friend who informed me that they were already activated when she tried to use them. I was dismayed to discover that $[redacted].00 was essentially wasted. This isn't the first occurrence of this issue, and I am quite frustrated. My name is Jeff Mulvey, and I reside at [redacted] O'Donnell Rd, Mt. Vernon, Indiana [redacted].

I recently discovered that all my Dota 2 items were traded to another account without my permission. Despite having multiple security measures in place, such as Steam Guard and a separate phone for authentication, my account was still compromised. I am extremely concerned about this unauthorized activity and would like to have my items restored. I am not interested in selling or trading them; I simply want to ensure that my funds are not lost due to a situation that was beyond my knowledge or control.

Hello, I recently discovered that my account's email and phone number have been changed. As a result, I am unable to receive a login code when attempting to sign in on the browser to submit a ticket to the Steam support team. I have all the necessary information to prove that this is indeed my account. I need assistance as I have recently been using the csmoney website, thinking it was legitimate, and now I find myself in this situation. Please help me address this issue promptly. Thank you, William

I am having trouble logging into my account as it keeps requesting the mobile authentication code. Unfortunately, I am not receiving the Steam mobile authentication codes on my app. The app states that codes can only be received on the device it was originally set up on. I believed that was the phone I am currently using, but it seems to be incorrect. The phone number associated with my account should be [redacted]. I am unsure why I was logged out of my Steam account when I had set it to keep me logged in. I am prepared to provide any necessary information to verify my ownership of the account. I have a ticket number HT-54H9-H6CQ-M9NH, but I have not received a response in about two days. I would appreciate knowing that some progress is being made on resolving this issue.

I have only played 2 hours of gameplay due to a 9-hour download process. After downloading via Steam, a launcher appeared and required further downloads of over 100GB, significantly prolonging the installation time. Unfortunately, I am experiencing consistent crashes when trying to run the game. The launcher counted as game time, resulting in 11 hours played, even though most of it was spent on installation due to slow internet speeds. I would like a refund for this issue.

Last night while playing solo, I received a message from a kid stating that I needed to chat with a Steam developer because he had accidentally reported me. He provided a link to the supposed developer. When messaging this person, they seemed robotic, which raised some red flags. The individual claimed that to lift a trade ban, I needed to share my account details. After some time, I reluctantly provided my password, but drew the line at the Steam Guard information. Unfortunately, by clicking on a link in an email he sent me, my Steam Guard was disabled, leaving my account compromised. Despite reaching out to Steam support and taking three hours to lock my account, I am unable to unlock it now. The scammer not only changed my email to his but also removed my phone number. I am at a loss and seeking assistance as Steam support has been unhelpful.

Hello, my boyfriend is an offshore engineer currently stationed in the ocean around [redacted] miles outside of London. The internet access in his location is extremely poor. To help him stay connected with loved ones, I bought STEAM gift cards worth $[redacted]. However, when security on the rig checked the cards, they were already activated even though neither my boyfriend nor I have a STEAM account. We are unable to resolve this issue without an account. I would appreciate guidance on how to contact STEAM to investigate the redeemed cards or request a refund. Thank you for your assistance. - Debby S.

Dear community, My boyfriend, an offshore engineer, is currently working in a remote location outside of London with poor internet access. I bought him $[redacted] in STEAM gift cards to improve his internet connection and stay in touch with family. Unfortunately, the security on the rig informed us that the cards were already used, even though we do not have STEAM accounts. We are seeking a way to track the activity on the cards to identify who redeemed them and request a refund. Can anyone provide advice on how to contact STEAM without having an account? Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

I purchased a Steam card for my son at Christmas, but it was missing four numbers when he scratched it. Walmart in Red Deer, Alberta, would not refund my money and directed me to Steam. I request a refund of $[redacted] or have the amount added to my son's Steam account. If this is not resolved promptly, I will involve the police. I am frustrated with the run-around and may escalate this matter if not addressed today.

I purchased Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege on my account, but then the ultimate edition was released at a lower price. When I tried to buy it, I encountered issues. Despite attempting to contact Steam without success, I managed to remove the game. However, I still couldn't acquire the ultimate edition. In a workaround, I used an alternate account to gift the game to my main one, but encountered acceptance problems. I had to decline the gift, and it reverted to my alternate account, where a refund seems unlikely.

Today, on Sunday the 29th, I bought five $50 Steam cards at a CVS store. Unfortunately, only one of the cards was redeemable as the other four had already been used. Similarly, I purchased four more $50 Steam cards at a different CVS location on the same day, and discovered they had also been redeemed before I had the chance to use them. I seek assistance in understanding why these cards were already redeemed and would like a refund for the ones I could not redeem. Kindly address this matter promptly. Thank you.

Hello, I've had a Steam account for nearly a decade or more. Recently, it's been hacked twice. The first time, I managed to recover it through the Steam website. However, this time around, I can't recover it as the email associated with my account has been changed to what seems to be a Russian domain (.RU). This is strange as I have never used a Russian email for my Steam account, being that I am not in Russia. I would like to either regain access to my account or have it closed and refunded. Unfortunately, I can't use the recovery options as they require an email I no longer have access to and a credit card that has expired and I no longer have in possession. My account username is "guiltytim."

I attempted to obtain a refund for a prepaid card that had already been used before my purchase. The scratch-off section was untouched when I bought it, and I only revealed the code to share with a friend. I visited the store where I purchased it to get a refund, but Steam customer service advised me to check my friend's account at a specified time for the funds. Unfortunately, the money is not showing up in my friend's account as promised.

Hello, I have had a Steam account for nearly a decade or more. Unfortunately, it has been hacked twice in the last few months. The first time, I managed to recover it through the Steam website. However, this time I am unable to do so because the email linked to my account has been changed to what appears to be a Russian email address ending in .RU. This is strange since I have never used a Russian email for my Steam account, as I am not located in Russia. I would like to regain access to my account or have it permanently closed and receive a refund. I am unable to use the recovery process as I no longer have access to the email associated with the account or the expired credit card used for it. My account name is "guiltytim".

My account was hacked by an individual going by the name of Chris-Houston--Support on Steam. This person claimed to be a Steam support member and falsely accused my friend KittyCat101 of duplicate items. They demanded all my items for scanning, then coerced me to log out, threatening to lock me out of my PC. The conversation moved to Discord, where I was instructed to deposit over $[redacted] into a Counter-Strike trading site. Now, I find myself locked out of my account with no way to regain access.

My account was compromised by a profile under the name of https:**steamcommunity.com*id*Chris-Houston--Support, claiming to be a Steam support member. Following a similar incident with my friend https:**steamcommunity.com*id*KittyCat*** being hacked, I was messaged by the account accusing me of having duplicate items. The person behind the profile, Chris-Houston, requested all my items for inspection, threatened to lock me out of my PC, and directed me to deposit money on a Counter-Strike trade site. As a result, I am currently locked out of my account with no way to regain access. Can my account and items be restored?

I bought Serious Sam HD and then asked for a refund when I couldn't purchase the bundle anymore. The refund was processed swiftly, but now the system is prompting me to download both the game and Serious Sam Fusion [redacted] again. I already have these games on my computer and paid for them through the bundle, despite refunding the single game. Can you please reset my account so that I don't have to download them again? It's a large file size and takes a long time due to my internet speed. Thank you.

A friend suggested I try hacks on CS:GO, and I regret it now. I tried them, they worked, and I was happy and having fun. I didn't realize I was going too far. I'm really sorry. CS:GO is a game I played for about 7 hours a day, and I enjoyed it so much. Could you please unban me from CS:GO? I promise not to hack again, and if I do, you can block or ban my whole Steam account. I feel really bad about this, and I know I was stupid. My steam name is: MrT0xic.
