On December 22, the gate for my connecting flight was changed without any notification through text, email, or phone. Despite rushing to the new gate after mistakenly heading to the wrong one due to departing from my previous flight, I missed the plane. Following instructions from Spirit Air staff to visit the service desk, I was informed there were no available flights for several days. Consequently, I received a refund and had to cover the costs for my own hotel accommodation. I then booked a flight with another airline for the following morning, December 23. However, I did not receive a receipt indicating how and when Spirit will process my refund, although they mentioned it would take 7-10 days. I have a confirmation number for a roundtrip flight from Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale with ZYWLSR. The itinerary has changed twice recently, and the latest change no longer suits my travel plans. The email I received states that I am eligible for a refund, so I would like to request one. I have attempted to cancel my trip on Spirit.com under "My Trips," but the website is not accepting my cancellation request. I have also tried calling the customer service number [redacted] multiple times without success in reaching a representative. The online chat option has not been helpful either, as I have not been able to connect with a representative. I am hoping to receive a refund for this flight.

My family was supposed to visit me over Christmas weekend, but their flight got rescheduled to next week. I'm currently working 12-hour shifts and will be leaving soon. I only took leave for this week, so this change in their flight schedule is causing issues for me. I'm frustrated that they couldn't be accommodated on an earlier flight and that customer service was not willing to consider flying them into nearby airports like Savannah or Jacksonville. This situation is due to the airline's actions, not my family's.

I was on Flight [redacted] from Houston to Orlando yesterday, December 27th. I purchased 6 Mega Millions tickets with Mega Plier in Houston before the flight. I had 5 quick picks and 1 with numbers based on my family's birthdays. Unfortunately, they were taken from my luggage, leaving only the play slips behind. I doubt I will hear back from Spirit, but at 76 years old, I believe it is basic courtesy to acknowledge such incidents. I hope the airline takes action regarding theft. My name is Catherine Daley.

On December 24th, my luggage did not make it from Indianapolis to Orlando along with my flight. Despite multiple delays and cancellations, my bag was eventually re-tagged for the correct flight. At one point, it was not removed from the plane, but I was informed it could be picked up in Orlando. Agents in both Orlando and over the phone assured me that an email was sent to Indy to have the bag forwarded to Orlando. However, I have yet to receive confirmation that it has arrived in Orlando.

I experienced a flight delay from Orlando to Hartford resulting in my luggage not arriving with me due to a 6-hour delay. Despite being assured my bag would be delivered, there have been ongoing issues. After rescheduling the delivery twice online, the promised dates were missed. Unfortunately, the website does not provide updates, and attempts to contact the customer service phone line have been unsuccessful. The frustration of being unable to reach anyone or receive responses to messages is overwhelming. Any assistance or guidance on addressing this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding Flight [redacted] from Orlando to Chicago on December 11, [redacted], I, Anna Hernandez, am deeply disappointed with the experience I had with Spirit Airlines. Despite previously enjoying my travels with them, my return trip from Orlando left me shocked and frustrated. Upon unpacking on December 15, [redacted], I discovered that my luggage had been tampered with - the lock was broken, and items were missing. This violation of my belongings has left me feeling violated and betrayed, especially considering the stressful situation with my husband's health. As a loyal customer, I am appalled by the lack of respect and integrity shown by Spirit Airlines' employees. I have evidence of the missing items, their value, and proof of purchase. I am seeking reimbursement for these items as a gesture of goodwill during this challenging time. I sincerely hope the leadership team, including Robert L. Fornaro and Edward M. Christie III, will address my concerns and take appropriate action to resolve this distressing situation.

On January 2nd, my wife and I were on Flight [redacted] to FLL. Although our tickets permitted one checked bag each, we only needed one bag. However, we were charged $99 because the bag was over 40 lbs. We requested allowance for a second bag, but the ticket agent was unsure how to proceed and needed assistance. On January 8th, before our return flight to Charlotte, we explained the situation to a specialist. She agreed to refund the $99 as a gesture of goodwill, but encountered difficulty processing it due to incorrect ticket information shown as a bundle purchase. Hello, I am Genevieve Aderholdt-Guillemette. My boyfriend Michael Ruel-Wesbroom and I have booked a flight through the Hooper app. Our Spirit Airlines flight is scheduled for January 30th at 11:30 PM to Managua, Nicaragua, with a return on February 14th at 2:07 AM to Fort Lauderdale. I have not received the confirmation tickets or my receipt. I have the Hooper confirmation email but the confirmation number provided does not work on the Spirit Airlines app or website. I spoke with two Spirit representatives via chat messaging, and they were supposed to send me my tickets, but I have not received them. I have checked my email, including spam folders, but still cannot locate the tickets. Could you please assist me in sending my confirmation and tickets promptly, as I want to ensure there are no issues that could cause me to be late for my flight?

On 01/11/[redacted], I attempted to confirm my flights and noticed an unexpected bag check added to my reservation. After speaking with Noah from Spirit Customer Service, I explained that the bag was for my son, not me, and he updated the reservation accordingly. I also addressed the carry-on issue, informing Noah that our backpacks adhered to guidelines and should not incur any charges. Noah removed the carry-on charges from both our reservations. Although we had no issues flying to Miami with our personal backpacks, upon our return, a TSA Agent insisted we pay for them. After waiting in line for about 12 to 15 minutes, the agent requested $99.00 for the backpack. Despite showing our reservation and boarding passes indicating no carry-ons, we paid to avoid missing our flight. I am seeking a refund of $99.00 as Noah assured us there would be no charge for personal backpacks as long as they met policy guidelines, which they did.

On January 21, [redacted], my flight from IAH to BOI, with a layover in LAS, experienced a mechanical/maintenance delay. Despite resolving the issue, the entire flight crew was unavailable, leaving my son, who serves in the military, stranded in Houston for an additional day. This has resulted in a whole day lost with him and him waiting aimlessly in the airport for 24 hours. I feel that the airline should either provide a hotel room or cover the cost of an alternative flight with another airline. I have noticed a United flight departing IAH at 4:56 pm and arriving in BOI at 8 pm as a potential solution to this situation. I hope this matter can be addressed promptly to avoid escalating my dissatisfaction through customer service channels and social media.

I am still awaiting the return of my lost luggage from my trip on Sunday, January 29, [redacted]. My journey started in Fort Lauderdale, with a connecting flight in Houston, and ultimately arriving in LAX on the 29th. Unfortunately, my luggage did not make it from Houston to LAX with me. I landed at LAX around 7:30 AM on the 29th and was informed by the Spirit luggage attendant, Elvis, that my bag was en route and should have been delivered to my home that same day, which did not happen. The missing item is a large purple cloth suitcase with my address on the back flap. I kindly request that Melinda Recchi be contacted as soon as possible at [redacted]. Thank you.

I arrived back at O'Hare on December 27, [redacted], but unfortunately, my luggage did not arrive. After speaking with a representative at the baggage claim office, they mentioned my bag didn't make the flight despite my early arrival. They assured me it would be on the next flight and delivered the following day, but it didn't arrive. After several attempts to locate it and filing a claim, I was informed I would hear back or be reimbursed within 30 days. I'm still waiting for any updates. My luggage contained essential items, Christmas gifts, and I was even charged an overweight fee. This situation has been quite distressing for me.

I am Captain Pat Barnard with the Shelby Township Police Department in Michigan. I am reaching out to request an extension of 90 days for the flights we had to cancel due to the unfortunate passing of our officer, Sgt. Dan Kammerzall, while on duty. Spirit Airlines kindly granted us a 90-day extension which expires on 02/04. However, we have faced challenges in utilizing the credit due to multiple cancellations of planned training classes. We are looking to attend alternative training sessions, but they are not frequently available. I kindly ask for assistance in extending the timeframe so we can make use of the $[redacted].36 credit. We missed our flight from Chicago O'Hare to Tampa Airport despite arriving with 2 hours to spare. The Spirit Airlines staff at the terminal did not allow us to board due to overbooking, even though we had our boarding passes. Our confirmation code is PI8ZWJ and the passengers were B.O. and E.N. While we usually enjoy flying with Spirit, the treatment we received yesterday was upsetting and has left us feeling distressed as we are now unable to visit my parents who are leaving Florida today. Despite this, we still plan to make the trip. I have a concern about our carry-on bags. We paid $[redacted] for bags that did not make it on the flight, and I have the receipts. I hope I will not be charged an additional $[redacted] on top of the stress and inconvenience we have already faced, including the extra costs of traveling back home.

I had to cancel my flight from February 14 to 17 due to a medical emergency with my physician's verification. I need to rebook the flight for a court date and add another person. The flight had confirmation number EEPESC. Additionally, I have a flight booked to Miami from March 1 to 7, confirmation number GW33FR, which I need to reschedule because of a medical procedure postponed by my recent emergency. I missed my flight from Fort Lauderdale to Denver on February 22, [redacted], at 8:50 PM. I had to fly the next day from Miami on February 23, [redacted], at 05:45 AM. Arriving in Denver around 8:00 AM, I discovered that my ski suitcase was at the oversize baggage area, but my other luggage was missing. I reported the issue to a Spirit representative, Mrs. Michael Voliton. After checking the office for missing bags with no luck, I was provided a phone number to call at [redacted] and a car with a QR code that was not functional. My vacation plans crumbled due to this incident, leaving me stranded in Denver. Despite reaching out to the Weston hotel and the baggage claim office, I still lacked any concrete answers. Upon my return to Miami, a second claim was filed with Spirit, but communication via phone at [redacted] was unsuccessful. I am eagerly awaiting a resolution and hope for a prompt response.

I booked a flight for January 5th, [redacted], but the itinerary email didn't include a confirmation number. I contacted "Bookings Superfares" to address the issue. Within 24 hours of departure, I spoke to three different agents over the phone, waiting for over 2 hours with one agent keeping me on hold for an additional half-hour. Despite providing all the relevant information such as my name, flight details, and date of birth, they refused to give me the confirmation number needed to board my flight the next day. After being denied the code and missing my flight, I finally received the confirmation code from Natasha after 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning. I was advised to file a complaint. I am looking to receive a refund for the ticket and seat I paid for, so I can use that amount towards another ticket.

During my son's ski trip to Colorado with a group, they flew on Spirit Airlines. Unfortunately, his luggage got lost, and despite filing a claim, it never arrived. With no clothes or ski jacket, he bought some essential items based on a Spirit agent's advice, which Spirit promised to reimburse. After a struggle, we gathered the receipts and submitted them post-claim. However, Spirit later informed us via email that they couldn't offer further assistance or follow-up. Following my email to Customer Service, each member of his group received $[redacted].00 vouchers, but my son has yet to be compensated for his lost items. I am extremely frustrated with this lack of resolution and support from Spirit.

I was on Flight NK600 scheduled to depart at 4:20. Due to mechanical problems, we waited on the plane for over an hour and a half. After being told to disembark for repairs, it took another hour to reboard. When I handed my boarding pass to the Spirit representative, there was an issue finding it, but I had it on my phone. We didn't leave Atlanta until 8:10 pm, arriving in Philadelphia around 9:40. My ride had left, and when I tried to claim my luggage, it took 45 minutes due to a shortage of staff handling multiple flights. I had to call out of work and find another ride. This was my first time using Spirit through Priceline, and despite paying for my seat and baggage, there were available seats and conflicting information online. I believe I deserve compensation for the inconvenience, and you can credit my son's account since he recommended Spirit and assisted me in getting home.
